Thank You All So Much :)
2 and a half months ago, I signed up to Wattpad, because I was bored. Yes, I was bored at 4:00am and was looking at amourshipping and thought 'hey, maybe Wattpad has some fan fictions' and I have never regretted my half asleep decision. The people I have met within this community and realizing how nice everyone is. The stories that are published onto Wattpad, awe inspiring stories that jump out at you and get you involved in every aspect, making you want to comment here and there, while enjoying the story for what it is. Then, I thought, I could write my own. I was confident in my writing skills so I thought, why not?
Having no experience with fan fictions at all, let alone much amourshipping, I set off and published the first part to the first story of Ash's journey through Vaniville High. I never expected it to last this long, despite me wanting to write for fun. There was another reason that I never mentioned. I wanted to write for entertainment, to make people happy when reading a book. All of the positive feedback that came through made me feel happy and want to write more. Sometimes I thought negatively about my work and contemplated editing everything. I even sometimes thought about quitting, but I thought of the people who enjoyed my chapters and wanted more. They asked for more, so it was my duty to then give back to them, as a token for their kind words. It became more than me wanting to write chapters. It became a group of books where everyone wanted to write. We was all involved in some way or another, making it OUR books. I do not like to think of them as just mine, because without any support, I wouldn't have felt obligated to write anymore. I wanted to keep writing the ideas in my head until I couldn't think of anything new.
Now, after reading this far you have probably figured something out. This is where the story ends off. The ending may be a little bad, but we all now know that it was Ash's perfect year and that he got to complete his dream of being with Serena for as long as possible. Even with the obstacles in his way, he accomplished his goal. Did I accomplish my goal? Just like Ash, I had times where I struggled and couldn't cope, times where I wrote a whole book and a half in three days, just for the fun of it. Times where I ended a chapter of 700 words, thinking that was good enough. But in the end, I did what I set out to do initially. Read some amourshipping fan fictions that were good enough to read and then my secondary goal, which was to write my own that people enjoyed, which I think I have completed, so thank you all once more.
I would love to thank everyone individually, but there is alot of people so I have to thank you all as one.
The first amourshipping story I read was 'Pokemon High - An Amourshipping Fanfiction' by _Pika_ and I caught up in one night, reading the whole thing. It was such an amazing story and, being the first fanfiction I read, gave me an idea of the types of things that were put into those stories. Humour was something quite common and Pika is known for her running bus gag, which I still love to this day. She was the main reason for me to start writing, my source of inspiration so to speak. Without her book, I am not sure where I would be today, so thank you Pika :)
The other source of motivation, was Typovo with a variety of books, to be honest. Someone who has written so much and is writing so much, she must have four hands just to write each book and ensure chapters are done for every single one. As soon as an idea pops into her head, she is down and writing about it, without thinking twice. My second ever fanfiction I read was 'Pokemon Junior High ~Young Love~ (Amourshipping)' which I also went through on the same night as my first ever fanfiction (or amourshipping story), continuously enjoying each chapter and wanting more. Reading fan fiction at the beginning felt like an anime. Once I finished it, I wanted more, but there is always a limit to what you get and you have to live with it. Typovo is a great writer that can continuously vary sentences with different words and she makes writing look too easy.
I was then motivated by these two amazing people to start my own. Granted, I was a complete noob at Wattpad and had no idea in terms of what to do etc. but I managed to pull through somehow and survive ;)
ANYWAY, I only wanted to say thank you, but look at me rambling on. This is one last thank you from me, because this is the end now for this series. I was glad to be able to write these books and I hope my next projects have the same kind of success. For now though, let us remember #ThePerfectYear
I'll see you all again with a new pokemon book in the future!
Bye for now ;)
