So, in the last chapter I may have (by accident) called Serena, Sarah. Now I have tried to correct this several times but the correction never comes up, so it is just kind of stuck there. Sorry for the mistake x)

A quick note: I will tell you that this book is going to end soon and then I will be thinking about what else to do afterwards. For now, how is the book so far? I think these last few chapters have been bad, but I guess I am just stubborn :P

Without further ado, here is the chapter!

(Serena)

Our final exams for the school year are starting in three weeks and I can already feel the nerves getting to me. I know in order to get into my desired college I need a grade point average of 3.0+, which shouldn't be too hard. I worry about Ash though, being aware of his future plans. Last year I think he only just got through the first and second semester of subjects he chose. Luckily, I was in his social studies and he has been doing well most of the time, so he shouldn't have to worry about that, but he should be studying for his other subjects.

My Mom has been on my back over the few months asking about my grades so I have been proving to her that I have been studying hard and getting the grades I need. Now all I have to do is hope my overall score is good, because I may have to rely on these final exams and any last pieces of homework.

"She's in her room.." I heard a faint voice downstairs, which must've been Mom. I heard footsteps rushing up the stairs, Ash maybe?

"Serena?" Dawn's voice came through the door as she slowly opened it. I got up off of my bed and greeted Dawn with a hug. 

"What are you doing here?" I wondered, thinking of any possible reasons for her to be at my house.

"Well, I just wanted to come and study with someone and you came to mind. Is that ok?" Dawn asked, looking a little awkward. "If you want I'll-"

"No it's fine" I cut her off, gesturing for her to come in properly so I could shut the door. "Lets do some studying!"

Part way through looking at some advanced art books and trying to study the drawings while practising our own work, Dawn stopped working for a moment.

"Say, I haven't seen Ash in a while, is he okay?" She suddenly asked me. 

I stopped working and looked up, with a shrug.

"I suppose so, he finished his suspension last week and just hasn't been around much" I shrugged again, going back to my work.

"Maybe he is nervous" Dawn gestured to the books, indicating our final grades.

"I am sure he is fine. I think it's just Kevin" I sighed. I didn't want to mention his name in a conversation with Dawn.

"What's happened?" She instantly said, literally jumping in my face. Well, guess I just had to hope she wouldn't play 21 questions.

"Well, Kevin has still been getting on our nerves and it seems like he has also been trying to provoke Ash, probably wants to get him expelled and then ruin his chances of going to college with me" The idea was feesible, after all. Ash was very temperamental, so it wouldn't be too hard to make him mad, for Kevin anyway.

"That's just stupid, forget about that idiot and just focus" Dawn advised me, but it was more for Ash's sake.

"Try telling that to Ash" I let out another sigh. I wanted to continue working but as always Dawn took me seriously.

"Ok then, lets go to Ash's and talk to him" Dawn got up and didn't even hesitate. She threw her shoes back on and it was clear that she was going to Ash's with or without me, so I had no choice but to put my shoes back on and follow her outside. We knocked on Ash's door, but there was no answer for a few moments. After knocking again, Delia opened the door.

"Oh, Serena and Dawn" She said with a smile. "Ash isn't in right now, he went to see his friends, they went to Cilan's house I think"

"Oh, ok. Thanks Delia" I said with a smile, before chasing after Dawn who had already walked off. 

"Why were you running?" Dawn asked me, like I was some sort of idiot for running after her.

"Because you keep rushing off. I hate it when you're like this" I caught my breath back and we slowed down to a slow walk, heading to Cilan's.

"Like what?" Dawn asked me, this time she looked like the idiot.

"Nevermind" I shook my head and laughed, continuing on. Dawn kept a stupid look on her face all the way there.

(Ash)

"I win again!" Gary boasted, holding up his controller. Calem's face dropped and he began mumbling under his breath about Gary cheating or something.

"Can I ask why you guys are just sitting around?" Cilan looked up from his textbook, raising an eyebrow. "I thought you came here to study with us?"

"Yeah, we did" Calem stopped moaning and put the controller down. "Can we not take a break once in awhile?"

"Well, you have been taking a break since we got here" Kenny replied, making Calem's face drop again.

"Whatever.." He mumbled, getting out a textbook and opening it. 

"How's it feel being back in school?" Gary sat down next to me and leaned against the wall, putting his arms behind his head as a headrest. 

"I prefer being in school, there is nothing to watch or do during the weekdays on my own, it was kind of boring" I admitted, because it was really boring.

"Yeah. Plus, you saw Serena everyday after school, which hasn't happened that much this year" Gary pointed out and I nodded.

"Yeah, after like the first time, Serena kept asking me why I wasn't waiting for her after school, so I kind of went with it" I shrugged and opened up my bag, taking out a can of sprite. I cracked it open and placed it on the round table we all sat at.

"That's why I am glad to be single" Drew suddenly piped up. Everyone looked at him for a moment. "I mean, I feel like Jay-Z with all this school work"

"I don't get it" Gary's face went blank as he tried to figure out what Drew meant.

"You can say that again" Cilan laughed, placing his textbook down.

"No seriously, what is it?" Gary asked again. This time, all the heads went his way as we all stared at him in all of his stupidity.

"A song Jay-Z sang..." I said, staring at his blank face. He stared back at me and blinked once. I knew he still didn't understand.

"If you're having girl problems I feel bad for you son" Drew suddenly murmured while writing in his book.

"I got 99 problems, but the bitc-" Kenny tried to finish, but he was cut off by a loud knock on the door.

I got up and moved over to the door. Opening it, I saw Dawn and Serena.

"Oh hey you guys!" I said with a smile, looking at their faces. Serena looked annoyed whereas Dawn had a face that told me she was going to be asking some questions or something stupid.

"I just wanted to say, forget about Kevin and focus on your work" Dawn suddenly blurted out. I raised an eyebrow and pulled a straightface. I didn't care for that brain dead loser anyway, so why was she saying this.

"Sorry about Dawn, we was talking about it and I said she should tell you her advice, so she actually left my house to come find you" Serena nervously explained, rubbing her arm. 

"No need to be so nervous, Serena, it's fine. I will take your advice into consideraiton?" I asked as a question, wondering if it was the right thing to say.

"No, you will use my advice. Promise me" Dawn put her hands on her hips and leaned into my face. "Promise me you will" She could be so strange at the best of times, when it came to other people of course.

"Erm.." I scratched the back of my head and shrugged casually. "I promise"

"Great!" Dawn clapped her hands and turned to Serena. "Ok, lets go" 

She attempted to drag Serena off, holding her in a vice grip as they left Cilan's front yard. Serena turned around and mouthed 'sorry' and I just laughed, waving as they left.

I shut the door and turned back around to the guys, who were sitting in silence.

"It seems Ash has 100 problems" Gary suddenly said, as if getting Drew's joke. Everyone else began laughing as I slowly sat back down. That was possibly the weirdest moment of my life, but it gave me some confidence in wanting to ignore Kevin, because I didn't have time to waste on him.
