Somewhere between this and the next chapter we will hit 500 reads. I am overwhelmed by that purely by the fact that I suck at writing, so it's a surprise to see people read, even if chapter 16 is more popular then 6.

It was the first wednesday of the summer and we was sat on the plane bound for L.A aka our holiday destination for a week. It was a new experience to be going with friends so I was super excited. Clemont had to go on holiday with his family on the other side of the country and of course Calem was in England with Serena. So me, Cilan, Drew and Kenny sat together on the plane, with Kenny's dad. His dad was a nice person and didn't ask for much. He said we could do what we want but he was there to keep an eye on us in the hotel.

"I heard in L.A it is like 10 times hotter and so are the chicks too!" Gary seemed too excited by the though of girls.

"I doubt you could get a Californian girl anyway, Gary, even with your 'good looks' " Cilan ssid with a smirk.

Gary smirked back "Challenge accepted!"

We groaned at Gary and his oversized ego.

"You know, Gary, your ego wont fit in the hotel" Kenny said and we laughed. My thoughts exactly.

He stared at us dumbfounded and shook his head.

"With my incredible looks I will get a girl in the first five seconds!" He said, with a little too much confidence.

"Yeah?" Snickered Drew "How much will you pay her" We couldn't help but burst out laughing. It was too funny to handle. Gary seemed a little frustrated.

"Gary, I am sure you will get a girl in the first five seconds" Kenny's dad said reassuringly.

"See, your dad believes in me Kenny!"

Kenny sighed and put his hand to his head. Gary must have shrunk his brain and inflated his ego.

The plane took off and it took a few hours to reach our destination. I didn't risk sleeping as the others would get up to no good. I was right when Kenny risked it, because Drew took a picture and sent it to Dawn, who woke up him up by sending it to him. We laughed just as much as we did with Gary, and Gary shared the laugh aswell.

Once we touched down, Gary had already started. "Hey how old do you think she is?" He pointed over to a women who was atleast twenty.

"She looks about twenty" Kenny said. I nodded in agreement.

"Age is but a number, who cares if it's true love?" Gary began walking over, when Cilan stopped him.

"You're fourteen and she is twenty. That isn't true love, that's illegal" Cilan said this seriously and pulled Gary along with us until he gave up.

We arrived in the hotel and got three keys. One for me and Cilan. The room next door for Kenny, Drew and Gary and finally the single room for Kenny's dad. Once we settled in we spent the whole day in the hotel pool, relaxing and pranking each other. It was a little late at night and while the rest of them were ordering pizza, I decided to message Serena.

'Hey there, how is England treating you? Like their queen I hope'

She replied as if she was expecting a message.

'Oh Ash, you're making me blush infront of my new friends '

I smiled at that, atleast she was making friends.

'I was just checking if you're okay. Message me when you wake up tomorrow, I will be able to talk more then, okay?'

'Okay, Ash. Talk to you later. Ily '

'Ily even more xx'

I put my phone down as they came in with the pizza. We watched some college basketball on the TV while we ate.

"Drew, why don't you try out for the school basketball team?" Kenny asked with a mouthful of pizza.

"Only if you guys do too, we make a great team" I nodded at Drews point. I wanted to try out anyway.

The others agreed and it was settled. We finished the game and our pizza then went to sleep. Summer had just begun.
