Last chapter was kind of bad in my opinion :p

It was just last week when I was caught up in a robbery, but it felt like it was a few hours ago. I sat up on my bed and rubbed my eyes. Just by looking outside at the sun I could tell it was late in the morning. It sat high in the sky. I confirmed this by checking the time and realised I had four messages in my inbox.

'Where are you Ash?'

'I thought you was coming to mine today?'

'Ash?'

'?'

Oh great, she will probably be so mad with me. I overslept when we was going to spend the day together. I got changed fast and forgetting breakfast, headed to Serena's. I knocked on her door but no one answered. I tried the door but it was locked. She must've gone out.

I began typing away on my phone.

'Where are you Serena? I overslept'

The message delivered but after five minutes no one replied. I decided to go to Dawn's house and check there. I knocked on the door and Dawn opened it.

"Oh, hi Ash, do you need something?" Dawn raised an eyebrow for a second.

"Have you seen Serena? We was supposed to spend the day together but she is not at home" I replied, checking my phone.

"Your guess is as good as mine. Why don't you try Calems" she winked at me. I guessed that Serena had messaged her today. Why was she at Calems?

30 minutes earlier
(Serena)

Ash promised to meet me an hour ago, why was he so late? Did he decide he doesn't want to spend time with me? I wanted to cry but I held it back. Suddenly I heard a voice.

"Are you okay Serena?" I turned to see Calem, who sat down next to me.

I shook my head and a tear dropped onto my lap "Ash promised to meet me here an hour ago"

Calem looked a little angry "He would be here if he wanted to be, a man should never break a promise" I nodded, it was true. I suddenly burst out into tears. Calem supportively hugged me.

"Why not come to my house, I'm sure I can make it up to you for him" Calem smiled and I smiled back. I was happy to know he supported me.

We walked to his house and I stepped in behind him, going to his room.

We talked for half an hour, laughing and having fun, before there was a knock on his door.

I knocked a second time, impatiently. Calem answered the door.

"What do you want?" He looked at me angrily.

"I need to talk to Serena" I said peering in through the door "I know she is here"

Calem sneered "Well I don't think she-" Calem was interrupted by a voice I couldn't hear.

Calem left the door and Serena walked out.

"Listen, Serena-" I began, but she wouldn't listen.

"Why did you leave me waiting, Ash?" She looked really upset "I sat there for an hour looking like an idiot and you didn't have the decency to reply 5 minutes ago with an excuse?" She looked at me like I was something stuck on the back of her shoe.

"Serena, I am so sorry I overslept, lets go now, shall we?" I smiled but she shook her head.

"You're too late Ash, not today" She said, closing the door.

"SERENA!" I shouted at the door. I wasn't going to give up so I headed to the mall.

I got out my phone and called Cilan.

"Ash, you need something?" He said into the phone.

"Meet me at the mall, I am having a relationship crisis" Cilan hung up without another word and showed up within five minutes.

"What's the problem?" He said, as we walked around.

"Well, I promised Serena a great day out and I overslept. She waited for an hour before, for some reason going to Calem's house. When I get there she wouldn't speak to me" I sat down, feeling fed up. Everytime things looked perfect, we was driven apart somehow.

"I see and you want my help getting a present?" I nodded at Cilan. He was noticeably sharp today.

"Hmm, well nothing says I am sorry like a box of chocolates" Cilan shrugged.

"You watch way too many movies, Cilan" I laughed, it was a fair point though. I bought the biggest box in the chocolate shop and headed to my house.

"Cilan, you're decent at art, so do you mind helping me with something?" I asked. It was part of the sorry gifts.

Soon afterwards, I sat outside of Serena's house and waited. Her mom passed me at 20:00pm and said nothing. I presumed she was a little mad too. I sat outside until ten and she still wasn't home. It began to rain hard, but I waited still. Eventually she opened her gate and I stood up. The rain had soaked me top to bottom and I was freezing. I held the box that had a bow wrapped around it. The bow was tied by a love heart that said 'Serena' in the middle. She took the box and smiled.

"Ash Ketchum, you're such an idiot" She blushed and moved closer "But, you're my idiot" She got on the tip of her toes and I met her lips. We kissed as the rain danced around us and it was another moment I would not forget. She was perfect for me.
