After the summer, we all parted ways and decided to do different things, jobs, college, whatever we felt was necessary to follow our dreams. We didn't all fully part ways, I still got to stay with two of my best friends, Misty and Dawn.

"Dawn, how long are you going to drag us around for?" I moaned as we stepped into yet another shop. Dawn was skipping around, with joy on her face. Misty and I were carrying bags full of clothes, shoes and whatever else. Some of it was ours, but Dawn was having a field day. 

"Why can't you just get a boyfriend so we can stop this?" Misty moaned too. Dawn stopped and turned around to face Misty, hands on her hips.

"Do you not like shopping?" she asked, in all of her glory.

"Not really" Misty replied bluntly, holding a straight face through it all. 

"It is getting quite late and we can't really carry anymore. Shall we call it a night?" I suggested, looking between a tired Misty and frowning Dawn.

"Sounds good to me" Misty instantly brightened up and Dawn sighed.

"I guess I have been buying too much, let's get going then" 

With that, we all headed out back to Dawn's house. We had planned a sleepover the previous day, after college. I went to a different college than Misty and Dawn, but we were only on either end of the city. Dawn managed to grab up an apartment using her parents money that they had spoiled her with after getting good grades on her finals.

This was my first time stepping into the apartment. 

Dawn took out her key and unlocked the door, before opening it up. We stepped inside in awe of the apartment. It was a very lavish living space. The lounge area had a large leather sofa, with a black wood coffee table, that had a very expensive looking flower vase. The TV on the wall looked like a 40-inch TV, with surround sound. For some reason, Dawn also had a Wii set up. The kitchen was connected to the lounge area, with a white counter and black tabletop in the centre, then the same counters all around the outside, with her oven and other necessary kitchen equipment. Dawn's apartment was finished by a large master bedroom and a smaller, yet more peaceful looking guest bedroom. Everything was finished off by a balcony, overlooking the whole neighbourhood. After all, Dawn was on the top floor. 

"Why is there little or no lights in the apartment?" Misty wondered out loud after we took a look around.

"Well, it is because the right side of the apartment is mostly glass, which means natural light has its benefits, such as being good for the environment" Dawn explained.

"Since when did you become environmentally friendly? You buy clothes made from animals" Misty pouted, but Dawn shrugged.

"Every little helps" 

"What should we do then, since we have quite a few hours to kill still?" I asked, looking around the apartment. There wasn't a lot to do since the place wasn't massive. 

"Shall we go and see Drew and Kenny?" Dawn suggested. "I am hungry anyway, so we can grab some food there" 

"Sounds like a good idea, actually" I nodded, it did sound like a pretty good idea.

"Sure, why not. We haven't seen them in awhile" Misty agreed and it was settled. We put our things down and sorted out the beds for the night, although I knew we were probably going to sleep on the sofa and on the carpet in the lounge area. 

We all hopped into Dawn's car since Misty didn't have hers on hand and I hadn't got a license yet, never mind a car. We drove down the road and headed into the centre of Vaniville, where Drew and Kenny were working. 

"You look so nervous while driving" Misty commented from the passenger seat. Dawn didn't reply, I could tell without looking that she focusing on the driving.

"I think she just wants to make sure everything is done right" I suggested from the back seat.

The rest of the journey was a little quiet, since Dawn's car was a convertible. We didn't want to talk much and have random people walking by and listening in.

We parked up outside of the fast food restaurant and hopped out of the car. The place seemed a little deserted.

"Thank god it isn't busy" Misty sighed with relief. 

"I suppose it is a good thing, isn't it?" Dawn locked the car and we headed inside, instantly seeing Drew and Kenny, who both looked over at us entering. 

"Oh, hey guys!" Kenny waved to us from behind the counter, throwing the towel he had over his shoulder.

"Long time no see" Drew nodded his head in greeting and stepped into the office area at the back.

"Sorry if Drew seems a little distant, work has been a little stressful lately" Kenny explained, before sliding over to the cash register. "What can I get you all?" 

"A sal-" Dawn started, but Misty threw an arm out to cut her off.

"Three burgers, no salad" she sounded serious, the kind of face that told Kenny he had to make burgers or nothing.

"Ok then" Kenny kept a smile on his face, professional service. "That's six dollars please"

I got out my money before anyone could say anything and passed six to Kenny, who took it and after opening up the cash register, slid it into the correct place, pushing the register shut.

"So, how has everything been going?" I decided to ask Kenny, who turned back to me while the burgers cooked.

"Good, actually. Business has been a little slow recently, a few things have happened that have caused trouble, but besides that, nothing much" Kenny shrugged, like it was no big deal. 

"I think you're quite lucky with the situation you are in, with the money and everything" I leaned over and cheekily grabbed a soda from the fridge. I pushed down the tab and opened it.

"Hey, you can't take that!" Kenny went to grab it, but I stepped back and took a sip.

"Too late" I giggled, turning round to Dawn and Misty. "Want one?"

"I am fine" Dawn opened up her bag and took out a water bottle. 

"I'm not thirsty, to be honest. I just want a burger real bad" Misty said imatiently, looking over to Kenny. "How long do they usually take?"

"Not that long" He replied, not looking over his shoulder. He began to turn the burgers around and turned back to us again.

Just then, another girl entered the restaurant. I turned to Dawn first, whose jaw had dropped. She was always the kind of person to be conscious about her figure and I knew she was thinking about how good this girl looked.

"Afternoon Georgia" Kenny said, making us all turn to him now. Misty didn't seem the least bit interested.

"Kenny" Georgia smiled. "Where is Drew?" 

"He is just in the office, you can go in if you want" Kenny gestured to the little gate at the other end of the counter. Georgia nodded and walked through and into the back.

"Who-wha...when" Dawn kept looking around, in a dazed state.

"That's Drews girlfriend, good catch, ain't she?" Kenny made us all stare back at him, with frowns.

"You can't say things like that about someone elses girlfriend!" Dawn blurted out.

"Sure I can, I am entitled to my own opinion" Kenny just grinned and began to finish off our burgers.

"Well, in any case, he has done good" Misty admitted casually. 

"Here you are" Kenny handed out the burgers and we stood at the counter eating. "What made you come here?"

"We wanted to come see you guys again, we kind of miss the whole gang" I sighed, placing my elbow on the counter. I cupped my hand around my chin and leaned down slightly.

"Why don't we set something up then?!" Dawn jumped up excitedly, proud of her own suggestion.

"What, like a suprise party?" Misty asked, inbetween bites of her burger.

Dawn nodded and then tapped her chin for ideas.

"We could go and visit Serena and Ash, suprise them!" she suggested.

"Dawn" Kenny said, grabbing her attention.

"What is it?" Dawn asked, her face dropping just incase it was bad news.

"You are a genius!" Kenny grabbed his mobile phone and span it up into his face. "I'll call up the rest of the gang and we can figure out a meeting place"

"So, we are finally going to reunite? Like a family reunion" Misty folded her arms, but she couldn't help but smile. 

(Misty)

I looked around at the excited faces of the others and couldn't help but smile myself.

I felt a little annoyed at Dawn, who was always overexcited, but that wasn't it. It's just her constant nagging about her figure.

A salad? In a fast food restaurant? What was she even thinking.

Kenny put down his phone and turned to us. 

"That only took a few calls, everyone picked up pretty quickly" he said, with a smile still on his face.

"What's going on?" Drew came walking in, Georgia holding his hand. 

"Kenny?" she asked, looking over his shoulder at the three of us. I couldn't help but stare back with my straight face, which made her look away.

"What's going on?" Kenny repeated, turning to drew. He had a large grin on his face. "It hasn't been that long at all has it? Well, I guess it can't be helped. We are going to be reuniting the group once more"

"It's only been, what, a year now?" Drew grinned. "I like it"

"What's 'the group'?" Georgia looked up at Drew.

"We was a large group of friends throughout highschool" I explained, seeing May wanted to talk. 

"Clemont left in the first year, so it was me, Misty, Dawn, Serena, Iris, Cilan, Calem, Drew, Gary, Kenny and Ash" May looked like she was going to forget everyones names. 

"That's a relatively large group" Georgia nodded. 

"So, when and where are we meeting?" Drew asked one more question.

"We are going to suprise Ash and Serena, at their apartment" Kenny continued to smile.

"Wait, they don't know?" Drew rubbed his hands together. "This is getting good"

Just then, Calem and Gary walked in together. They started their training in the police academy at the end of the summer. I noticed how they was dressed, like professionals. They hadn't finished their training however, since they still had another 4 years.

"Cilan would be digging your get-ups y'know" May commented. Everyone nodded, looking really please with Gary and Calem.

"How are you finding the course, Gary, you're still in it?" Kenny looked rather shocked, but he jokingly grinned.

"Shut it, I am the best in the class" Gary's first words after a year just had to be him boasting.

"I have better exam scores" Calem did a mock whisper, purposefully letting Gary hear him.

"I can hear you, you know!" Gary turned to Calem, who shrugged.

"Woops" he said, everyone laughing.

"Good to see you guys haven't really changed" Dawn said through her laughs, everything gradually calming down.

"What about Iris and Cilan?" Calem span around and leaned against the counter. 

"I called them and they are on their way. They are quite far away, so it will take a few hours" Kenny rubbed his hands together. "Drew, close up please, we are going to have a little dinner while we wait"

"Great, I am starving" Calem patted his stomach. "Work was hard this week"

"You didn't do anything!" Gary jumped onto a table and waited for the food to be made.

We all ate a few things here and there, before Iris and Cilan arrived.

"Iris, Cilan!" everyone shouted in unison.

"Hi guys" Iris spoke for them both.

"Nice attire, Calem, Gary" Cilan nodded to them both respectively.

"Told you guys" May smiled, but Cilan looked at her questioningly.

"Told them what?" he asked, puzzled.

"Nothing" May shook her head. "Come and sit down"

"Our college is amazing!" Cilan exclaimed as they sat down. "There is so much to do and see"

"Also, we have someone in the college you guys might like to see, although he is currently busy and couldn't come with us" Iris looked at everyone, they all looked intrigued. "It's Clemont"

"Woah, really?" Dawn was the first to comment, everyone else seemed surprised.

"So he came closer to the local area once more, huh?" Gary shrugged. "It would be nice to see him again"

We spent the next hour or so planning the reunion. We didn't know what the future held for all of us, but at the age of eighteen or nineteen, the future and our dreams were still separate things. We just had to keep chasing our dreams and move forward to a better future. We decided to surprise the lovebirds, Ash and Serena.

Time for us all to reunite.
