Mariana stood, battle ready, in front of Michael. Michael hailed a hand to force Ethan at watch. Marcus shut his eyes in hope of keeping the image gone from his eyes. Mariana nodded towards Marcus, then towards, Carter, finally towards Michael who already stood to her feet. Watching her from below, scanning her up and down. His massive height made him tower over her, stalking her pride and shrinking her courage.

"Then let the battles begin," Michael said within a smirk. He threw his blade forwards, snatching opened a scar that had healed shut after many days. Mariana jumped back and gave a deadly look to Michael as she threw down her blade.

"I will not kill again. One life lost is life lost enough, I will not add more to it," Mariana stated as she stood her ground in her words, "I will not fight you Michael!" Mariana casted a gaze towards Carter, who had fought with her as a child, teaching her things she'd never know to exist. "Because," Mariana looked back towards Michael, "Someone once told me, that even our greatest enemies do not deserve to be punished with a blade that will cast them to death. No one deserves to die, not even you." Carter smiled towards her.

"At least one of my lesson sunk into your head!" He shouted, "But did it have to be that one?" Mariana smiled as Michael lunged towards her. Mariana moved out of the way in a graceful slide under him. Mariana stared off at Michael and ripped the drive from her neck. "You want this? Well you can have it! In pieces!" She finished by stomping the drive to bits.

"Why you little-" Michael started as Marcus forcefully threw Sebastian and Zack to the ground in a huff. "What the-"

"You underestimate the Jacklen family. Which you, were never a part of," Mariana stated launching a swift kick to his stomach. "To my Father perhaps. To me, never." Marcus, within this time was pulling down the lever with Ethan to help Cora, Mason, and Carter get out. The pain of Marcus' wounds made the force to its end. "This is my family. These are the people I love. You had messed with the wrong person, the wrong family, the wrong string love." With those words everyone was being led out and Ethan rested in a crying heap against Marcus' chest.

"Hurry Mari!" Marcus shouted to her, "Let's get out of here!" But they kept running. Marcus never was allowed to stop for Carter had pushed behind. Cora-much like Marcus with Ethan-had carried Mason.

It had taken them the time to get the town where Mariana had lost it. Every crowded in Pan's house as Madeline and Bella stood outside the crowd. Marcus set down Ethan, but Ethan wouldn't step aside, he held tightly to Marcus' leg and cried into it. Mason placed a hand to Ethan's shoulder as if to show that things would be okay. Cora went to speak to Carter, and attempted to with Marcus, who was far to busy with searching for Mariana.

"Mari should've been right behind us," He stated, "Where is she?"

"I'll go back and look for her," Cora said stepping around them.

"No, I will," Carter said pulling his Mother back, "I will."

"You will what?" Mariana said walking over to them with a smile. Now showing opened scars and bruises along her body. Ethan ran over and hugged her leg tight as Carter followed, then Cora with Mason. Marcus stood a distance from her before a smile formed on both of their faces. Mariana stepped forward and stared at Marcus as he opened his arms for her.

"Hey Mari," Marcus said as Mariana gave off a smile. She ran over to him hugging him tight. Carter stared at the two with a smile as Ethan's eyes looked confused. Cora smiled, Mason shrugged.

"New it would happen," Mason stated, "It's Maricus!" Everyone laughed.

"Should we go?" Carter asked taking Mason's hand.

"Where? The house was destroyed," Cora reminded over else. Mariana looked to Ethan, then to Marcus. Smiling bright.

"Not yet for the eyes of a kid, but we know a place," Mariana said, and they headed off out of town. Before leaving Ethan turned and looked towards Madeline. She smiled and waved to him as he walked off with the rest of them.

"Until next time," Ethan thought.
