Dallin's Point of View

"So they're gonna change her?" Spencer asks me, once I finish telling him everything I found ou.

"Yes. That's what Gerard," I say his name with a tone of hatred and disgust, "said."

"That means we'll be way outnumbered. We won't stand a chance." Spencer says, his tone thick with fear.

Annie's Point of View

"What's wrong? Why did you guys have to leave? What is it that he had to tell you that I can't know? Are we in danger? This is my fault. I'm so sorry Gee. You don't have to keep me safe. I'll leave." I say, very self-conscious.

"No, it's not your fault. I screwed up. I didn't make sure Dallin wouldn't find out about my trespassing." Gerard tries to comfort me.

"So now he's gonna come after you guys because of me?"

"Yeah, kind of. But we'll protect you. I have a question for you though." Gerard says, and shudders, as if he's trying to clear his mind from some terrible memory.

"I have to be changed?" I ask, not surprised.

"You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. If you're not comfortable with the thought of being turned, then we can figure something else out." Mikey says.

"No, I want to do it. But I want you," I look at Gerard , "to do it."

"No problem. I wasn't planning on letting anyone else do it. Unless you wanted one of the other guys to do it." He says, wrapping his arms around me, pulling me into a hug.

He seems very desperate. Like he was going to be forced to say goodbye. Again. I don't want to leave him. Not now. I finally found where I belong. 

"Hey," I get his attention, "Nothing can take me away from you. Nothing. If what you said about us having history together is true, then there is proof that there is no way to keep us apart. I really like you. I like hanging out with all of you guys. Gee, you took me in and gave me a home. I owe you more than ever. I never felt like I belonged anywhere. That's why I left home. My family never wanted me. I never knew what it was like to be wanted or loved. You guys changed that for me. I have a family now. I'm not gonna let some psycho vampire take  that away from me." I say, determined to keep my friends safe.
