Annie's Point Of View

I jump and look up when I hear Gerard walk in.

"It's just me." He says softly and smiles.

"Who were you talking to?" I ask, immediately regretting it.

"Oh, just my brother, Mikey." he says and sits down, pulling me to his chest.

He looks down at me, making sure I am okay with this.

"It's fine Gee. I like this." I say, reassuring him.

"Gee?" He asks me and laughs softly.

"What's wrong? Do you not like it?" I ask, suddenly very self conscience.

"No. I like it. You can call me anything you want to, Angel." He says and smirks.

"Okay. I just don't want to cross the line if you know what I mean." I say shyly.

"There isn't a line. You can do anything you want. Except leave." He says.

"Nice to know. So umm, about the oth-" I start to say but am cut off by a tall guy with blonde hair and a very good jawline walks in, followed by two more guys.

"Hey Gerard, Frank," the tall one gestures to a short, black haired guy, "has some bad news." He says.

"Great. Thanks Mikes. Tell me about it later." Gee says to Mikey.

"Hi Annie! You probably don't remember me. I'm Frank! That's Mikey, and this is Ray." The short dude says.

"Hi Guys." I say quietly and lean further into Gerard.

"It's ok Annie. We won't hurt you. I'm pretty sure Gerard would kill us if we did." The other one, Ray, says.

Ray is kind of tall and his hair is beyond description. The three new guys have red eyes, just like Gerard.

Gee laughs and kisses the top of my head.

Shocked, I look up at him.

"Sorry. I won't do it if you don't want me to." He says quietly in my ear.

"No. It's fine. You just... surprised me, that's all. I don't mind it. You can do anything you want." I say with a small smile.

"Really?" Gee asks with a smirk.

"Well..." I say.

"I know what you mean. Don't worry. I know what the line is and I wouldn't dream of crossing it." He says so serenely.

For a moment I forgot I didn't know him. It's like I've known Gerard my whole life.

"Ok. Just makin' sure." I say and giggle.

"Aww. This is so cute." Mikey says, without sarcasm.

"Oh no. Please don't write another one of your stories." Frank says. shaking his head.

"Yes. Please don't." Gee agrees.

"What? You lost me. Please explain to me why you don't want Mikey to write a story." I say.

"Oh right. I forgot you wouldn't understand any of this. Mikey likes to write stories. He's gonna find a way to turn our relationship into another one of his stupid love stories because it's his way of dealing with the fact that he's never had a girlfriend." Gerard explains.

"Well then I agree with you, Gee. Please don't. I don't wanna be a part of your girlfriend replacement." I say, laughing.

"Fine." Mikey says.

"Well this is a first. Mikes never listens to any of us. Does my little brother have a crush?" Gerard taunts Mikey.

"No! Shut up Gerard." He yells at his older brother.

"I think you do." I chime in, knowing that he couldn't do anything to me, even if he wanted to.

I feel at home here. It just feels so... normal sitting here, laughing and joking with my newfound friends. It is like I've known them my entire life.

"Hey Gerard, I gotta tell you something. Like right now. It involves the security levels we have here." Frank says in a low tone, the kind that sends goosebumps down your spine.

"I'll be back." Gerard says to me before getting up and following Frank out the door.
