I walk down the road my sweater pulled tight around me, I look around the different houses and stop at one that for some reason catches my eye. I shake my head and continue down the road to the Lake. I walk down the trail that leads to my clearing and notice a body on the ground as j get closer I see that it's Matt. He's holding his side and groaning, blood drips out of his mouth.
"Get yourself into trouble again." I spit out with more venom than I meant to. He looks at me before crawling to his feet and stumbling away. I sigh and sit close to the lake, I pick up small pebbles and skip them across the still water. I notice small fish swimming around where the water has stilled again. A smile comes to my fave as the peace sets in, I start to close my eyes and drift off to the sound of nature.
When I open my eyes it's almost dark so I get up and head back to my home. I stop by that same house and this time I notice the pick up truck parked in the drive way. I sigh and lean against the truck deciding whether to knock or not. I watch as a couple stumbles down the road laughing most likely high or drunk. I giggle slightly and shake my head before going up to the door. I raise my hand to knock but lose my courage. I try to give myself a pep talk telling myself worst case is he won't answer. I raise my hand and bring it down on the door gently light taps sound on the door.
