Atusko pov
I was laying on a couch resting after a long day. I had taken my hair out of its normal bun. It was peaceful till I felt a presence. I half opened my eyes to see my immediate younger sister Chieko watching me. I sighed and closed my eyes again.
" Yes?"
" Have you seen Hiro?"
" Not since this morning. Why?"
" I can't seem to find him."
" Hmmm. He'll show up just give him time."

My name is Atusko. I am the eldest of my sisters. We are all vampires. I have become the father figure of my siblings. I'm 31. I have long dark brown hair and brown eyes. I am a pediatrician. My immediate younger sister is Chieko. She is 29. She has neck length blond hair and blue eyes. She has glasses. She is a lawyer. And is the mom of the group. After her comes Etsuko. She is 27. She has chin length blond hair and hazel eyes. She is a priestess. The fourth sister is Akiko and she is 26. She has short orange hair and green eyes. She is a model and fashion designer. After her come the triplets. They are all 24. First of them is Natsuko. She has long white hair and violet eyes. She is a voice actor. Second of the triplets is Rin. She has shoulder length black hair and dark purple eyes and glasses. She also is a voice actor. The last of the triplets is Sumiko. She has chin length orange hair and violet eyes. She is a game designer. The eighth is Junko. She is 21. She has neck length light ash brown hair and mauve colored eyes. She is a makeup artist and hair stylist. The 9th sister is Mari and she is 19 but will be 20 soon. She has shoulder length grey hair and grey eyes. She is in college. The 10th sister is Hisoka and she is 18. She has long slate colored hair and hazel eyes. She is in high school. The 11th sister is Emiko and she is 17. She has red hair and dark red eyes. She is also in high school. The 12th is Makato and she is 15. She has shoulder length light brown/pinkish hair and brown eyes. She is a idol. The youngest is Noriko and she is 10. She has short light salmon colored hair and brown eyes. She is a elementary student.

We have one more member. Hiro is a human boy that we took in 10 years ago when he was 7. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Just then Hiro came rushing in carrying a young girl. I immediately was at his side.
" Hiro. What happened?"
" Goemen oneesan. I was on my way back when I found her collapsed on the side of the road. She has bite marks all over her." I sighed and took her in my arms.
" It's fine that you helped. Chie. Get a bowl filled with warm water and get a washcloth. I'm gonna put her in a spare room."

I teleported to a spare bedroom and layed the girl down. She couldn't be more then 17. I carefully removed her shirt to reveal bite marks everywhere. There was no doubt she had been living among our kind. Unfortunately not all our kind was so gentle and caring toward humans. In fact most weren't. Chie came in just then with Hisoka and Noriko following behind. Chie set the bowl down near me. I nodded gratefully and began to clean the girl up.
" What happened to her?" Hisoka asked.
" I can only speculate but from the state she is in I'm willing to bet she has been living among our kind for a bit. Chie. Get a separate washcloth with cold water. Hisako. Get me a extra nightgown. We need to get her out of these clothes." Hiro came in and sat down on the other side of the girl. I smiled gently at him.
" Oneesan. Will she be okay?" I stopped what I was doing to give Hiro a reassuring pat.
" She'll be fine kiddo. You did well to bring her here. When she wakes up we'll find out her story. Everything will be okay." Hisako came in with a nightgown. With help I changed the girl into it after bandaging her wounds. Once Chieko came in I placed the wet washcloth on the girl's forhead. Just then my other sisters came in.
" What's a human doing here?" Mari asked. I raised my eyebrows and looked at Hiro. Mari immediately understood.
" Sorry Hiro."
"It's fine. It actually makes me glad to think you all don't even think about the fact that I'm human." Just then the girl moaned and opened her eyes. Hiro spoke to her.
" Hey. You okay?"
" I'm sore."
" That's understandable. I'm glad I could save you. I'm Hiro by the way."
" Ema."
" Nice to meet you Ema. Oh. These are my sisters. Well. I'm not technically related by blood to them." When the girl noticed our presence she made herself small. I gave her a gentle smile and sat down.
" Hey. It's alright Ema. We won't hurt you."
" But you're vampires. Right?" I frowned.
" Yes. We are. But we don't hurt humans. Not unless they cause us harm." Hiro spoke up.
" Oneesan is right. I've lived with them for ten years." The girl relaxed.
" Oh. I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. It's just......."
"You've been hurt by our kind." Chieko said. I smiled wryly.
" I'm Atsuko. I'm the eldest."
" I'm Chieko and I'm the second eldest. This is Etsuko, the fourth. Then comes Akiko. After her are the triplets, Natsuko, Rin, and Sumiko. Then is Junko. After her is Mari, Hisoka, Emiko, and Makato. The youngest is Noriko."
"It's nice to meet you all. Thank you for taking care of me but I don't want to inconvenience you." I stopped Ema from getting up.
" You aren't in any condition to go anywhere. I'm surprised you aren't in a worse condition. Don't worry. You can stay as long as you want."
" Thank you."
" It's nothing. Now get some rest. You look like you could use it."  Most of my sisters had left. Chieko came up and spoke.
"I'll get her some food." I nodded.
" Something easy might be best for now. Hiro. Go help her."
" Yes oneesan." After they left Hisako spoke up.
" I'll go get a fresh bowl." I nodded my head gratefully. After she left I spoke.
" Ema.  I know this may be difficult to talk about but how many vampires did you live with?"
" There was thirteen total. There was only one that refused to drink my blood at all. There were two that drank only every once in a while and they were always gentle when they did it." I smiled sadly. Ema spoke up.
" Why are you helping me?"
" I told you. We treat humans differently then some of our kind. We treat others with respect as long as they deserve it. Although there are some of my sisters who don't quite treat anyone with respect. But that isn't important. Besides most of us work in some aspect of the human world. We need to treat humans well if we ever expect them to accept us." Ema thought about what I said and then smiled.
" I'm glad that if I had to end up in another house filled with vampires it's this one." I laughed and brushed her hair aside.
" I'm glad that we could help you. Now get some rest. Just call if you need anything. Most of us will be more then happy to help. And call if any of my sisters bother you too much. Don't worry." I stood up and walked to the door.
" Um. Atsuko-san. Thank you." I turned back around.
"It's nothing. Now get some sleep."

I went downstairs and sat on the couch and closed my eyes. I heard a chuckle and looked to see Hisako smiling. I rolled my eyes and closed them again. Hisako came over and curled up against me. Something she had been doing since she was little.

Chieko and I had had to raise our siblings. Our mother was dead and our father was rarely home. And I mean rarely. I think the last time he visited was nearly nine years ago.

I pulled Hisako closer and fell asleep beside her.

After a bit I was awakened by someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and sat up.
" Good. You're finally awake." Cheiko said. I glared at my sister.
" You do know that I'm older then you?"
" Yes I do. Now get up." I rolled my eyes but sat up.
"I'm up. What's wrong?"
"Why would something be wrong?" I gave my immediate younger sister a look.
" Okay fine. I think I know who she was staying with." I rubbed the back of my neck.
"Yeah. I think I do also."
" So we're thinking the same thing." Akiko said teleporting in with Etsuko.
" If it is who we think it is then it's going to make this fun. I do enjoy messing with those brothers."
" Etsuko. Behave." Chieko scolded.
" Aw shut up four eyes." I sighed.
" If she was staying with them then we need to keep her away from them."
" And exactly how are we supposed to do that? One of them will certainly see us at work or school." I sighed.
" We protect the girl. She needs protection from them. There is a reason humans keep disappearing whenever they go to that mansion, while we've had one human in ten years and he is still alive because we refuse to see him as prey. Besides there is always at least one of us in the house so she'll never really be alone." Chieko smiled wryly.
" If Atsuko-oneesan has decided then we should obey." My two other sisters nodded in agreement. Just then Noriko came running down the stairs. She tackled me in a hug.
"Atsuko-nee. The human looks like she is having nightmares."

I sighed and teleported up. I looked to see the girl thrasing about. Damn it. She could hurt herself or aggravate her injuries. But holding her down was not an option. I calmly went over snd stroked her hair while humming a tune I often used to calm my sisters down. She settled down and slept peacefully. I sighed with relief. I felt her forehead to find she was still warm. I took the washcloth and re-wet it. I placed it once again on her forhead. I grabbed my phone and called in to work to tell them one of my sisters was sick and I wouldn't be there today. Chieko came in and sat down on the opposite side.
" Did you call in?"
" Just for today. I'll go back tomorrow. You?"
" Yeah. I'm gonna work from home. I told them that some of my sisters were sick." It was quiet for a minute before Chieko spoke up.
" Hey Atsuko-oneesan?"
" Hmmmm?"
"Are you thinking of adopting this girl also?"
" I don't know. We'll see. I definitely want to help her. No one deserves the hell she's been through."
" Are you sure no one deserves it?"
" Alright. Maybe a few people. But there aren't many." Just then my phone rang. I looked to see Masaomi calling me. Great. I should have suspected.
" Answer it. It will look more suspicious if you don't." I nodded and went out to the hallway.

" Hello Masa."
" It took you a while to answer."
" I'm sorry. I didn't have my phone on me and I was busy. What's up?"
" I heard you called in."
" Yeah. Some of my sisters aren't feeling well. Thought I'd help out at least today. I'll be back tomorrow." 
"Oh. Good."
" You okay?"
" Yeah. Fine. It's just been a rough day."
" Well I hope things get better." Just then I heard shouting. I groaned.
" I better go. Eldest duties call." I heard him chuckle.
" Okay. Bye. Good luck."
" Thanks. Good luck to you also."

I hung up and sighed. Just then Etsuko came down the hallway in her priestess clothes.
"You going to work?"
" Yeah. And I know. No giving anything that would indicate that the girl is here."
" Good. Chieko and I called in. We told them that some of you all are sick so try to stick the story."
" Will do. See ya later." I nodded my head.

For the rest of the day those of us who could took turns watching over the girl. Her fever broke that night and she was able to move slightly the next day.

I went back to work the next day. I was in my office when I yawned.
" Well someone looks tired." I looked up to see Masa standing there smiling.
" Hey. Yeah. Noriko decided to keep me awake all day and night. I barely got any sleep."
" Geez. She's a handful."
" Yes. But somehow she isn't the worst."
" So are they feeling better?"
" Yeah. I don't know how nor do I want to know why but the triplets all got sick at the exact same time. Thankfully they are feeling better."
" Yeah. I think you don't want to know how they managed that."
" I think they're just overworking themselves. You sound better."
" Feel better. Yesterday was just hectic." I smiled wryly.
" With who you have for siblings I can't imagine."
" Right back at you." I went back to work.

Masa like me was a vampire. He was the eldest of 13. He however had no idea I knew he was a vampire nor that I was a vampire myself. I kept my scent hidden when I was among humans. Masa was also a pediatrician.

Masa and I worked the rest of the day.

Afterwards I went home and collapsed on my bed. I was exhausted. Just then I heard noises.

I groaned and teleported to the top of the stairs.
" What is going on in here?!" I yelled out. My sisters who were there looked up to see me very angry. I looked down to see my sisters arguing with a group of males. Oh crap. Masa was one of them. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw me.
" Atsuko?!"
" Masa?!" We yelled out at the same time. Just then Chieko teleported next to me. We exchanged a nervous glance.
" Okay. We made a mistake. We had to have."
" I'm telling you Masa-nii. She's here. This is where I scent her." A young boy said.
" I don't know who you are looking for but I would appreciate it if you left my sisters alone." I said crossing my arms. Masa looked up at me.
"You're a vampire?" I sighed.
"Yes. I kept my scent hidden. Unlike some of our kind we don't find enjoyment in telling people just what we are."
" And you've known that I was one the entire time?" I smirked.
" Just a little." Chieko leaned against the railing.
" If you all would be so kind as to leave. Clearly whatever you are looking for isn't here." Just then Hiro came in and stayed beside me.
" What is a human doing here?" A boy with grey hair and grey eyes asked. Hisako spoke up from where she was laying on the couch with her eyes closed listening to music.
" He's our adopted brother. We've taken care of him for ten years now. Not that it is any of your business." I titled my head to the side and spoke.
" Why does it matter?"
" Because humans are food." Hiro stiffened at what the vampire had said as did my other sisters. Makato spoke up.
" Listen up you pompous, no good, idiotic, asses. Humans aren't prey. They deserve respect."
" Makato." I said with a warning tone. She huffed and plopped down.
" Assholes." I teleported down and hit my temperamental sister on the back of her head. I turned to the thirteen vampires.
" I'm sorry about her behavior. Anyway. Could you please leave? We're all tired and need our rest." Just as they were about to leave a movement caught my eye. Damn it. That girl. Unfortunately some of our guests noticed. I teleported in front of the girl while my sisters went on the defensive.
" I told you she was here." Our guests watched Ema hiding behind me. I knew what they were about to do. I put a shield up and we all got our powers ready. I grabbed Hiro and put him behind me also.
" Hiro. Take the girl. Go to you know where and lock yourselves in." He nodded and took off. When Masa and a blond haired and blue eyed vampire tried to come up Chieko and I got in the way.
" Don't do this." I stood my ground.
"She almost died because of whatever the hell you all did to her. So excuse us for not letting you near her." Chieko snapped.
" Why should we care?"
" Well I guess you wouldn't. But we do. We want to protect the girl." Rin said.
" Protect a human?! Are you serious?!" One of the boys sneered. Natsuko smirked and spoke up.
"I have an idea. They could be our new grooms. Might be fun."
" Eh?!" All the brothers shouted. Makato snickered.
" Good idea. I wouldn't mind having a taste of them." Chieko sighed and pushed her glasses up.
"Girls. This behavior is highly impolite toward someone you just met." Masa looked at me.
" Grooms?" I sighed and leaned against the wall.
" I said we don't drink human blood. And we don't. Unless we're desperate and even then we don't like to. Grooms refers to male vampires we've had who have become, for lack of a better word, sacrifices for my sisters and I."
"You drink vampire blood?"
" Not often. Only when our idiotic father insists on sending us some."
" You're serious?" One of the boys asked. I heard a snort and knew who it was.
" Ah. Poor poor little males. They think they're stronger then us."
" Makato."
" No. Tell them oneesan."
" Tell us what?" I sighed.
" Vampire blood makes you stronger. Especially male vampire blood. Also. My sisters and I have special powers. We're not your average vampire."
" Oneesan is right. Try to teleport out of here."
" What the?!" I spoke up.
" I put a shield up. Meaning only those who the shield allows can teleport in and out. It keeps things out and keeps thing in." Masa looked at me.
" That's your power?" Etsuko laughed.
" Oh honey. If you think that's her only power then you are sadly mistaken. She also can control all the elements and she has healing powers."
" The four eldest all have three specific powers each. Chie-onee has power over air and earth. She has the gift of persuasion and can control minds and bodies. Etsuko-onee can control fire and earth. She can control hearts and can turn her words into weapons. And Aki-onee can control fire, enchant things, and create anything with words." I smiled at my younger sister rambling.
" I don't think we can stay here." The blond haired vampire next to Masa said. Chieko smirked.
"Unfortunately you can Ukyo. You all entered our mansion without even knowing whose home you were breaking into. So you have to pay your dues. Though you all hardly know how to behave so it might be better to say you are servants rather then grooms right now. Until you learn how to behave." I leaned against the wall and let this one play out. The male named Ukyo moved toward Chieko. Masa reached a hand out and stopped him.
"Don't. If you all can't sense it by now then you are stupid. They're purebloods. Strong purebloods." I heard clapping.
" Give him a treat. He finally figured it out. Maybe I should spoil the surprise. We're not just purebloods sweetie. We're ancestral purebloods. Our family is one of the most dominant families around. So even regular purebloods such as yourselves aren't a match for us." This time Cheiko and I both glared at our blabbermouth sister. Makato held her hands up and sat down. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
" Chieko."
" Understood oneesan." I went to where I knew the two humans would be hiding while Chieko introduced everyone.

As I was walking I felt Masa following me. I pinned him to the wall.
" Why are you following me?"
"I'm concerned about the girl." I sighed.
" You're one of two she mentioned that didn't really drink her blood." He looked shocked but then nodded. I released him.
" Just don't scare her. Oh and Hiro is off limits to you and your brothers."
" Understood." I titled my head and then kept walking. I stopped at a wall.
" Hiro. You can come out." The wall opened and Hiro came out with Ema.
" Oneesan. What's going to happen?" I smiled and patted his head.
" We're working on that. Don't worry Ema. We won't give you back. But I do believe the brothers will be staying with us for a bit." Hiro looked at me.
" Are they going to be the new grooms?"
" I believe they are. Hiro. From now on I want you and Ema sharing a room. We can get you separate beds if you want." Hiro nodded his head.
" I understand oneesan." We walked back to the living room.

It was unusually quiet. I entered to see everyone in tact. I smirked. " And here I thought the quiet meant you had killed them already."
" That would be no fun oneesan. Besides. They're kinda cute." 
" Natsuko."
" I know. I know. No going over bored this time." The brothers gulped.
" This time?" Masa asked. Chieko sighed in exasperation and pushed her glasses up.
" Let's just say that no groom has ever survived." The brothers all looked horrified. Masa looked at me shocked.
" Don't give me that. I don't enjoy it. Some of my sisters however enjoy torturing people. So I suggest you all don't make them mad."
" And you haven't tried to stop them?" I scoffed.
" As if I could. I'm lucky I can control any of my sisters."
"Or you're too lazy to try." I sighed and ignored my immediate younger sister.
" Anyway. Well find you all some rooms. Chieko since you enjoy doing certain things why don't you lay down the rules for them while I take Masa around to see the rooms?"
" Fine." Masa and I left.
