Chapter 3

My plan worked, but maybe a little to much. I peeked down the hole and saw the gruesome sight of the girls fall. Well, I still succeeded. I grinned down at the unconscious girl.

Lucifer POV.

I slowly opened my eyes. The cold cement floor sent chills down my spine. I sat up, propping myself up on my hands. My right leg was numb for some reason. I felt a crusty substance on my face. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small flashlight. I picked off some of the crust and shined the light over it.

"Blood?!" I said shocked. I pointed the light up and saw a hole above me. I looked around the room, but there wasn't really much down here.

I tried to push myself up more, but stopped suddenly as pain shot up my right leg. I shined the light on my leg and revealed what had made that snapping sound when I landed. My leg was broken in half. Part of the lower bone was sticking out of my knee.

"Great I'm stuck here, but wait. My phone!" I said. I dug through my other pocket and found my phone. I first looked at the time. Ten thirty pm. I noticed I had twenty missed calls and forty missed text. A text just came in and I opened it.

"Lucy please text me back. Your mom is worried. Please text me. ~Kate"

I was going to reply but my phones light was dimmer. No don't die yet! The phone screen then turned black. No! Why now. Maybe if I yell, someone would hear me?

"HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!" I screamed as loud as I could. The floor above me creaked as someone walked on it. Thank god someone heard me. The sound of tearing wallpaper could be heard a few minutes later. A door opened and light came down the stairs on the other side of the wall.

"Hello, who's there?" I say as I see another flashlight. I shined my light on my savior. It was a girl that looked to be around my age. She had silver hair and wore a red and black cloak with black jeans. She stopped right beside me.

"I'm Alice. I heard your yelling while I was walking by. And you are?" She asked.

"Oh....I'm Lucifer Stellar." I replied. I looked up at her and noticed that her eyes were......red? That's a very rare eye color.

"So you need help getting out of here right?" She asked. I nodded. "Ok Put your flashlight away, you may drop it once the pain hits you."

I tucked my flashlight back into my pocket. She slid her left arm under my bag and her right under my knees, causing pain to shoot up my leg. Tears ran down my cheeks and I clenched my teeth together trying to prevent a scream. I tightly closed my eyes as the pain increased.

"It hurts doesn't it? I'd never know because I never brake anything." Alice said. I looked at her as she kept a straight face, carrying me up the basement steps. I can't take this pain anymore! Someone just kill me to get it over with! My vision began to go black as I was pulled in an unconscious state once again.

Kate POV.

Come on Lucy. Text me back. It eleven at night. I lay on my bed as I wait for my phone to ring. Why Lucy, why did you have to go into that stupid house? If you would have left things be, you wouldn't have disappeared. My phone rings, making me jump. I answered it.

"Kate, have you heard from Lucy yet?" Kim asked.

No, but I'm not giving up on her. She is alive, I can feel it." I replied.

"Ok tomorrow we will go look for her. Get some rest. Bye." she hung up. I sighed and looked out the window. The night filled with dark clouds.

"Lucy..." I went to sleep and had a dreamless night.

Lucifer POV.

I opened my eyes slowly. Thumping pain ran up my leg. I was laying on the queen sized bed in the old house. Wait...why am I still here. I looked over at the window, darkness blankets the outside world. There was a soft glow coming from a candle on the floor to my left. Alice was sitting there beside the candle. She noticed that I woke up and stood holding the candle.

"I'm glad you're awake again!" she cheered.

"Yea....um...Alice, why am I still in this house?" I asked her.

"I couldn't carry you out." she sighed.

"But you couldn't call an ambulance?" I asked.

"Well everyone is asleep at this hour." She replied. I just sighed. "I fixed you up though. I noticed your first aid kit in your bag. So I wrapped your head wound and pushed your bone back into place. Then I wrapped your leg."

"Thanks. So where do you live? I've never seen you around town and I know everyone." I asked her.

"I live here and only go out at night." She replied.

"You live here? Does anyone else live here?" I asked. She shook her head.

"No just me....no one can ever live with me." she said.

"Why can't they?" I asked. Maybe I shouldn't have asked though.

"They always die." She said with a crazed look in her eye. She leaned closer to me. "Do you want to know why?" I shook my head.

"No...you don't have to tell me." I said quickly. She moved back, smiling a soft smile.

"They always die........just after one small bite." She said, ignoring my words.

"Bite? What do you mean?" She grinned at me, showing off fangs. Oh Crap! A monster does live in this house! "What are you?"

"It's obvious isn't it. I am Alice Black, the vampire of this town." She grinned at me. I sat there, paralyzed from fear.

"W-why h-haven't you k-killed me yet?" I chocked out. She chuckled.

"My goal wasn't to kill you." she chuckled some more. Oh god...don't tell me, she wants to turn me!

"I had realized that when I bite someone, a huge amount of venom fills their blood, killing them instantly. I thought of a way to properly keep someone alive. This right here." She said as she held up a vile with some kind of clear liquid in it. She looked at the vile then back at me, a grin spread across her face.

"Now just sit still and this will be over quickly." She said. She raised her hand to my arm. Her nails had grew into sharp claws.

My eyes grew wide and I struggled to get of the bed. I fell face first, then using my hands I pulled myself completely off the bed. I felt fresh blood run down my face. Through the pain, I tired to get to the door. But with a broken leg, I couldn't really get far. She was in front of me once again.

"Why did you get out of bed?" She grinned down at me.

"Because i don't want to be a vampire!" I growled.

"Then you should have stayed away from my house!" she hissed. She placed her foot on my left hand and began to push. I resisted the urge to scream, but its kind of hard when your hand is being broken. I could hear the snapping of my bones. Tears formed in my eyes and ran down my cheeks, mixing with the blood from my now open wound.

"Just stay still!" she growled. I shook with fear as she still stood on my hand and knelt down, cracking more bones as more pressure was applied. She used a single claw and cut a huge gash in my arm. Blood seeped out of the fresh wound. She took the towel from my bag and soaked up the blood from my arm. She popped the lid off the vile and quickly poured it into the gash.

"There, that should do it." she cooed and stood, releasing my broken hand. I clenched my teeth together. My arm felt like it was on fire. The venom burned as it traveled through my blood. I rolled onto my back, breathing heavily as the burning traveled. With my right hand a tightly grabbed the bed leg. I wanted to curl up and die, but moving just made the pain worse.

"It seems to be working. My other victims were dead by now." She grinned. I just closed my eyes, not wanting I look at her. But I opened them when I heard her walk away.

Alice disappeared as she walked to the other side of the bed. She came back over to me, my bag was on her back. She pulled my hand off the bed leg, then picked me up bridal style. Pain increased as she picked me up. She giggled as she saw the pain I felt.

She carried me back to the basement. A small light lit the basement. She carried me over to a black coffin. Inside was a soft white padding. She laid me down and rubbed my cheek.

"Don't worry. The pain will only last until dusk tomorrow, since it also has to heal you. So just rest up...tomorrow will come quicker than you think."She said, then she leaned down and kissed my forehead. I flinched as she rubbed my cheek once more.

"I'll be back in a bit, I must fix up some things. Sleep well." She giggled then left me there. I was somehow sleepy, even with this pain I was dozing off. I finally just let sleep take me. Its better than staying up and feeling the pain.
