Yuuki POV

I keep the gun aimed at the boy. 

"What demon defiled you to do such deeds?" I ask him in a menacing voice. Hopefully he thinks of me as a vampire hunter than a petty girl. He turn to me with his hand in front of him.

"How I do wish I was defiled. The demon is possessing me, I am the demon itself." I gasp.

"A vampire? But...your so young"

"Our bodies age much slower than humans. I don't know my exact age, but I am sure it is close to the hundreds. The body you see now is quite close to the age eighteen"

"Only a year from my age"

"Who goes there!" a voice yells to us. The vampire charges at me pushing me to the wall and holding me by the neck. I try to pry from his grip.

"Say nothing Lady Lilac. One word and my life will be at end" he tells me in a whisper.

"F-fine. Just don't hurt me and I won't hurt you" I whisper back to him. He pulls his cloak over us. I hear footsteps rush to where we were.

"What is it my imagination?" I hear Nori ask herself. More footsteps rush to her.

"Nori is everything alright?"

"We heard your yell." It was Talken and Tecchi.

"I thought I heard voices here, though I found no one." I wanted to yell out and call them to us. Expose where we were hiding and have this intruder killed though, something stopped me. The smell of spice, it was soothing. This boy was meaning no harm, only calming his thirst.

"Never mind it then, let's get back to our posts" Talken suggests. The footsteps retreat as he loosens his grip. When he was sure they were gone he pulls the cloak off of us.

"A close shave for my taste" he says in relief.

"I see.." I fidget in place. The spice smell was still around.

"Lilacs" the vampire mumbles.

"What was that?"

"Lilacs, when I first arrived here it was I mind. Then I find the flower, to be you. You are the smell I have been searching for"

"What do you mean? Why does lilacs have with me?"

"I see it now, you're the flower that let's it's perfume run free. You do not fear me..do you?"

"You had saved me from being caught by the guards, I should show some gratitude"

"Shall I carry you to your room? It is quite late for a fair lady as such"

"Oh you don't need to do such a thing"

"Nonsense." The vampire picks me up bridal style. "You may announce me as Count Cavalry. For you?"

"Oh just call me Lady Yuuki, it is my maiden name"

"Lady Yuuki" Cavalry repeats. " A finer name than Lady Lilac." My cheeks burn up from a blush. "Where to?" I direct him to the balcony where my room was. "Hold tight." I wrap my arms around his neck for support as he leaps upward and lands on the railing without a sound. Cavalry carefully places me onto my feet. "I am glad to have met you Lady Yuuki"

"I am glad to have met you as well Cavalry"

"The night is fading, I must be on my way before the sun rises"

"Will we meet again?"

"I am unsure. My kind are quite harsh to people like us"

"We can keep it a secret. We don't have to tell anyone"

"The night shall keep our secrets. I shall see you at night rise"

"Oh, and one more thing..."

"Yes?"

"Don't bite anyone inside the house. They'll get super suspicious if they find the members inside to be bitten"

"Understood, I shall keep my promise as long as this gem is dark"

"Thank you." Cavalry bows before fall backwards. I gasp and rush to the railing. He had disappeared, nothing more than a bat flying off to the night. "Count Cavalry. A strong name for a vampire. Who would've known that the spice I smelled, would be from a vampire himself." I sigh. This night could've gone for the worse if Cavalry had not stepped in. I carefully change clothes and slip into bed.

Cavalry's POV

I bow to the Lady Lilac and fall backwards off the railing. I transform into a bat and fly off. A beauty with the scent of lilacs. But...

"Vampires and Humans can not co-exist!" a voice yells in my mind. "Do you not know the dangers? You could be killed by the humans if they find you. And maybe vice versa. She will be killed for falling in love with a demon! That is why we forbid all acts between the two of us"

"Forbidden love indeed" I tell myself. "Sometimes we have to break the rules." I reach the town's edge and turn to human form.

"So you finally got back." I turn around to see Kirito returning to human form. "You smell of lilacs. Did you found the source?"

"Yeah. Some lilacs patches in the mansion. Guess I was smelling that"

"Speaking of the mansion" Klein begins. "Did you find any rich blood?"

"No, they have holy water washed crosses so none can enter nor pass. Alongside it, they have three holy guards" I explain to them.

"So no rich blood for us it seems" Jun says with a sigh.

"A watchful eye is best for now. Find the break point, maybe we can trespass then"

"Best case of actions we can do. Cavalry, since you did suggest it you can take watch" says Kirito.

"Take watch? Watch what?" Klein asks.

"Ah Klein, you have much to learn" Jun says placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Home is our return. Rest for the day, enjoy the night of tomorrow" Cavalry suggests.

"Okay I understood that. Sure let's go home, we have had our fill of blood and the day is about to start" Klein explains to the others.

"Congrats on high to you Klein" I compliment. He grins from ear to ear.

"That actually not half a bad an idea" Kirito pipes in.

"Yeah, *yawn* I'm actually starting feel a bit sleepy too" Jun adds in. We all nod and walk back to our home of the dark.

"How was the tonight's feasting?" Siune asks as we enter the doors of our home. A large mansion hidden in the shadows of the forest.

"It was quite fine. We were able to enjoy some blood easily and not be caught for another day" Kirito explains to her.

"As requested, some chicken's blood" Jun says handing her a small bottle of blood. Siune grimaces. She takes the bottle and downs it in one shot.

"Gah, I still can not get over this dumb fear of blood" Siune says in disgust. "The thought of human blood is just distasteful for me"

"At least you got us to give you the blood you need. Otherwise you would have to go out and bite people yourself" Jun explains.

"Guess you got me there. I've made your coffins. So you better get to sleep soon. Got that?"

"Yes of course..mother" I say teasing her. Siune blushes brightly.

"Bed. Now!" She yells in her embarrassment. I apologize for teasing her as the others head to their coffins for sleep.

"Siune if I told you I had feelings for a lady that smelled of lilacs, would you shun me?"

"History says that vampires and humans can't intermingle. I know we should be following it but, who says we can't bend the rules a little?"

"I guess so"

"Now get to bed. We still have a day to rest"

"Yes I know. Good day Siune"

"Good day Cavalry."
