I woke up the next morning, my foot feeling like a brick. Then, all the events of the previous day came flooding back and i remembered Cindy broke my foot.

   Again, I hate being human. The bones are so fragile. Instead of what i usually wore, I got out a simple dress with a cute designs.

   I hobbled out to the living room and mom was waiting for me. "yowza," Jerry said "what happen to miss sourface?" "Not in the mood Jerry" i said between my teeth and he just backed off "where's my backpack?" I said looking around slightly. "here" Jerry said flinging the bag towards me, I barely caught it and put it on my back.

   "let's get going, Jerry, want a ride to school while I have to drive victoria? "

"sure mom" Jerry said getting up. The drive to school was silent, but jerry tried to lighten the mood. It wasn't working

   I was relieved when we pulled up to the school I hurried out of the car before Jerry could. I saw Linzy come up to me "I am so sorry!" She cried when she reached me "no, it wasn't your fault. you don't need to apologize" i said

   Suddenly, a pair of hands were over my eyes. "cody" i laughed before being bear hugged. "too tight" i huffed before being let go.

   "heard what happened yesterday with cindy." The entire day crawled by. Tomorow was saturday, completely glad that there was no school

   I woke up Saturday morning with a killer head ache. I walked out to the living room and sat myself on the couch i propped my foot up on the coffee table and turned on the News, "so bored" i said to myself and started to flip through the channels until I landed on  "The vampire network" my favorite movie was on so I decided to stay on this channel.

   "Mornin' vic" Jerry said walking into the living room "Move" "No, I was here first, while your up, can you get me my computer?" I asked. He sighed and grabbed my laptop "thankyou" i said with a bittersweet smile.

   I turned on the laptop and pulled up word 2013 to start my report "Are you ok? you look kinda' pale" "yea, I'm fine" i lied, i was sweating like crazy. even though it's not summer anymore. "alright" He said before his eyes glazing over, "what did you see?" I asked softly after his eyes were back to normal.  "you, you... didn't make the change." He said in a hushed voice "oh" i whispered sadly "but, you never know, the future could change" He said hopefully that didn't lift my spirits, it's always the late ones who don't make it.

   "Agh!" i cried my head hurt like heck. i quickly set aside my computer and held my head in my hands. Jerry didn't notice luckily and had time to recover before he did. "I'm just going to go do my homework in my room" i said getting up with my laptop in hand
