Months, it had been months since Luhan had seen Sehun, and he was sure he would never see him again. It is what he asked for anyway. Luhan didn't mean it, he just wanted Sehun to take him with him. The money from Sehun completely stopped coming, and at first Luhan was thankful. He was mad at Sehun and wanted nothing from him, but as the months went on he began thinking something might have happened to Sehun. Maybe whatever was hunting him got him, but Luhan didn't want to believe that.

He tried everything to get ahold of Sehun, even doing reckless things in hope of Sehun coming to save him, but he didn't. It wasn't until a little over a year passed when Luhan finally gave up on Sehun. He had been heartbroken for too long, and his roommate tried desperately to keep him on his feet. If he wasn't for Minseok, Luhan truly believes he'd be dead because he didn't want to be alive without Sehun.

He tried going on about his life, trying to forget about his past, but how could he? Sehun was all he ever knew, and as much as he tried go hide it, he couldn't let go of Sehun, or maybe it was just the thought of him he was holding onto.

When his twentieth birthday neared he considered the possibility of Sehun coming back to keep his promise. He told Luhan that if he went to college then once he was twenty he would change him. Luhan kept up his end of the deal, and at the party his friends threw for him, he waited for Sehun. He didn't care about the party, even though he did try to enjoy it, he couldn't. He couldn't get Sehun off his mind, and thought he might be waiting for it to end to come. Even then, once the party was over and Luhan was home, Sehun wasn't there.

His entire year seemed gloomy after that birthday. He felt like he had been tricked and lied to by the person he loved and trusted most. For that, he began to resent Sehun, even convinced himself he hated Sehun, but deep down, he knew he would never love anyone like he loved Sehun.

During his third year of college Luhan met someone. Someone who took his mind off Sehun, and actually made him smile. At first Luhan hated the thought of being with anyone other than Sehun, but he soon believed Sehun was never going to come back.

It was different, being with someone else that is. He wasn't sure what to do always, and didn't like it at first. Luhan tried to find any reason to fight, it was almost like he didn't want the relationship it work, but she could see that. She never backed down to him and never let him just leave. She could see he was hurt, and knew he wanted to make any excuse for it not to work between them. It was hard, for both of them, but if Luhan said he didn't want to be with her, he'd be lying.

It took him a year to admit his feelings to himself, and when he did, he did fully. He didn't want to hold back anymore because of someone who wasn't coming back. So he gave in to her, to loving her, and for once, he felt happy. He was able to forget, or at least pretend he forgot, and was able to live in the now, for now at least.
