Virgil POV

I woke up and looked around me trying to remember what had happened. Had I passed out? "Took you long enough." said a voice that I recognized. I turned my head to the direction I heard it and meet eyes with a man in black and red. 

He walked up to me examining my face and arms. "How do you feel"? He asked at he ran his hand across my face. "H-Hungry.." I said and a smirk came on his face. He got up and motioned me to follow him. 

We were in a abandon hospital with barley any light. I tried looking out the window to see if the sun was out, but it was boarded up with large wood planks, with rusted nails that kept them intact. "Do you remember what happened before you woke up?" He asked me turning his head a little bit, as he still walked down the narrow hallway.

I looked down, trying to remember what happened to me before I passed out.

A few seconds went by before I looked up, realization hitting me. I stopped in my tracks and stared at the man in front of me.

I'm a vampire. A monster. A dead corpse.
But I asked for this.

"Ah. So you do." He said turning around to look at me. "You Killed me. You snapped my neck..?" Everything happened so fast. I barley felt any pain at all. I looked down at the clothing I was wearing. It was something I didn't recognize. It was neat, and clean. No stains, no holes. It almost looked brand new. 

"Where are my other clothes..?" I asked covering myself with the big black leather jacket that I was wearing, trying to absorb its warmth that it would usually give off. I felt no warmth that it came with.

"I threw them away." he said calmly and turned around and started walking again. "T-Threw them away?! I loved that jacket!" I said and started walking faster just to keep up with his fast pace.

"I kept the jacket. Don't worry." He said. A sense of relief went through me when I realized that I woke up wearing these clothes. "Don't worry. I didn't see anything."  He said like it was obvious I was thinking it. I tried to respond back, but couldnt, and hid myself in the jacket more. 

A small smile came on his lips, but quickly went away as he looked around the hallway trying to figure out where to turn to next.

"Do you even know where you're going?" I asked, kinda surprised that this hospital didn't end with the many turns we took. He ignored my question and just kept walking in the same fast pace that he did. I was surprised he didn't run out of breath.

Wait. 

He's not breathing. I'm not breathing. We're dead.

I put my my two fingers on my neck, looking for a pulse, yet felt nothing.

 ~Time skip~ 

He finally stopped walking and I made it up to him a few seconds after. "Here." He said and looked down at the darkness below. "We need to climb." He said and looked at the two ropes hanging from the ceiling above.

I stared in disbelief, "I can't climb that! I'll fall!" I said as he grabbed both of the ropes handing me one. I slowly grabbed it and gave him a worried look. 

He sighed and grabbed both of my hands placing them on the ropes. "I promise you wont fall." He said as he gave me a caring smile. I gave a weak one in return and stared at the endless pit that lead to..

God knows where..

He jumped on the rope, easily and gestured for me to go next. "If I fall you better catch me." I stated as I jumped on the rope with my eyes closed waiting for my grip to break and for me to fall down to the darkness below, but when I reopened my eyes I saw that I was still holding myself up by the rope. I gave a sigh and started to pull myself up. Surprisingly I didn't weigh anything. I felt like a feather. I smiled to myself as I started to pull myself more and reach the top of the building.

I looked down and I saw the man coming up as well and jump off the rope and landing on the next floor that came. He looked at me and I gave him a nod before jumping off and landing on the floor next to him.

"You still hungry?" He asked as we walking away from the ropes and towards the exit that lead to the outside. I looked down at my stomach and nodded. "What do we eat?" I asked looking up at him. "What do you think." He said as he opened the door to the outside world. It was pitch black out. I looked around for any light.

"Blood." I whispered and a shivered. "Yep." He said and we walked.

I started thinking about ways of drinking blood, but not human blood. I didn't want to accidentally hurt somebody.

Or worse.

"Hey, um. Is there a different way to drink blood, and not hurt people? Like can we drink animal blood?" I asked hesitantly wanting the answer to be yes. 

"No, well yes, but drinking animal blood doesn't satisfy the vampire body like human blood does. You can last.. maybe a few years drinking blood from a animal, but soon the hunger will get to you. And you wont be able to control it. You will be ripping people to shreds in no time." He stated calmly. "I can change that." I said. "I will change it. I don't want to hurt anyone. I'll control my hunger. I wont kill anyone." I finished and looked up at him. 

He sighed and looked down at me. "You are a vampire. Vampires kill for a living. You aren't a human anymore. Don't try to act like one." He said. "You will eventually kill someone. Yes it will suck the first time, but you can't change it. You wanted this life. Live with it." And with that we were back to silence.

After a few minuets we arrived at some beat up town. I looked around and realized we were in the Dark Side territory. My eyes went wide as I heard a gunshot, and loud punching and grunting coming from all directions. Dogs barking at people. This was our ticket to hell.

"W-What are we doing..here"? I asked him. "Looking for a target." He said and looked at the gang off people a few feet away from us. As we walked closer, I looked at them and made a disgusted look. They were filled with trash and looked like it too. 

The man in red and black walked closer to them and hid a smile. "Excuse us." He said calmly waiting for them to stop us. Deep down I hoped they did.

"Woah! looky here folks." One of the men said and looked at both of us up and down. "We have visitors." Another said and a grin formed on his face. 

"We don't want any trouble." The vampire said. "Neither do we-" One man said and walked closer. "we just want your boyfriend over here." He finished and looked at me with a smirk, and ran his hand across my face. "Touch me again and I'll break your hand and feed it to you." I said roughly pushed his hand away. "We've got a feisty one guys." The man said and everyone whistles. 

The man shared a glace over at the vampire. "Be my guest." He said and moved away. "What the-?" I scoffed and looked over at him. "What the hell do you think your doing?!" I whispered yelled. "Giving you a target." He said in a low voice so only I heard him. After realizing what he meant I look over at the crowd of men. Looking at their eyes filled with lust. Ugh. I felt sick.

"Try not to kill them." He said before leaning on the wall watching the entire scene happen. One of them grabbed my waist bringing me closer to him and I pushed off with all my mite and watch him fly across the air and hit the back of a brick wall. This sudden strength surprised me at I watched my hands carefully examining each of them. "Heads up." The vampire said and I looked up quickly watching a man come for a punch. He brought his fist towards my face, but before he could hit me I grabbed his hand mid air and squeezed it, feeling his bones crack in my hand.  

His scream made the rest of the men run away and go anywhere else, leaving me, the man, and vampire alone. I twisted his arm hearing the bone snap and threw him on the ground. "Not bad." The vampire said and walked up to me. I looked at him and smiled. "Thanks." I said and looked at the half unconscious man.

 "You know what to do." The vampire said and motioned me to the man laying down on the floor. I was nervous. I didn't want to kill him. I knelt down and grabbed the mans face and moving it to the side to have a good view of his neck. I opened my mouth and felt my fangs form and I can tell they were sharp. I slowly brought my mouth down and connected my fangs with his neck. I bit down hard and felt the man move around beneath me, but I continued. I felt his blood come in my mouth and.. it was amazing. 

I can felt my entire body suddenly feel numb and I continued going feeling the warm, thick, liquid fill my mouth. "That's enough." the vampire said and tried pulling me away, but I pushed him off and continued going biting down hard. "I said that's enough!" He said again but in a louder tone pulling me off the man who was pail and unconscious. I hissed at him and tried to get more, but the vampire stopped me and shook my body a bit. 

I finally got out of my trance and looked around. I realized what I had done and put my hand over my mouth. "Shit.. I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." I said. "It's okay. You're new at this. You're getting the hang of it though. Just a few more tries." He said and smiled a bit. I sighed and looked at the man on the ground. I almost killed him. I almost drained him dry.. I closed my eyes trying to calm myself. 

"You did good. You almost killed him, but you didn't. And that's important." He said. "You're not hungry anymore right?" He asked. I only shook my head. "Good." He said and we started walking away from this hell hole.

"I'm Virgil by the way." I said looking at the ground. "Well It's nice to meet you Virgil." The man said and continued walking. "You're not gonna tell me your name?" I asked. He sighed and looked at me. "Call me Princey." He said.

"Call you? As in..That's not your name?" I asked. "It's what you'll get for now." He finished and started walking towards the hospital with me slowly walking behind.
