donghyuck was impatiently waiting for mark, jeno, jaemin and jisung to come back from the vampire courts in the living room of nct's house.

he was sprawled out on the couch, his body lying on renjun's figure, as chenle was curled on an armchair nearby, and the three of them had been binge-watching cartoons since their boyfriends had left, early in the morning.

as they were halfway through an episode of tom and jerry, the front door of the house opened, making the three now vampires turn their heads in excitement.

"ji!" "nono! nana!" "mark!" the three boys yelled, jumping off the couches to throw themselves in their boyfriends' arms.

"hey guys." the guys greeted them back.

"so? how did it go?" renjun asked, clinging onto jeno's arm.

"good. we were authorised to stay in the clan." jaemin pinched the boy's cheek before pulling him towards their room with jeno.

"yep, and that's all thanks to you." jisung picked chenle up in his arms and followed the three other boys while pampering his boyfriend in kisses making him giggle.

"everything alright, sunshine?" mark asked donghyuck who had his face hidden in the crook of mark's neck.

donghyuck hummed in response.

"do you want to do something special today?" mark kissed the top of his boyfriend's head.

"i told my parents that i had a surprise for them." donghyuck said, pulling his head out of mark's neck to look at his boyfriend in the eyes.

"you do?" mark furrowed his brows.

"yeah. today, i'll tell them i am a vampire!" donghyuck jumped up and down. "and that i have a vampire boyfriend!" he added, passing his arms around mark's neck to kiss his boyfriend's lips.

mark caught the message, so he grabbed the boy's waist and pulled him up so that their lips could meet, their fangs colliding and sometimes touching the other's lips, sending an electric feeling through the other's body.

"wait- "mark said, realising what donghyuck had told. "you want me to meet your parents? today?"

donghyuck nodded. "yes, they told me they were excited about meeting you!"

"right now?!" mark exclaimed a bit too loud, making donghyuck flinch.

"y-you... you d-don't want to? y-you don't want to meet my parents?" donghyuck sniffed, tears threatening to fall from his red eyes.

mark panicked seeing the younger in such a state. he didn't intend to make the younger cry. he did want to meet his parents. heck! he wanted to spent the rest of his life with his sunshine! he had just been surprised by what his boyfriend had told him.

"no, sunshine, that's not it! don't cry... i do want to meet your parents." mark cupped his boyfriend's cheeks and kissed his tears away. "i was just surprised by your sudden statement." mark explained before kissing his on the lips fully. "but i'm happy that we'll meet your parents. we'll go and get dressed right now, okay? you'll help me find something i'll look handsome in, right?"

"you look handsome in anything..." donghyuck mumbled, making mark kiss him again.

"god, i love you so freaking much..."

the two boys were standing in front of donghyuck's door, both too nervous to knock. they had been there for 10minutes approximatively, but none of them had dared moving yet.

"go on! it's your house." mark told his boyfriend.

"yeah, but i can't control my strength yet, what if i break the door?" donghyuck asked.

mark rolled his eyes. "ridiculous. just knock. nothing will happen."

donghyuck raised his fist, mark looking at him with a smile. "i can't." donghyuck pouted before letting his hand fall down.

"we need to..." mark sighed. "you know what? let's do it together. on the count of three." mark said, raising his hand.

donghyuck nodded and followed his boyfriend's movements.

"one... two... two and a half..."

"mark!"

"yeah, yeah." mark coughed. "one... two..."

the door opened before mark could say 'three'.

"so, i'm not mad. there were voices out there. hello boys!" donghyuck's mother greeted the two boys.

"hello ma." donghyuck lowered his head shyly.

"aw... my hyuckie baby!" she giggled pinching his cheeks. "look at how cute you are. but how come you don't have your glasses?" she said pulling his face closer to hers. "did you manage to put lenses on your own? or did this very handsome man put them for you?"

as soon as she said that, donghyuck's eyes turned red, his new vampire instincts kicking in, making his mother – who was looking at his beautiful eyes – back away quickly.

"oh god! what is that!" she exclaimed as mark passed an arm around donghyuck's waist to keep him in place.

"m-ma..." donghyuck lowered his head again. "this his mark... he is the boy i was talking to you about..."

"you crush?" donghyuck mother raised a brow, eying mark's arm around donghyuck's waist.

"yeah... well, he's my boyfriend now." donghyuck glanced at her to see her reaction.

"that's good! i'm so happy for you donghyuck! and welcome to the family mark! you two are such a cu- wait!" she stopped talking for a while. "hadn't you mentioned your crush was a vampire?"

donghyuck and mark exchanged a worried look.

"hum... i am a vampire of the nct clan madam." mark said politely. "we own all the city of seoul and its suburbs."

unexpectedly, donghyuck's mother squealed. "so, you have a vampire boyfriend!"

"yeah... but that's not all..." donghyuck took a deep breath.

"that's not all?"

"actually, there's a rule forbidding humans and vampires to fall in love, so... i am a vampire now."donghyuck said quickly.

"oh..."

donghyuck, mark and donghyuck's mother turned towards donghyuck's father who had just entered the room.

"so... donghyuck is a vampire now?" he asked. "well... is it okay for him?"

donghyuck nodded slowly, a bit scared of what would happen next.

"then it's alright. we can't go in the way of love." donghyuck's father walked toward mark. "i guess you're his boyfriend. mark? am i right?"

"yes, mark." he replied, shaking the hand of the man.

"nice to meet you. take care of our son. he's a precious treasure."

mark looked at his boyfriend with heart eyes. "he surely is..."

donghyuck flushed and hid into the crook of mark's neck.

"are you staying over for lunch? we'll order fresh blood for you." mark's mother asked mark with a smile.

"i guess."

"great, then you can go to his room. we'll call you when the food is ready. have fun!"

and with that, mark carried a flustered donghyuck to his room under the eyes of his parents.

"you know..." donghyuck's father passed an arm around his wife's waist. "maybe having him transformed isn't a bad thing."

"they really love each other." mark's mother told; eyes glued on donghyuck's bedroom door.

"i was thinking more along the lines of donghyuck's eyesight."

donghyuck's mother raised a brow.

"he doesn't need glasses anymore." the father explained. "and that's going to be very refreshing for our wallets." he added making his wife laugh.
