Levi pulls a knife out of his sleeve and stabs Eren right in the heart who tries to stop him. Unfazed Levi pulls out his knife and shoves him to the ground before he shoots him two times to make sure.

"I win again, Petra" is all he says before he approaches the Valvrave.

As Levi tries to get into the Valvrave, he notices something behind him, only having a moment to express shock before Eren, now with glowing crosses on his face bites his neck as his screams echo across the beach.

Time Skip

Annie, Bertolt and Mina arrive at the beach and find his unconscious and injured body, desperately trying to wake him up.

"Eren!" cries Mina.

"Eren! Please wake up." Says a nervous Bertolt

"Is he..." asks Mina sadly

"No... I can feel his pulse..." responds Bertolt.

"But he's covered in blood!" retorts a hysterical Mina.

"There are no wounds on his body. It might be someone else's blood" reasons Bertolt.

Next to the trio Levi begins to stir.

"Let's take him to the school first." Says Bertolt. "We should let the nurse check-"

"BANG!" He is cut off by the sound of a gun firing.

Annie, Bertolt and Mina quickly turn towards the source of the sound, seeing the four other transfer students.

Furlan points his gun at the three students and gives his ultimatum;

"Get away from the Valvrave."

"V-Vhat?" replies a confused and sweaty Bertolt.

Isabel comes forward to explain, "It's that sweet robot's name."

She points her gun at the students and continues, "Didn't you Paradis people christen it?"

"You aren't Attack Academy students!" says a defensive Annie.

"We're from Marley!" responds Isabel, preparing to shoot.

"BANG" she is interrupted by a bullet knocking her gun out of her hand.

The Marleyian students quickly turn towards the source of the gunshot, readying their guns to shoot back.

However when they see the shooter they are surprised and Furlan cannot help but gasp.

"Levi?" asks Furlan as he sees Levi pointing a gun at them and getting up.

"There's a ventilator over there" Levi tells the Attack Academy students, not taking his eyes off their enemies.

Bertolt inhales in shock.

Annie quickly gives a confused look to their surprise protector but wastes no time in turning around and grabbing Mina's arm, going where he told them to.

Eld points his gun at the escaping girls.

"Let them." instructs Furlan, still training his gun on Levi as Eld joins him.

"Hurry!" instructs Levi to a still confused Bertolt.

Bertolt starts to run towards the girls and Levi starts to join him but stops when he sees Eren's unconscious body.

Levi cannot help but stare at the body in confusion before he is pulled from his thoughts by Furlan.

"What's the meaning of this, Levi?" demands Furlan to his former companion.

"Why do you point your gun at us? He asks in a reasoning tone.

Levi takes a final look at Eren's body and shoots at Furlan.

Furlan screams as the bullet hits him directly in his left eye.

His companions immediately come to his aid.

"Furlan!" exclaims Gunther as he supports his friend.

"Dammit" snaps Eld as he starts shooting at Levi.

Levi returns fire as he runs towards the ventilator.

The two teens shoot at each other as Isabel dives to the ground to retrieve her fallen gun. With a sadistic smile she shoots at Levi, grazing his shoulder.

Neither Eld nor Isabel connect any more shots and Levi jumps inside the exit.

Isabel cannot help but feel disappointed as Levi escapes and looks at her companions.

Eld gives instructions to his comapanions.

"Isabel! Watch the area!"

"Gunther! Call HQ"

Isabel removes the magazine of her gun checks how much ammo is left and inserts it back.

Scene Change to the Escaped Students

Bertolt checks the area for any pursuers. Mina tries to recover from the shock of what happenes. Annie makes sure Mina is alright.

Once she makes sure Mina is alright, Annie turns towards Levi and asks the question that was on all three students' minds;

"What are you planning?"

Bertolt asks the next questions on their minds;

"Why did you help us?"

"Who are you?"

Levi responds in a soft but confused voice.

"I'm... Eren."

The three students look at "Eren" in surprise.

"Come again?" asks Bertolt.

"I don't know why I'm in this body" responds "Eren"

"But I'm Eren!" he insists.

Scene Change to the Beach

Furlan clutches his injured eye and angrily says the name of the person who shot him;

"Levi!"

He takes another breath and screams to the sky... which is filled with dozens of Titan units.

Throughout the Module hundreds of Titan units patrol the streets.

Civilians are gathered by military personnel. Those who try to escape are threatened.

For an unknown purpose they are escorted onto large space ships.

At Attack Academy

"Screw off!" yells Reiner

"Why the hell should we hand over our phones" he demands as two people from the military restrain him.

"Let go of me, shitheads!"

"I'm the boss in this school, god damn Marleyians!" he continues as he continues struggling but reluctantly gives his phone.

"Get the hell out of my turf—"

Reiner gets cut off as a soldiers hits him in the back of the head with the butt of their handgun, knocking him to the ground.

Students start to protest at this brutal act as soldiers start to kick Reiner.

"Resistance is futile." Proclaims a soldier. "Paradis surrendered unconditionally."

Students react with confusion to this statement.

Student: "Huh?"

Student: "They surrendered?"

The soldier continues speaking;

"Peace must've made you daft, so allow me to repeat!"

Student: "That wasn't an isolated attack?"

Soldier: "The nation you used to call Paradis is no more! This land now belongs to Greater Marley the glorious!"

Scene Change Back to Eren's Group

"Rock-paper-scissors!"

Eren and Bertolt were playing rock-paper-scissors to determine if he really is Eren as he never wins. Surely enough Bertolt wins every time.

"I guess you are Eren" concedes Bertolt.

"I didn't really follow your entire thought process, but I am" says Eren

"For real?" asks Mina with a smile of relief.

"I can't remember clearly, but when I got out of that robot..."

Eren flashes back to the time he bit Levi on the beach, gasping at the memory.

"When did you learn how to shoot?" asks a confused Bertolt.

"It's the same as memory loss" answers Annie. "Even if you forget who you are, it's not like you forget how to talk or use a phone."

"So fighting was an everyday thing for this body's owner?" says Eren in an understanding tone.

"Who is he?" asks Eren as he touches his new body in confusion.

"What do we do now?" asks Annie.

"We should get Eren's body back" suggests Mina.

"That's right. It must feel unsettling for you too" responds Bertolt. "Right Eren? Must feel strange to hardly being taller than Annie"

"Just that won't do" answers Eren.

"I'll get that robot and chase out every last Marleyian!" he continues, getting increasingly angry and threatening.

"Eren?" asks Mina, confused by her friend's ruthlessness.

"Anything less won't appease my anger" continues Eren as he clenches his fist.

Bertolt and Annie cannot help but inhale in shock at the sight of their friend speaking such threatening words.

"Those bastards killed Historia!"

Scene Change to a Ruined City

Marleyian soldiers are putting up their country's flags as a mark of their victory.

"The government of Paradis surrendered unconditionally"

"The annexation of Paradis was successful"

"Did I get that right?" asks the Marleyian Warchief.

A holographic image of Gunther shows up in front of him and answers.

"Yes sir." "We disabled all enemy forces on Module 77"

"The people if Paradis are being deported as we speak"

"We secured the primary target. It is mostly undamaged."

"The pilot is still unconscious. It is that student whose pictures circulated the net."

"Where is Levi?" asks the Warchief

"Uh..."

"Levi betrayed us!" pipes up an inappropriately happy Isabel.

The Warchief and his second-in-command cannot help but grunt in surprise at this news.

"Levi injured Furlan and is on the run." Says Gunther.

"We're uncertain as to why"

Furlan lies in a hospital bed, thinking of what could cause his friend to betray them.

"I've never heard of a Warrior Program graduate deserting" says a soldier how is showing a wanted picture to his companion.

"A stain on the otherwise immaculate records of the Perfektion Armee" responds the other soldier.

The two soldiers hear a noise and point their guns at the direction of the sound.

"Who's there?!" demands one of them.

They see the man who they were looking at a photo of come around the corner.

"You?!" asks one in surprise.

Bertolt, Annie and Mina who was covering her ears were hiding in an alley. They flinched when they heard the shots being fired and the men's dying screams.

Bertolt was the first to check on the situation, seeing Eren hunched over the soldier's corpses, cleaning his gun.

"You killed them?" asks Bertolt in surprise as the group runs towards their friend.

"I shouldn't have?" retorts Eren.

"We're at war, if you haven't realized"

"But..."

"They killed Historia. Did they expect me not to answer in kind?" continues Eren.

Annie gives him a disapproving look.

"You should stay here" advises Eren. "Things are about to get ugly"

"E-Eren... a-are you..." stutters Bertolt.

"I must avenge her... I will avenge her" proclaims Eren as Bertolt puts a hand on his shoulder.

Away from the students, a group of scientists were discussing the captured Valvrave, looking at the glowing, green power core.

"Is that the engine?"

"That's way too small"

"Don't you remember its power?"

"How did a supposedly neutral country end up with this technology?"

A scientists were taking pictures all across the Valvrave.

"I've never seen its likes before."

On Top

"This is the cooling fin"

"Smoke was coming out of it during yesterday's battle."

At a Hand

"I wonder why they made it humanoid"

"I'd rather know how it changed colours"

Close by two scientists were examining Eren's no longer injured body.

They turn when they hear a noise.

"What?" asks one scientist.

They turn to see Eren jumping out of a helicopter.

Eren kicks one of the scientists in the face, then without skipping a beat shoots the other in the neck and points his gun towards the first man.

"Levi?" croaks out the scientist.

Eren simply shoots him without answering him.

He turns towards the Valvrave and shoots at the sky a few times, warning the scientists to get away if they want to live. Luckily for them they do and run away.

Eren looks at his real body, confused by what he sees.

"My wounds are gone?" he asks in surprise.

Meanwhile inside the helicopter, Bertolt is having difficulties controlling it.

"Dammit! This doesn't handle like a motorcycle at all!" he exclaims hitting the ground once before hovering over the Valvrave.

Annie looks out the helicopter to see Eren climbing into the Valvrave with his body, jumping out to help her friend and landing on the Valvrave.

Eren puts his body down before turning to see Annie at the opening.

"I'm coming with you!" she proclaims.

No! This is..." pausing briefly to look at his body he continues; "This is dangerous!"

"What is?" asks Annie.

They duck when bullets are fired at them and Eren quickly pulls her inside.

Closing the hatch he turns to Annie.

"Why?" he asks.

Reaching into her pocket she answers; "Give me your hand. I'll tie you up", pulling out a length of rope.

Scene Change to the Marleyians in a Hospital Room

"Levi is here?" asks Eld

A female voice from his radio responds; "Yes! He hijacked the primary objective!"

"Levi!" repeats Furlan.

Scene Change Inside the Valvrave

"Just repeat the steps that caused the switch" instructs Annie.

"You think I'll go back to normal?" asks Eren who was tied up.

"That's how it works in the movies" answers Annie.

"Might as well give it a try" responds Eren as he approaches his body.

Without hesitation he bites his body's neck, instantly returning to his own body and causing Levi's to fall.

"I'm... I'm back in my own body!" he proclaims as he looks at his reflection on the cockpit's wall.

At the same time Levi wakes up in his own body.

"What?" he asks in confusion when he realizes he's tied up.

Eren glares at him and asks; "So we're back to normal?"

Levi gasps when he sees Eren.

"Why are you alive?" he asks in shock.

Meanwhile outside the Valvrave, a few soldiers are trying to get it open. They immediately begin to run when they realize it's starting to move.

"It's moving" yells one as some flee and another fires at it.

Inside the Valvrave Eren is trying to control the Valvrave, making it fly over to the Marleyian ship.

"Get lost, Marleyians!" yells Eren as he stomps on the ship.

In the Marleyian Ship

"Captain! He's too close!" yells Gunter.

"Pilot! Fly her fifteen degrees starboard!" commands the Captain.

Sure enough the ship the ship starts moving, causing the Valvarve to stumble

"What?" yells Eren before he falls off.

From the helicopter Mina sees what's happening to her friends.

"Eren! Annie!" she proclaims as her friends fall into the water.

"We're... sinking!" realizes Eren as he tries to get out of the situation.

Levi, who has been quiet for a while observes Eren's frantic attempts to get the Valvrave under control.

"He's an amateur?" he thinks to himself as he tries to wiggle out of the ropes.

"Let's leave the Module for now. We can join up with the rest of our forces" commands Gunter.

Meanwhile the still submerged Valvrave approaches a light at the bottom of the water, going through it to exit the water and following a path that leads them out.

"Are we... in space?" asks Eren in awe.

Annie ignores his questions as she approaches the display, marveling at the beauty of the stars before turning her attention to something in the distance.

"That's Earth..." she says in a mesmerized voice.

Unfortunately their awe is cut off as multiples crosshairs appear on the display.

"Enemies" yells a surprised Eren.

Not even a second after their realization a storm of ammunition bombards them, knocking the Valvrave back.

Trying to gain footing Eren tries to work with the controls to gain his bearings.

"I have no footing!" he proclaims.

"Of course! We're in space!" retorts a frantic Annie.

Another explosion interrupts their arguments, rocking the robot and making Annie fall into Eren's lap.

Not wanting to get killed Levi voices his own ideas, "Surrender! You can't win with a single unit!"

"Shut up!" retorts Annie as she pulls out a gun and points it at their rude hostage.

"Don't block my view!" yells Eren as he tries to look away from Annie's butt who is floating towards Levi.

Stepping on the pedals Eren activates the thrusters, propelling him through the gunfire towards the enemy Titans.

"Is that the light he used?" asks a Marleyian pilot.

Eren maneuvers around the Titans and pulls out a sickle, systematically destroying three Titans.

Meanwhile the Marleyian ship exits the module. At the same time a pilot climbs into his own Unit.

"Nice and easy, Furlan. You're injured" advises Gunter from his comm.

"That's precisely why I'm going" responds Furlan as he straps himself in.

"Furlan! Ideal, vox out!"

"Blitzendagen!" yells the crew.

"Blitzendagen" echoes Furlan.

Furlan's unit takes off and flies towards his enemy.

At the same time Eren destroys the final Titan unit, shielding himself from the explosion before turning to the Marleyian ship and sees a Unit flying towards them.

"It's huge... What is it?" asks Annie when she sees the Unit.

As if responding to Annie's question, Gunter introduces the unit;

"The crowning jewel of our Military: the heavy fighter unit Ideal"

"Let us show you why Marley can hold its own against the mighty Eldia"

Not wasting any time Furlan shoots dozens of missiles at the opposing Valvarave.

"What's that?" asks Eren.

"Here we go, Levi!" proclaims Furlan.

Furlan directs the missiles towards Eren's Valvrave, homing in on him as he tries to dodge them. In spite of Eren's efforts several missiles land, shaking the Valvrave and causing Annie to hit the wall.

Levi recognizes the attack pattern quickly, realizing who is fighting them. "This attack... It's Furlan" he proclaims.

Annie gets up and looks at the control panel, seeing a number rising she asks Eren; "What's that number?"

"It stops moving when it reaches 100!" responds Eren who is looking for a way to avoid the missiles.

"Are you serious?!" asks Annie incredulously.

"If I keep moving, it'll overheat!" continues Eren, quickly realizing that they are in an unwinnable situation.

"But than what can we do?" asks an increasingly desperate Annie.

"How should I know?" retorts an equally desperate Eren.

Not wasting the opportunity, Levi grabs Annie's ankle and hold her in a headlock against his chest and points Annie's gun at Eren.

"It stopped?" asks a confused Furlan.

Tightening his grip on Annie, Levi gives his demands, "Surrender. Send the disarmament signal"

"Let go of Annie!" retorts an increasingly angry Eren.

Levi looks at Eren's chest and realizes something strange, "His wounds are gone?"

The two boys continue glaring at each other before they are interrupted by the Valvrave shaking again.

They look forward and see the Ideal unit directly in front of the Valvrave.

The three hear Furlan's voice.

"Levi!"

"Why did you shoot me?"

"What?" asks Levi in surprise despite Furlan not being able to hear him.

"Traitor!" proclaims Furlan.

"I'll see justice is met myself!"

"What is he talking about?" asks a thoroughly confused Levi.

"LEVI!" yells Furlan.

Furlan activates his unit's rocket hands, propelling the Valvrave into an asteroid.

Quickly recovering, Levi asks another question;

"I betrayed them?"

Eren gets more distance from his enemy by flying away.

"Running away?" sneers Furlan as he begins his chase.

Levi tightens his grip on Annie and points his gun at Eren again.

"Hey! What's going on here?!"

"Weren't you listening? You shot your comrade." responds Annie.

"I did nothing of the sort!" yells Levi in anger and disbelief, tightening his grip again and pointing the gun closer to Eren.

Their argument is cut off by more missiles being fired at them.

Eren destroys them before getting fired upon by another unit.

"Hey Big Bro! Thanks for betraying us! I always wanted to fight you!" yells Isabel as she fires at the Valvrave with a deranged look on her face.

Eren barely outmaneuvers Isabel's unit which tries to grab him, before a shot gets in her way.

"What are you doing Furlan?!" asks an incredulous Isabel.

"Stay out of this Isabel" responds Furlan, "This is between Levi and me!"

"C'mon Furlan! I want to teach Big Bro a lesson to!"

Taking advantage of the enemies' argument Eren hides the Valvrave behind an asteroid to catch his breath.

Still pointing his gun at Eren, Levi continues asking questions.

"What have you done to me?!"

"I shot Furlan? Impossible!"

Eren barely acknowledges the short boy's comments as he looks around, desperately searching for a way out of the situation. His actions are interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing.

"This ringtone..." he says in acknowledgement as he digs his cellphone out of his blazer and looks at the ID of the person calling.

Levi grunts in annoyance as the boy continues to ignore him.

Eren gasps when he sees exactly who is calling him.

"Historia!"

Eren quickly answers the call.

"Eren? Is that you?" asks Historia when the call goes through.

"This voice... Historia?" asks Eren, dumbfounded. "You're really..."

Annie who is still in Levi's headlock gasps and looks at Eren as he says the name of their supposedly deceased friend.

Levi becomes increasingly annoyed as Eren continues to ignore him and instead talks on his phone.

"Historia, where are you?" asks Eren.

"Underground. I got stuck in the car" answers Historia.

"I see... So that's what happened..." responds Eren as his voice begins to crack in happiness. "Thank goodness"

"I'm sure I killed him."

"But while his clothes are damaged, his wounds are gone"

"What's going on?"

The actions of the three in the Valvrave is interrupted as missiles destroy the asteroid they are hiding behind.

Historia reacts to the sound, pulling her phone away from her ear.

"Eren? Can you hear me?" asks a concerned Historia before she is interrupted by her phone giving a notification.

"Sorry. I'm out of battery!"

"It's okay. I'll be back right away" says Eren.

"We'll talk face to face" he promises as he dodges more missiles.

"I don't remember shooting Furlan" thinks Levi.

"But then I don't remember getting injured either."

"What happened to my body while I was out?"

"I was manipulated? But by whom?"

"Historia, when I'm back, I think you should finish telling me what you wanted to tell me earlier."

Historia gasps in embarrassment at this idea.

"At the shrine remember?"

"I promise. I'll be back!"

Furlan fires a shot at Eren, which he is barely able to block with his energy shields but still causes the Valvrave to overheat, strangely changing the denominator from 100 to 666.

The Valvrave becomes unable to move.

Historia's phone runs out of body as the blond haired man she is trapped in the car with gets the car to start.

"It's on!" he tells her.

Furlan and Isabel look upon the unmoving Valvrave in confusion.

"It stopped again" he asked.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why?" asks a frustrated Eren.

"Historia's alive! I made a promise!"

"I told her I'd be back! How can this happen?!"

"It can't end like this!"

"Hey! Move!" he tells the Valvrave as he angrily tries to work the controls.

"Forty-one hertz, thirty micropascal"

Eren looks at Levi, confused as to what he is saying.

"The engine is still running"

"The text on the medical boxes behind you has changed"

"They must've wanted to use a universal sans-serif font for all text"

"From this alone it's clear that this cockpit's designer were morbidly methodical"

"But look at the heat capacity indicator"

"It jumped from 100 to 666"

"I doubt the designers would set it to a random number"

"But there are warning messages all over the place!" counters Eren.

"What could be beyond 666?" he asks.

"Possibility" respond Levi.

Eren simply looks at the ever increasing number.

Furlan approaches the Valvrave and begins to crush it in the Ideal's claws.

"I'll start by tearing your limbs off"

"I won't die. I won't give up here!"

"Historia was alive after all"

"Please surrender, Levi!"

"I don't want to kill you..."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I promised Historia!"

"I told her I'd come back!"

"I WON'T GIVE UP!"

The Valvrave reaches 666/666 heat capacity, causing the cockpit to glow with a fire-like aura, eventually engulfing the entire mecha.

"What?" asks Furlan in surprise.

"Something's wrong! Get away from it Furlan! Quick!" yells Gunter over the intercom.

"I'LL STAY ALIVE!" proclaims Eren.

"I'LL STAY ALIVE!" he repeats as he unsheathes a sword.

Two hatches surrounding the Valvrave's power source open in the abdomen and Eren proceeds to stab his blade into it, engulfing it in the fiery light.

"Harakiri?" asks Furlan in surprise at his enemy's action (A/N: Harakiri is also known as seppuku and translates to "abdomen/belly cutting", a fitting action for Eren)

The Valvrave glows more as Eren pulls the sword out and slashes a sword beam towards Furlan and Isabel, the latter of whom barely dodges as the former takes the hit to his Unit's side, causing him to scream in distress.

Gunter, Eld and their captain watch this attack, stunned at what they see.

"What... was that?" asks Gunter, taking a step back.

The captain grabs an intercom and relays instructions; "Gather all remaining forces!"

He is cut off by a laser firing outside their ship.

"What's going on?" demands Gunter.

"It's an Eldian fleet" informs a female voice.

Several more shots are fired from the opposing fleet, hitting the Marleyian ship.

"Why did they have to show up?!" asks Eld rhetorically.

"Retreat! We are retreating!" commands the captain.

"Isabel!" yells Gunter.

"Okay..." responds Isabel in disappointment as she grabs the damaged Ideal unit and speeds towards the main ship.

Meanwhile the Valvrave stopped glowing, while still remaining unmovable.

"They're... gone?" asks Eren

"Yeah! Yeah, they are!" answers a relieved Annie.

Annie jumps over to Eren and hugs him. Eren keeps a dumbfounded look on his face at this sudden rush of affection but does not reject the hug.

"Tell me" says Levi through the silence.

"I'm certain I killed you."

Eren gasps at this revelation and Annie looks to him in surprise.

"Then why did I shoot Furlan? Why don't I remember that?" demands Levi, becoming increasingly hostile.

Eren once again gasps, eyes widening as the implications begin to set in.

"Are you behind this?" questions Levi.

"You monster!" he accuses.

Eren gasps at this accusation, starting to fear that he is no longer normal.

Scene Change to the Wrecked School Grounds

Historia pushes open the car door through the wreckage. Bertolt and Mina who were digging through the rubble nearby see her alive.

"We're finally out! Hurray!" cheers Historia as she celebrates her survival and freedom and the blond man she was trapped with climbs out.

Scene and Time Change to the Harbor at Night

Eren scales down the Valvrave and watches two officers lead Levi away.

"Eren!" calls Historia, running over to him.

"So you really were in a robot!"

"It's so big!"

Bertolt and Mina walk over waving to Eren and Annie with big smiles on their faces.

Annie decides not to ruin the two childhood friends' reunion and walks away.

"Thank you" says Historia.

"We made it through thanks to you" she praises.

"I didn't really..." denies Eren sheepishly as he looks away.

"So, do you remember what we were talking about?" asks Historia, a blush coming across her cheeks.

Eren gasps as he realizes what she is referring to.

"Remember... at the shrine?" she continues, still blushing "We got interrupted"

Bertolt and Mina smile at this display.

"Eren... I... love..."

"Wait!" interrupts Eren. "First I want to say something!"

"I..."

"Love..."

"How lame your shirt is!"

Historia gasps at what he says.

"What? This is important! I just had to tell you! That shirt like, makes me want to call the fashion police!" he continues with a teasing smile.

"EHHHHHH!" shouts Historia at his rude comment.

Bertolt and Mina are similarly shocked, thinking that for once in his life Eren wouldn't be as dense and insensitive as he normally is.

"It's a limited edition! The writer's mom signed it!" exclaims Historia as she tries to defend herself.

"The hell?! You gotta be kidding me! You interrupt me just to say that?!" she whines while blushing and getting increasingly annoyed.

"That's how grave your lack of style is!" teases Eren as he starts to run away.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" demands Historia.

"Bleedin' the lizard! I've been holding it in the whole time!" he answers cheekily as Bertolt follows him.

Historia and Mina look at him running off in shock before Historia says one last thing to him;

"How vulgar! You louse!" she calls after him.

Eren runs into a nearby alley, Bertolt follows him in shortly after.

"Hey, are you serious?" questions Bertolt, completely exasperated.

"What choice do I have?" retorts Eren.

"W-what are you...?" asks Bertolt.

"I turned into this... monster..." answers Eren with a voice tinged with sadness.

"Monsters don't have feelings" he concludes as tears start streaming from his eyes.

"E-Eren..." calls Bert in concern, not sure of what to say.

Eren continues crying, falling to his knees and sobbing.
