"I can't believe I slept through the class, but it wasn't really my fault though, I'm not cut for 'meditating'. I mean, who even likes it. Just sitting quiet and doing nothing." I complained to Blue as we walked to the cafeteria.

"I believe many people actually love it JJ, and what happened to you earlier on? You gave me quite a scare."

"What happened? Oh, that's what I have been trying to tell you. It was too boring for me, I don't like quiet places, so I slept like a baby,"  I replied laughing softly.

But she stared at me in surprise,
"You mean you only slept?"

"Yeah, I told you before, it's not my fault, I am not like you guys, it was quite boring for me, since I have no powers to communicate to."

But she didn't look convinced, I wondered why?

I didn't bother to question her, because we arrived at the cafeteria door. My last encounter here wasn't a nice one, so I was sort of  anxious.

We entered into the hall, and just like before, it was filled up. We received our food and sat at a table with a bunch of people.

" Hey " Blue greated them."  Meet JJ, and JJ,  these are my friends.
Dell, she said, pointing at a girl with short red hair, cut in a bob with uneven bangs.

"Hi," she replied unenthusiastically.

"And meet Sammy," a boy with big glasses and a large, pouty lip with a big stock of blonde hair on his head, smiled at me and said a little hello.

Next was the fire girl from the gift class." And she is Taylor," looking at her up close, I realized she was beautiful, with her  pretty long orange hair, and hazel eyes.
"Oh, hello JJ, it's nice meeting you. So quick question, coffee or tea?"

"Huh?" I was shocked,  I didn't expect that.

"I mean, do you prefer coffee or tea. And don't you dare say tea or I will  use this fork to pluck your pretty eye balls out." She stated with a full blown grin.

Woah! What was her name again?  Yeah, psycho.

"Oh, I- I,  uh, I love coffee, I mean it's the best, like who in their right mind would prefer tea. Coffee brings out the flavor in your, uh.. In your dish, yes in your dish. And it gets your brain all ready for beauty, and, uh life." I replied out of breath.

But they all burst into laughter at that. And, Taylor squealed,
"I like you, words of wisdom. Coffee definitely gets our brain ready for beauty," she said still laughing.

"And don't forget life, it gets our brain ready for life." Sammy said, and they all burst into another peal of laugher.

Apart from that, lunch was uneventful, and we were done before I knew it.

Blue followed me again to the garden door, then bid me farewell.

I continued into the garden and met Mr headmaster sitting on his chair. As usual, he spared me no glance, but pointed at the bush.

I picked up the matched and went to work.

Let's say, I thought it would be easier, since I had done it the previous day. But easy is not the word I will use to describe it.

It was as if, the more I cut it, the more it increased,  I kept going back and forth, I was sure now. Somehow this bush was growing back as I cut it. So frustrating.

My arms were already sore and I had blisters all over my delicate fingers.

I was restless, looking at the place I just cleared, it had grown already.  What the hell. I looked at the headmaster to see that he didn't even care, he was still sitting with eyes closed.

I heard some ruffles on the  soil and turned around,  only to see the ugly smirk of that arrogant annoying psycho jerk prince.

Standing  beside him was a girl with hands stretched towards the bush, at where I had just cleared. What! She was growing the plants again.

"Hey, you imbecile, what do you think you're doing!"  I screamed, but they turned and ran out.

I can't believe it, I turned to the headmaster to see him staring at me with raised brows.

"You just noticed them now?" He asked.

"What! You knew what they were doing, and you didn't say anything?

But he only shrugged," none of my business.

"Ah, this is outrageous, I can't believe it."

"Yes, now go back to work, if you don't want to be punished for sleeping in my class."

Grumbling, I picked up the machete, and went back to my work.

I had gone far, almost half of the bush was finally cleared when the headmaster stood up and called to me.

"Come and sit," he said. Wow, that was nice.

Sitting on the bench with him beside me, I was offered a bottle of water, after gulping it down,  he asked  me

" Why did you sleep in my class?"  Oh boy, I thought we were passed this already.

"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to, but it's kind of your fault, you made me do that boring stuff.  I don't mean your class is boring, I mean just that aspect of it. Not because you are the teacher, of course.  You are a great teacher,  top notch.  But  it's me that have the problem, not you. I hate the meditation stuff, it's boring. But you're not,  you are so awesome and interesting, full of life and laughter. "Oh my God JJ,  it's time to shut up."

He looked at me for a while before asking again."So you didn't hear anything?"

" I'm afraid I didn't."

"That's a shame," he muttered to himself.

"What of  dream, did you have any dream while sleeping?"

Hmm, that was a weird question. But I was confused, dream?

I have been having weird dreams at night, but I can't remember if I had a dream in class.

"No, I can't remember any."

"Nothing? You can't remember what happened when you went to sleep?"

Now he was talking insanely.

"Yeah, I remember you dancing in front of the class and waggling your tail." I replied sarcastically, while rolling my eyes.

"Of course I don't remember anything,  I was sleeping!"

After staring at me one last time, he stood up and told me to follow him.

We walked round the bush and came to a stop. There was a stump of wood on the ground with an ax dug slightly into it.

He walked to it, picked up a log from the pile on the floor, placed it on the stump facing upwards. Then picked up the ax, and with ease he lifted it up and chopped the wood in half.

He dropped the ax in front of  me. "Make sure to target the middle."

Oh my God, this just moved from bad to worse. "I'm chopping wood now?"

I didn't see how all this was helping me, but who was I to mention.

Picking up a log, wasn't as easy as he made it look. I placed it on the stump just as he did, facing upwards.  Then I picked up the ax.

This here, was the problem,  how was I to cut the wood, when I couldn't even lift up the ax well.?

After trying countless of times, I was finally able to raise the ax  above my head. I wasn't that weak, but I can swear that this wasn't how a normal ax was supposed to weigh.

After many efforts, I finally put a dent in the wood.

"What do you think you are doing?  You are definitely not worth my time,  it's pitiful that you were given a chance to live, and you are throwing it away." I heard headmaster speak, but I ignored him.

"Why do I even waste my time,  it will be easier to just kill you here, you can't even hold an ax properly, such a shame."

I really hate when they say things like this,  it's really annoying,  who are they to decide if I worth living or not. I picked it up again,  I was so frustrated  and bittered, but refused to grant him the pleasure of seeing me hurt, because I was sure, if I tried to speak,  I would end up crying.
I hated being in this situation.  I kept on raising the ax and bringing it down with force on the log.

I wished I could just run away, or go back to earth. But I knew I couldn't,

"I hit the log again with the ax, and it dug right into it, it didn't separate but it made progress,  a lot.

I did it one more time, and I chopped the wood right. I was about smiling when I heard his voice again.
" So you think chopping one pitiful log of wood is enough to let you live? You better understand that you need more than that. And up until now, you haven't given me a reason to help you, but until then,  you will keep chopping these woods.

I was tempted to use the ax, on his head, then he would see who was worth living between both of us.
Groaning and huffing loudly,  I bent down to pick another log, but I scraped my hand on a rough edge, causing blood to spill out. It wasn't painful,  but now I had blood on my hands.

Huh! I froze, it sounded familiar, where did I hear that statement from?

And then a loud gasp escaped from me. I remembered,  I remembered everything.

I heard it from my dream, the dream I had in class.
