Chapter Twenty
They Always Find Out

3rd Person POV

"we need to find tape now" val said and she left the room as she went and found tape and rope. she walked back into the room and tied her up before they texted rowan and she showed up

val stayed with jai as they went and opened the door for rowan

" What did you three do?" rowan asked them

" She has the masks" elisia stated

"she knows something about nicki" tessa said

"untie me please" jai said and rowan stepped forward as she leaned down

" Are you a part of the zoo?" she asked

"no" jai said and val scoffed

"bullshit" val stated

" Fine, I was. It all started with the video. Kingcobra used it to blackmail me" jai stated

"what is it?" tessa asked

" Nicki recorded it without me knowing. It happened in the bathroom after cheer. She was the only one there. It was sent to me from an unknown number, so I confronted her about it. We thought about it, and she denied it. So I went on the zoo website to vent. And that's when I started chatting with kingcobra, who said I can get even with Nicki, and that's where I got the masks" jai explained and thunder hit as the power went out

"i have a lighter" tessa said and she grabbed a candle

" What did you do for kingcobra?" val asked

" Stupid shit. I lit a Mannequin in fire in Nickis backyard just to scare her" jai said

"what else?" elisia pushed

" I followed you the night Val was shot. I mean, kingcobra knew that val was faking her death. But I had Nothing to do with what happened to Ash Val. The idea behind Mr. empty is he drives you crazy. He doesn't have to hurt you because you'll hurt yourself when he's done with you. He'll  scare you through your phone, your computer, to the point where you'll give up everything just to get away." jai stated

"just like hailey" elisia said and val nodded as she grabbed onto elisias hand as well as rowan's

"that's why she had a red x over her picture at zoe's" rowan said

"they scared her away" elisia said and val sighed

"you pushed me in the pool" tessa spoke

" No I didn't. I saved you" jai said

" You texted me telling Me to meet you in the backyard" tessa retorted

" No I didn't I don't even have your number. I didn't wanna be there when you woke up because I didn't know how to convince you it wasn't me who pushed you win. That night kingcobra sent me my video instead if I didn't keep my mouth shut, then everyone will know my secret. If that video gets out, my life... It'll be over" jai said and they all looked at val

"i get it" val said and she walked forward as she untied jai and jai sighed

" I don't blame Nikki anymore you know For lighting that match. We're all their puppets" elisia said and they sat next to each other

"so we have to do something about it but not tonight, we have to go home. i'm sorry jai" she said and jai nodded as they all got up and left the house

"bye" they all said to her and they separated as they walked home and went to bed. the next morning, val woke up and got up as she got dressed and left the house

she walked to school and found the girls quickly . they met up in the cafeteria and sat down together as val sat next to elisia and looked at the others

" OK so what should I do to help?" jai asked

" Can you send a message to kingcobra?" elisia questioned

" That's not really how it works. I don't give messages, I get them" jai said and rowan's phone went off

"who is it?" elisia asked

"it's that chick allison. she won't stop texting me. She says that Mr. empty knows that she talk to me" rowan said and val sighed as her phone went off and val picked it up to see a video of jai and another girl in the bathroom

"oh shit" val said and she watched as jai ran out and tessa followed after her

"we have to do something" val stated and she looked around as she watched them laugh

"they always find out" she exclaimed and the bell went off as val looked at her phone

"val?" elisia asked and val sighed

"we have to go" she said and she got up as she left them and she walked to class and sat down . she felt another buzz and she sighed as she picked up her phone and there was the video of her and milo

she felt the eyes on her and she looked up but she shrugged and didn't care . she went on through out the day and didn't care

"you're a crazy bitch" someone said and she turned to them as she shrugged

"yeah but he deserved it, i guess you truly didn't watch the whole video you dumbass" val said and she left the school and walked home. she heard a knock on the front door and she opened it as she looked around and didn't see anyone

"what the fuck" she said and she felt someone wrap their hand around her mouth as they held a cloth to her mouth. she didn't see their face , she scratched them and tried to fight back but it didn't work. the person wrapped tape around her mouth and proceeded to trip her as they wrapped rope around their legs and arms

"HELP!" val screamed but it was muffled. the person picked her up and put her in the back of the trunk as she stared st the phone that was pointed at her

"say hi to your girlfriends" they said and the trunk closed and they drove her to a building as they led her to the back and put her in the freezer

she was knocked out and the last thing she remembered was the door closing

she was horrified
