I Handled It

3rd Person POV

val was woken up by texts and she rolled over on the couch as she groaned and sat up. she picked up her phone and stared at it as she opened the text and read them over with a tired smile on her face

'my dad told me milo was at your house and you threatened him. are you okay?' rowan asked in the groupchat

'MILO WAS WHERE?' elisia responsed and val laughed under her breathe

'it's fine i handled it . yeah he was here yesterday' she texted and she felt the girls calm down on the other side of the phone. val got up as she grabbed a amy winehouse record and put it on the record player

she started to dance along with it as nala barked and started to run after her as val smiled and started to dance around the kitchen. she grabbed bread out of the bread box as she put it in the toaster and grabbed the jam as well as the peanut butter

she spun around and smiled before the toast popped up and she spread the jam on it as well as the peanut butter. she walked to the living room and she sat down as she ate it and then there was a knock on the door

she got up and opened it to see elisia standing there talking to rowan before they turned to their girlfriend and looked at her with smiles on their faces

"so you handled it?" elisia asked and val nodded

"the neighbors got a video of it val, we heard what he said and what you said" elisia said and she sighed as she opened the door and let them in

"yeah i um he's just horrible" val said and they both nodded

"are you okay?" rowan asked and val sighed as they all sat down on the couch

"i guess , why can't he just let me live and leave me alone? is it really that hard?" she sighed and they both shook their heads

"it's not hard at all val. but um we have to go to stingers and check something out. we should go" rowan said and she stood up as she helped elisia up and then val

"let's go then" val said and she walked over as she removed the needle and left the record there. she put nala in her crate and she left the house with the girls

they walked to stingers and when they got there rowan showed him something as he looked it up

" You can buy these freaky- decks online. There for people who want to be service of Mr. empty. They're called empties" he stated

"who the hell mr.empty?" val asked and he turned to her

" Really?" he asked and she nodded

"it's the online urban legend babe" elisia said and val smiled gratefully

"the one, the only" stingers responsed

" There are these sites were people make up the most horrifying creatures and write stories about them. You've definitely seen stuff online. Mr. empty is the most famous" elisia explained

"you know i would've expected that you would know this val but of course elisia is the one that knows the dark, sinister shit. The only difference is that he's not made up, at least not anymore. Someone access him. Big-time hacker. He's real. This is his army of empties, people he recruits online" stinger stated

" Recruits them to do what?" val asked at the same time elisia did

" Anything he wants" he said and his phone started ringing as he walked away and they all looked at each other

"why can't milo leave you alone val? i know what you told us is true but why isn't he scared of you the way he should be?" rowan said and val stared at the ground

"because he's not scared, he doesn't scare easily. i can handle him though, what's the next step?" she asked and elisia rubbed between val's shoulder as they looked at rowan

" Trying to figure out why sean was at Zoe's house" rowan stated

" You're right. Sean keeps popping up everywhere Zoe supposed to be" elisia stated

" In the only thing Zoe and Sean having common is camp. Hold up. There was some thing. A letter and Zoe's file that said some thing about Zoe transferring because of a cousin. Do you think that Zoe and sean are related?" rowan asked and val shrugged as they noticed stinger walked back over

"alright i say that you guys head home, it's gotten pretty late and i want to make sure that you guys get home safe" stinger said and they all nodded

"we'll walk you home val" elisia said and rowan nodded as they wrapped their hands around val's and walked her home.

"val" someone called and she looked up from her girlfriends to see brynn standing there

"hey are you okay?" rowan asked and val nodded

"yeah i'll be alright, i'll text you guys later" she said

"we're heading to zoe's , we'll tell you if we find anything" elisia said and val leaned in she kissed them both softly before she left and walked over to brynn who was standing there waiting for her

"so that's cute" brynn said and val smiled as she walked over and sat on the steps with her

"what's up brynn? we don't talk, how do you know where i live?" val asked and brynn ran a hand through her hair

"i'm raginingrhino" brynn blurted and val scoffed

"yeah i know, i was just waiting for you to admit it" she said and brynn sighed

"i'm so sorry for being shitty to you, it's just difficult" brynn stated and val nodded

"i get it you know but why are you here?" she asked and brynn shrugged

"ever since brandon went to jail i just haven't been able to cope right or think right and i don't know. you're a good person valerie, you care about people and i know that you hate my boyfriend but you don't hate me right" she asked and val nodded

"i could never hate you brynn you aren't at fault for brandon's actions trust me" she said and brynn nodded as they sat there for the next few minutes and then brynn looked at val

"you , rowan and elisia are cute. i'm really happy for you" she said and val smiled

"thanks" she responded and then her phone buzzed as she pulled it out of her pocket and looked at the text

'HELP' she read from rowan and elisia and her breathing stopped

she was horrified
