Make Yourself At Home

3rd Person POV

val looked at her phone and stared as she read over the text and then she shot up out of bed. she quickly changed back into suitable clothing and she left her house

she walked to elisias and opened the door to be met with tessa sitting on the ground next to rowan and elisia as she had a towel wrapped around her and she was shivering

"holy shit tessa" valerie said and she walked over as she sat down on the floor and looked at her

"we told her" elisia stated and val nodded

"but we haven't told many other people" rowan exclaimed and val nodded again

"if someone knows too much, they become a target. obviously" elisia said and val nodded

"i got involved with these two and started to find things out, that's when they started to come after me too" val stated and elisia sighed with rowan

" I mean, I can't believe that somebody was in my house, Recording me and I didn't even know it. You know, are you guys like scared, like, all the time?" tessa exclaimed

"basically, yeah" elisia said

" It's why we're always together I got shot I've been horrified ever since" val said and elisia rubbed her leg

" But what about hawk? What do we know about him?" tessa questioned

" He picked up Allison from the diner, so they know each other. Dude, she works for Mr. empty. She told me we could  find him by using missed connections on flash" rowan stated and val shared a look with her

" Wait, I think I got a message from Mr. empty" tessa said and she pulled out her phone as they all looked at the text

"xoxo, zoe does that" elisia said

" I got the message on Tuesday. When did Zoe die?" she asked

"wednesday" rowan and val said together

I, I saw a video on Jais computer. It was a video that Nikki made, setting a house on fire. She was wearing a mask. is She apart of the zoo?" tessa asked

"no. Nikki was blackmailed by monkeyman to make the video for the zoo. Why did Jai have that on her computer?" rowan said and val sighed

"jais apart of the zoo, we have to go to her house now" val stated and she stood up as she looked at them but she zoned out as elisia and tessa talked about jai and the others until she heard tessa's shaky breathe

"hey hey you have to breathe" she said and she stepped forward as she got her water and handed it to her

"elisia, you Didn't have to bury that gun. But you saw the video of someone in my house. I mean, I barely know you. Why would you help me?" she asked

" For some reason, I trust you. I know I shouldn't, but I do" she said and val smiled with rowan

"that's a lot coming from her" val said with rowan

" We have to go back to Jais house. We need to search and find what she's hiding. you in?" tessa said and they all nodded

"maybe tomorrow, we should get some sleep tonight" val exclaimed

"i have to head home but i will see you guys tomorrow" rowan said and she got up as she kissed elisia and val and then left. val stayed at the house with elisia until she looked at tessa

"do you want me to walk you home, make sure you're safe?" she asked

"i don't really want to go home tonight" tessa exclaimed and val nodded

"you can come home with me tonight, me and nala will protect you" she said and elisia smiled

"i'll see you later eli" she kissed her girlfriend and left the room with tessa, they walked to the house and walked in to the darkness and nala out of her crate

"make yourself at home" she said and she grabbed a change of clothes for tessa as she handed them to her

"bathroom is right down the hall on your left" and tessa nodded as she took the clothes

"you know i get why rowan and elisia love you so much" she said and she walked to the bathroom as she closed the door and sat down on the couch

"whose your friend?" sophia asked and val looked at her

"tessa, she went through something's tonight. just wanted to take care of her and make sure she's alright" she said and allison walked out of the kitchen

"are you okay? is she okay?" allison asked

"yeah yeah i'm alright mama" she said and allison walked over as she hugged her

"we love you kiddo" sophia stated and val nodded

"i love you too" she responded and the bathroom door opened as tessa walked out and val's phone rang

"hi you must be tessa" sophia said and tessa smiled at her

"i am, it's nice to meet you mrs owens" she stated and sophia smiled at her with allison

"i have to pick this up, i'll be right back" she said and she got up from the couch as she walked out to the back and noticed that the rain was now coming down and she sighed

"are we really going to do this?" elisia asked on the other side of the call and val sighed as she felt the raindrops slide down her face

"we have to, jai can't win and the zoo can't either" she responded and elisia nodded

"i'll meet you two at your house and then we can go" elisia said and the call ended as val walked back in and noticed that sophia wasn't with allison and tessa anymore

"elisias on her way" val said and tessa got up from the couch as she put her shoes on and they left the house meeting up with elisia out front. they started to walk to jais as they followed behind tessa

" She said her parents are out of town. This is her room" tessa stated

" When a door closes , a window opens" elisia said

" Oh, well, that's unfortunate because this is breaking and entering" tessa spoke and val climbed inside with elisia as they started to look around

" this computer was in my bag when somebody hit me over the head. now it's here" tessa said

"oh fuck, she was the one with the bat" val spoke and elisia opened the closet door as val looked up

"babe" she called and elisia walked out of the closet as they looked at the closet with a fox and an empty mask on it

she had shot her, jai was the one who shot val

"jai was the one who shot you val" and then the door opened

"hey, what are you doing in my room?" jai asked as she walked closer to elisia

"who sent you?" she asked and val spun her around as she punched her on the face and knocked her out. she wrapped her arms around elisia as they looked at jai who laid on the ground

revenge was sweet
