Chapter Eight
I Will Break You

3rd Person POV

val woke up the next morning on the couch again laying between rowan and elisia. the sun was shining on rowan's face and val brushed the hair out of her eyes before she pushed herself up. she went to the record player and started to play the song before her phone started to ring and she picked it up

"hello?" she asked in confusion

"hi val" hailey said in a groggy voice

"hailey what's up are you okay?" she questioned

"i um are rowan and elisia with you?" she asked

"yeah yeah they are, do you need us to come over?" she exclaimed

"yeah thanks" hailey said and val nodded even though she couldn't see her. she walked over and shook them awake

"hey hailey needs us at her house, let's go" val said and they both groaned before they smiled at val and got up

they got dressed and walked to haileys house

"i'll make her some tea, you guys go talk to her" val said and they both kissed her cheek before they walked up the stairs and val started to look around. she went into some cabinets as she started to make the tea. she put some honey in it and then she put some ice before she walked upstairs and saw them laying together in silence

"nickis been through a lot . i mean we all have. I actually asked her if she ever heard of monkeyman but she said she hasn't even gotten any messages" rowan exclaimed

" last time monkey man was right in front of your own, and you didn't even see him" elisia spoke

"that's not fair" hailey said and rowan held a hand out for val and she walked over

"here" val handed hailey the tea and she took it gratefully

"did you ever check brandon's locker?" hailey asked

" Yeah but those numbers didn't work" rowan exclaimed

" You should try Trevors" hailey suggested

" Maybe sean's to just to be sure, send me both of their locker numbers OK?" rowan said and then they looked at the clock

"hey we have to go to school but we'll see you later" val said and she wrapped her hand around rowans and elisias before they walked to school and was met with signs on the walls

"oh what the fuck?" val said and she picked one up

"i did this" rowan whispered and val smirked as she nodded in understanding

"proud of you" val said to rowan but trevor spoke up

"hey rowan, someone else knows" he called and val scoffed

"again i will break you the way i broke my ex, don't test me fuckass" she exclaimed and he scoffed before he walked off and val walked into her class with elisia but she stopped when she heard rowan and ms dawson talking

"trevor posted these fliers all over the school. i found these in his backpack it's the original" rowan said and val scoffed

"our girlfriend is kind of a genius" elisia let slip

"our?" val asked and elisia smiled

" oh i just thought..." elisia said and she led off but val continued for her

"no i get it, we just haven't established anything yet so i don't know but i think i like that idea. our" val said and elisia agreed as they sat down next to each other

"are we hanging out tonight again?" elisia asked and val nodded

" i guess we can" she laughed and elisia nudged her arm as they both smiled and continued to listen

"valerie are you listening?" the teacher asked and she nodded

"yeah yeah sorry i just didn't get much sleep last night" she exclaimed and elisia laughed under her breathe as val kicked her in the leg

"please pay attention more val" he said and he turned back to the board. they sat there until the bell rang and val packed up her stuff as she left the class holding elisias hand before she felt her phone vibrate

she picked it up without looking at the caller id

"hi val" a male voice said on the other end and she took a deep breathe out as a shiver ran down her spine

"milo?" she whispered and she heard his sinister laugh on the other end. she was horrified, she felt the bile raising up in her throat and elisia stared at her

"val" elisia said and val dropped her phone as she ran to the bathroom and she threw up into the toilet. elisia grabbed val's phone off the ground and she followed close behind her

"val hey hey i'm here" elisia said and she ran her hand over val's back as she laid there on the bathroom floor and stared at the floor. the call had ended but she still heard it

she heard milo's voice ringing in her head, she felt the ringing in her head. she hated everything about him but he didn't know where she was. he didn't know how she was doing. he truly didn't know the way that was changing and happy but that didn't matter

"val, elisia you in here?" rowan called and elisia peeked her head out of the stall

"in here" she said and rowan walked over as she looked at val and slid down next to her

"what happened?" rowan asked and val leaned her head on her shoulder as she flushed the toilet

"it was milo, he called" she whispered and it was silent. they didn't know what to say or what to do

"what do you need us to do?" elisia asked and val looked at her before she looked at rowan too

"ignore this, act like it didn't happen. milo got what he deserved and i don't feel bad , we haven't seen stinger in a while so we should go. let's go" val said and they got up as they left the school and went to stingers

"the pig mask was in sean's locker, sean is pigmania" rowan exclaimed as they walked in

" Hailey isn't returning any of my calls. They had teargas that they threw like a smoke bomb at Hailey. Where would they get something like that?" rowan asked stinger

" Picture it like this. It's like craigslist in the deep web. It's way easier than you think. You can do anything. The zoo is throwing one of their party animal Rager sometime soon. There's buzz about it on the site. I guess they text the time and address the night of kind of thinking about going. Little bee looking to sting. Hey Rowan whens your sister get out" stinger said and they watched hailey run in

" Hey hailey where have you been I've called and text you, like 1000 times. Have you gotten any of my messages?" rowan asked

"yeah, that's Why I'm here. What?" hailey said

" Sean had the pig mask in his locker" rowan stated

" Hey guys come here. This is why I called you over King cobra left the website he's creating his own now he went underground. He's in the onion now" stinger stated but rowan looked confused

"the dark web" elisia said with val

" It's like the normal Web but totally hidden anonymous and you need special software to enter the sites. I'm accessing the site with a tor, but only creepy Crawley ass people are down there. Shit just got real" stinger said and val held rowan's hand as well as elisias

they brought the little bit of comfort she needed
