Chapter Six
From Milo

3rd Person POV

(TW: EMETOPHOBIA)

val sighed as she set up and turned her alarm off. she picked up her phone and there she saw a text that she never prepared to see

"from milo" she read a lot before she got up out of bed and ran to the bathroom and emptied out what little of food she had in her stomach. she wiped her mouth as she laid back against the tub and sighed

she hated this, why was she so scared? she was the one that put him in the hospital , she was the one that broke his nose and almost killed him

she stared at the ceiling before she got a text and she picked it up

"i'm here" the text said and val sighed as she got up , flushed the toilet and walked to the front door

"come in" val said to rowan as she walked in and looked at val

"are you okay?" rowan asked and val shook her head as she sat down and pulled her phone out of her pocket , she showed it to rowan and watched her eyes widen

"this is the um the ex right?" rowan asked , she didn't know how to ask val

"yeah yeah that's him" val breathed out and rowan rubbed her back

"what does he want?" rowan questioned and val shrugged again

"i don't know row, i thought that this was over. i almost killed him, he did something and i almost murdered him but now? now he's back and i don't know what to do" val ranted and rowan nodded along

"don't answer it, ignore it. ignore him" rowan said and val nodded

"we have to go don't we?" val exclaimed and rowan nodded

"yeah" rowan exclaimed

"alright i have to get dressed but i'll be back down in a second" she said and she walked upstairs and into her room. she left her phone downstairs as she changed her clothes and then left her room

she grabbed her bag and she walked back downstairs

"ready?" rowan asked

"yeah let's go" val said and she locked the front door as they left. they separated and val walked to the bathroom. she walked in to be met with elisia being bullied and she scoffed

"hey do you have nothing better to do to with your life?" val asked and they turned to her

"freak" she called to elisia

"bitch" val said and she walked out of the bathroom following after her

"hey are you okay? they're assholes anyways" val said and elisia shrugged in response

"people do that all the time, i'm used to it" elisia said and val sighed

"you shouldn't be, i'll see you after school right?" she asked and elisia nodded

"meet me out front" elisia exclaimed and val nodded

-TIME SKIP-

val walked out of the school and she looked around for elisia but she saw rowan talking to trevor, brandon and sean

"honestly, you spend so much of your time trying to make me miserable. why don't you just print out a flier, give it to the whole school , tell them what you think of me" rowan stated

"are you prehistoric? we call that twitter" trevor retorted

"i think you're the prehistoric one, with your dumbass bullying and jokes" val stepped in

"oh val i heard what happened at your last school, i feel bad for your ex boyfriend" trevor said and val scoffed

"yeah me too i beat him so bad he ended up in the hospital, want to see the pictures? no? run along" she said and trevor looked at them before he walked over with brandon and sean to the truck

"thanks for that" rowan said and val smiled at her

"anytime, he's a bitch anyway" she said and rowan agreed as elisia walked towards them

"val you ready?" she asked and val nodded as elisia leaned in and kissed rowan softly and grabbed val's hand

"hey i'm going to stingers with hailey, we'll tell you what we find out" rowan said and elisia nodded with val before rowan kissed val's cheek and smiled as val's reaction

"let's go" val said and she held elisia hand as they walked to her house and val unlocked the door

"thanks for defending rowan, you don't care what people know about you and milo do you?" she asked and val shrugged

"he did some shit elisia, if people know, they know and i can't do anything about that" she exclaimed and elisia nodded as they sat on the couch and val walked over to her moms record player

she pulled out hozier and put it on low as they sat down and val
looked at elisia

"so we've talked about my family, what about yours?" she asked as she held her notebook and elisia shrugged

"well everyone knows that my mom and dad died in a house fire when i was 13 and since then, all i've had is jake. he's my cousin who's in the police academy" elisia said and val wrote down what she heard

"i'm sorry that's horrible" val said and she stopped writing

"i mean we all have trauma, it's just not what everyone thinks" she said and val agreed

"i didn't tell you why i did what i did to milo did i?" she asked and elisia shook her head

"you don't have to" elisia tried but val stopped her

"if anyone knows at this school i want it to be you and rowan. this rhino person knows and they are going to use it against me may as well get it out there" she said and elisia nodded

"milo was my boyfriend, it was the perfect situation. he was the quarterback, i was the weirdo. people hated me for being polyamorous and so they didn't understand why he was with me. one night at a party, he gave me a drink and i didn't drink it, i pretended to. 1 hour later, he led me up to a room but there was a balcony. there was three girls on the balcony, he locked  them out before he threw me on the bed and tried to remove my shirt . he got my pants but i attacked him. i punched him so much that i broke his nose and i kept going.i put him in the hospital and at some point, his parents wanted to press charges . i had to run" val stated and elisia sighed as she pulled val into her arms and held her closely

"thank you for telling me" elisia whispered

"thank you for listening" val whispered back and she looked up at elisia as elisia looked down at her and they leaned in. their lips connected for a second before they pulled away and val lifted her hand to brush the strand out of elisias eyes

they leaned in again and elisia kissed her again as she wrapped her arms around her and they held each other close

"rowan won't be mad right?" val whispered and elisia nodded

"she wouldn't be" elisia spoke back as they continued with smiles on their face.

they were comfortable and happy but how would they tell rowan about this? they just had to rip off the bandaid like anyone would

would it be that easy though?
