Chris and Dante - The Bahamas
A/N This won't make much sense unless you're reading Teaching Adam. But a short re-cap might help you. Chris and Dante join Cameron and Adam on a vacation to the Bahamas, or rather, Chris basically forces Adam there to get away from Adam's boyfriend, Gabriel.
And, before you get really excited and then disappointed. The scene isn't explicit, just loving :)
I sank down into the soft bed, looking up at the whirring fan above us, listening to the crickets who sang outside, and the sea lapping against the shore.
Dante exited the small bathroom, freshly showered with nothing but a towel around his waist. He looked mouth-watering, as always. The sun had tanned him nicely, although I didn't seem to have a preference when it came to the color of his skin. He was always perfect.
I patted the bed. "Saved this spot just for you."
He grinned. "Sure you did." Despite the sarcastic response, he laid down beside me, joining me to stare up at the plain ceiling.
"I'm still worried about Adam," I said after a while, thinking about the progress we had made during our week in The Bahamas, but also the possibility that it would all be for nothing when we got back to the U.S.
"He's a lot stronger than you think," Dante replied.
"You really believe that?"
"Yes. But, I've never met his boyfriend, so what do I know?"
"Don't call that bastard his boyfriend."
Dante shook his head, his wet tresses spreading droplets all over the bed and me. "Adam decides if Gabriel is his boyfriend or not."
I sighed. "You're right."
"I know you don't like the guy, and I understand why considering that Adam was practically black and blue when we got here, but if we don't let Adam handle this in his own way, we're telling him that he's not capable--which won't really help his confidence."
"I hate when you make sense."
Dante laughed. "You love it."
I let myself sink into the transformed atmosphere. We needed less tragic, not more. "You're right. I love it." I turned my head and placed a kiss on his lips, savoring the touch I knew would linger with me for weeks after he waved goodbye.
It became harder and harder to see him leave for another concert or small tour, never staying by my side for more than a few days at a time. This vacation was the longest we had spent together since last summer when we traveled around Europe. It wasn't fair, but I would take anything I could get with this man.
"Some focus, please," he said.
I blushed at his words, knowing fully well that my mind had wandered too far. If moments like these came seldom, it was all the more important to make them count.
Our kiss deepened, his fingers slipping beneath my shirt.
"Do you think he's with Cameron now?"
Dante groaned. "Chris. I'm all for helping your friend, but right now I want my boyfriend, not Adam's friend."
"Can't I be both?"
He rolled his eyes, took my hand and placed it on his crotch.
I chuckled, knowing that he wasn't angry with me, merely frustrated. "Fine, I'll be your boyfriend."
"But yes, since you mentioned it, I do think he's with Cameron."
"They're cute together."
"We're cute together," Dante teased.
"Damn, we're conceited. And we're not talking about us, we're talking about them."
Dante's hand sneaked beneath my shirt, letting it ride up along my stomach. He flicked my nipple. "But I'm talking about us." His tone was suggestive.
"Really? We're going to talk?" I teased, knowing he had other plans.
"Ever heard of 'letting our bodies talk'?"
I let out another chuckle, not yet entirely convinced by his attempts at flirting. "Is that really a thing?"
"It is now." He captured my lower lip between his teeth, tugging lightly.
Instead of replying, a moan slipped up from my throat. It was time to leave all other thoughts behind and cherish this last night together with my boyfriend. No one knew when we would find time for each other again. It could be a month from now, it could be five.
"I will miss you," I said, not able to keep the pure longing away from my voice. I knew he disliked when I made my feelings about or separation known, not because he didn't feel the same, but because he felt guilty.
"I'll miss you, too." He punctuated each word with a kiss, every single one more desperate than the last.
My movements grew feverish, seeking, asking for more, almost begging.
He tugged at my shorts, opening one button after the other. "And I'll miss touching you."
I could barely breathe, aroused not only by his sure touch, but also by his words affirming how much he wanted me.
My fingers tangled in his hair, tugging and pulling, telling him what my words failed to express. I needed him.
Another kiss caressed my skin, traveling lower and lower down my torso.
"Are you marking me with those damn hickeys again?" I asked, finding it difficult to pronounce the simple words.
My boyfriend chuckled. "No. But I can. Maybe I should. It'll tell everyone to stay away."
"So possessive."
He bit me in reply, not hard, but definitely with enough sting for me to arch my back from the mattress.
"Tell me you're mine," he said, but I could hear the trace of laughter in his voice.
"You've read too many werewolf stories," I replied, gasping when he bit me again.
"I never joke about how much I love you," he said, narrowing his eyes even as a smile played on his lips. The joke was still there, but not in the words. Those were true, I could feel it.
"I know."
He fell down on my chest, demanding a kiss with everything he had. It set me ablaze with fiery lust that had no intention of reining in.
Touches grew fervent, breaths rushed. I panted beneath him as our limbs tangled. He was reminding me of all the reasons why my body ached for his. He made me forget about the months spent apart. None of that mattered when we were together.
When he took me to the edge and beyond, all I could do was chant his name over and over again. It was as if he knew how much I needed this last moment imprinted on my body and soul before he let me go.
He took me to the surface by a sweet kiss, one on each eye.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Yes."
"I think you have to come with me on the tour this summer. I don't want to spend more time apart."
My spent body managed another fluttering sensation. I hadn't known how much I longed to hear those words until he voiced them.
"I'll come with you. Someone has to keep tabs on you."
He chuckled, letting the vibrations push me deeper into the comfortable mattress. My hands ran along his back, trying to memorize every nook and cranny.
"Good. Otherwise I would have kidnapped you."
"Still possessive."
"I can claim that you were the first to kidnap someone, though."
I closed my eyes, feeling far too emotional to talk about Adam again. "I did it for his sake."
A kiss stole the last sound from my lips. "I know you did. And, I think you did the right thing. You'll just have to trust him to make the best of it when you all get back."
"I'll be watching him like a hawk."
Dante arched his eyebrow. "I'm not sure he'll enjoy that."
"I know. But, I can't sit back and do nothing when I know he's in danger."
"Fair point, just give the guy some space to heal as well."
"Alright. I'll try."
Another sweet touch of his lips against mine. "That's all I ask."
"You don't want to ask me anything else?" I teased, knowing that he would scowl. It was a standing joke between us. Dante had no intention of marrying me yet, but that didn't stop me from dropping hints every now and then. Mostly for fun, though. I wasn't ready, either.
"You're hopeless," he replied, shaking his head.
"You love it."
"No, I love you, that's different."
I smiled, feeling the power of those simple words lace around my heart and make it stronger. "I love you, too."
"We're being mushy."
"I know."
"We should stop."
"Why?" I asked.
He captured my earlobe with his teeth, before whispering, "Because my inner wolf just can't take it."
We both burst out laughing, sharing the same air and the same space for one more night before we had to say goodbye. It was a night to treasure.

I always miss Dante...cause he's suave like that (see gif). BTW, about going on tour, that's not an announcement about a new story about Chris and Dante. Nothing further about them is planned, but you'll get one story with Tom at least, just have to finish Teaching Adam first.<3
