Luke sat in his chair quietly in his preschool as they gave the roses out. All the girls soon flocked to Luke, and one after one gave he their rose. Luke stared at them, and then to the sixteen roses on his desk. All sixteen girls ten waited to see which lucky girl would receive Luke's rose.

"Um, thank you." Luke said as he placed his rose into his backpack on the back of his chair.

"Aren't you going to give the rose to one of us?" A girl asked as some began to tear up.

"No." Luke said as the teacher, Miss. June, stood behind the girls.

"Than I want my rose back!" One screamed reaching for her rose.

"Girls, you know the rules." Miss June said from behind them. "Once you give someone a flower, you cannot take it back. It doesn't matter if you don't receive one in return. Now please take your seats." Miss. June continued.

All the girls took their seats as some clutched their fists, and others cried. They began to work on a colors worksheet until an announcement came over the intercom.

"Miss June, Maddox Irwin, Maverick Irwin, Mika Irwin, and Luke Hemmings are checking out."

Miss. June thanked her before the three boys and girl began to gather their things and walk out the door. Luke was the first to arrive at the office. He noticed his mother was speaking to the girl at the front desk. He almost walked towards them when he felt a small hand grab the arm of his jacket. Luke turned around, and came face to face with a small boy with bright eyes.

"You're cute." The small boy said holding on to his jacket.

Luke smiled as he looked into the boys doe eyes. He had chestnut hair, and beautiful hazel eyes. The boy had a big smile, too.

"You're cute, too." Luke said smiling at the boy. "Want something?" Luke added smiling.

The boy nodded as Luke took his backpack off, and took his rose out.

"Here." Luke said as he held the rose out to the boy.

"For me?" The other boy questioned taking the rose.

"Of course, a pretty rose for a pretty boy." Luke said with a wide smile.

"Luke, let's go!" Luke's mother called as he stood at the exit.

"Goodbye." Luke waved to the boy as he ran to the door as the other boy waved back.

Little does Luke know that this wasn't even close to goodbye.
