Valentine's Day
DON'T WORRY. THERE ARE NO GROWN-UP SCENES IN THIS ONE-SHOT. DANNY ISN'T IMPLYING WHAT YOU THINK HE'S IMPLYING. I PROMISE YOU, THERE ARE NO INAPPROPRIATE THINGS ON HERE OR ANYTHING ELSE I WRITE. NO PROMISES FOR "THE SLYTHERIN", BUT I SWEAR I CENSOR EVERYTHING OUTSIDE OF THAT.
Ivy was walking around the hallway of her school. It was the day before Valentine's Day, and she was the only one in her circle of friends who didn't have a date for it yet. She was late for lunch on purpose, needing some time alone.
"Ivy." A male voice shouted from down the hall. She turned to see Danny Jike, a jock on the football team.
"Hey." She responded nervously.
"Look, I've loved you for a long time and would really appreciate it if you became my Valentine." Danny rushed, color coming to his pale face.
Ivy shrugged. "Sure thing!"
"Great." He said, rubbing his neck. "So... um... see you tomorrow, Jike."
THE NEXT DAY
Ivy and Danny held hands going up the stairs to the Valentine's party. Smiling wide, she stuffed a brownie in his mouth. He chuckled and ate it.
Things progressed. Ivy noticed that as night came on, Danny kept acting stranger and stranger, wanting to be around her at every opportunity. If he wasn't now her boyfriend, she would have accused him of stalking her.
"Hey, babe." He whispered. "Wanna go... you know... into the hallway?"
Ivy caught the suggestion in his voice and nodded eagerly, entranced by the spell his voice seemed to be putting on her and the social times but a rush to her head. Completely trusting him, she following Danny to the hallway, where he promptly shoved her against the wall and looked at her.
"Remember when I said I loved you earlier, Ivy?" He growled, sending shots of fear down her spine. She struggled, but his strength was almost... inhuman.
"Well, I don't." He told her with a small smirk. "What I feel? It's lust.. for your blood." His eyes turned a shade of dark red, and a toothy smile revealed sharp teeth.
Ivy's scream penetrated the dance building, but by the time someone located her, she was already dead and Danny was long gone.
Moral of the story? Hm... don't date shady jocks named Danny in your sophomore year of high school who randomly approaches you the day before Valentine's Day with the statement "I've loved you for a long time"? Seems legit. Carry on with your life.
