The Vampires part 2
Welcome back everyone to the vampires part 2. Who am I you might ask? Why I'm the narrator. Don't be afraid of me don't *bite*. Haha. Anyways when we last left the Vacktor family the *stakes* were high. It appears almost everyone had been turned into vampires. Unfortunately they seem to view this change as a *pain in the neck* and who can blame them? Eating garlic bread is amazing but for now it seems like they're *coffin* Okay okay let's get on with our *fangtastic* story
"Can we go now we aren't hungry?" Magenta asked.
Their mom sighed. She tried to bring home a nice lunch and none of her children wanted to eat, except for Gray. "Alright." She said. Everyone got up as quickly as possible it was awkward and strange. It was like they were trying to run away from the meal. Gray was the only child left. "Gray do you know what's going on?" Her mother asked.
"That's what I'm trying to find out." Gray said.
"And what's with their sunglasses is this some new fashion trend?" Her mom asked. Asking Gray about trends was liking asking Barney to stop loving dirt.
"You know I don't keep up on things like that." Gray replied. Gray had better things to do than talk about which new makeup trend was all the rage, and she found subjects like this to be boring.
"Do you think I should check on them? They seem to different, and they used to love Italian food." Her mom questioned.
"I think it may be better if I do so. They may be hiding something from you." Gray replied.
"That's what worries me." Her mom said. Miss Vacktor really wanted to be a good mom she just never knew if she was doing a good job. She tried her hardest honestly, but sometimes her hardest wasn't enough. She could never get Blue out of his depressive state, or manage to help her kids make friends, and often she felt like a failure parent because of all of the problems her kids went through that she couldn't fix. Not to mention she's in between jobs at the moment things with Doogle didn't work out so to speak. "If they're hiding something I want to help them, and let them know they can come talk to me about anything." She said.
"They may not want to inconvince you or they may not know how to come to you." Gray replied. Honestly Gray figured it would be better if she was the one who talked to her siblings. There were some things that adults didn't need to know. And Gray had a feeling this was one of them.
Her mother sighed. "I guess it might be better if you talk to them. You are their sister, and I have be out of touch with the kids these days. Besides its natural for kids to keep this from their parents." She said. Natural there's that word again. Nothing is this family was natural, being born in a labatory in a giant tube or being built wasn't "natural." Perhaps keeping things a secret from their mom was a way for the kids to be normal. At least that's what one of Iridessa's parenting magizine said.
It's natural for kids to have secrets between the them and their siblings the magizine said. That magizine helped Iridessa with a lot. However she never managed to find an article about your kids having tails and super powers, but you never know that could be featured in next month's addition.
Gray squinted her eyes in supiousion. "Are you thinking about your parenting magizine again?" She asked.
"Yes." Iridessa replied embrassed she was so easy to read.
"May I be excused to check on them now mother?" Gray asked. Iridessa nodded, and Gray slowly stood up from the table to find them.
After Gray left Iridessa continued to eat the rest of the takeout. There was no way she was letting all this food go to waist.
Out in the hallway
"Do you think they noticed?" Orange asked. Pink rolled her eyes and took off her sunglasses, the others followed her lead and did the same.
"It's pretty obvious we weren't acting like ourselves Orange. I'm sure they noticed something was up and it certainly doesn't help that we have to wear sunglasses." She replied.
"We could try wearing contacts." Green suggested.
"Um no we really can't mom tired to get us to wear contacts when we were younger to cover up our weird eye colors, but they didn't really work out that well since they kept making our eyes itchy. Did you forget that?" Pink asked.
"I have green eyes, not pink or purple eyes." Green replied.
"True." Pink replied.
"Ugh!" Red said.
"What?" Purple asked.
"I forgot Barney's going to come over to hang out." Red said. Oh great if Barney comes over tomorrow he'll know for sure somethings up.
"You mean to play right?" Purple asked. Red made a face. Why did Purple have to try and get under Red's skin like that? It honestly annoyed Red when he did that stuff, and when Red did it to Purple it annoyed him as well. Guess that's what siblings do.
"Purple. No one plays anymore once you get to sixth, and seventh grade paying is a thing of the past. Barney is simply coming over to hang out." Red said.
"Yes, but you plan of playing video games, and cars. I've never heard anyone say we're going to hang videos games." Purple replied. Checkmate.
"Whatever." Red replied.
"If Barney comes over here that could cause a lot of trouble." Green said.
"Who cares?" Yellow yelled angrily. The light heartness from his eyes disappeared. Everyone turned to look at him.
"Y..yellow?" Magenta asked trying to set a hand on his shoulder. Yellow shaked her hand off of him.
"Who cares. That's what I said. Why did I say it? Oh because nothing matters." Yellow replied. Yellow's optimistic personality turned quickly into a sour and pessimistic personality that was honestly very scary to see.
"I care." Magenta replied softly.
"Well you shouldn't. Caring only ends you getting you hurt." Yellow replied.
"Yellow. You aren't your usual happy self.." Magenta said getting cut off by Yellow.
"Cause I'm not some emotion. And what our emotions anyways just chemical processes in the brain. All happiness is, is dopamine, endorphins, serotonin, and oxytocin." Yellow replied.
"Yellow your a robot you don't have a "brain."" Pink said.
"You think I don't know that? That's all the more reason to not be happy!" Yellow exclaimed. Everyone looked at him. "You know what let's just get out of this hallway it's too colorful for me." He said.
They put their sunglasses back on.
As they turned the corner Gray stood there. "Greetings." She said. Orange jumped back a bit in fear, and everyone appeared to be freightned. Gray couldn't help, but smirk. "I see your a bit jumpy today aren't you brother?" She asked, her voice sounded manipulative and evil.
"Heh..yeah I guess we are right now." Orange said with a nervous chuckle.
"Almost as if your hiding something?" Gray asked.
"U..us. Not..hing." Orange replied as he gulped nervously.
"Then why are you stuttering?" Gray questioned.
"W..well I uh..." Orange said trying to come up with something. The rest of the siblings kept rolling their eyes and sighing in frustration at Orange's inability to come up with a good excuse. Orange was an improv genius who could come up with anything on the spot and make it look believeable yet now when he had to lie in front of his sibling he failed. "I'm kinda nervous about the upcoming math test." He said. Gray remained silent for a moment considering his words carefully and then Gray shook her head. Did he really believe shed fall for that?
"Brother your act doesn't work on me." Gray replied looking straight into wear his eyes would be if they weren't covered by his sunglasses. Gray got bored with Orange taking so long to answer that she pulled something sharp out of her pocket and started sharpening it. "I..is that a knife?" Orange asked.
"Oh my!" Magenta said as she put her hand over her heart. She frowned when she realized it wasn't beating.
"Why yes this is a knife. A fine instrument for for many things." Gray said.
"W..what kind of things?" Orange asked nervously. If it was possible for vampires to sweat he'd be pursuing buckets of it right now.
"Oh you know the usual, spreading jam, cutting cake, chopping vegetables, and of course taking care of business." She replied. As soon as the words left her lips Orange and the other Vacktors visibly tensed up.
"What is that business exactly?" Orange asked.
"Killing things that must be killed." Gray replied with no expression, and a monotone sounding voice.
"What kind of things?" Orange asked.
"Can I hold it?" Yellow asked. Gray was taken back by Yeloow's interest in the knife that she wasn't able to answer.
"Uh..yeah sure." Gray said as she held out the knife to Yellow. She was flabbergasted at Yellow's interest in her knife. Yellow took hold of it watching it twinkle as he flipped it around under the lights, a smile appeared on his face. It wasn't his usual I'm happy smile it was more of having a dark though smile.
"It's a nice knife. Made of real silver, and kept in good condition. However, it could use a polishing I could help with that if you needed." Yellow said.
"Um...yeah sure." Gray replied. The siblings weren't sure which was scarier Gray losing her clam, and poised manner finding herself at a lose for words or Yellow playing with a knife. Honestly, both sights concerned the siblings greatly.
"Alright then." Yellow replied as he put the knife in his pocket. "We have things to do, but I'll get this knife back to you soon." Yellow said, and with that he walked off. The others stood there for a few moments trying to process what just happened. Yellow's gone emo or he's turning into a serial killer, Gray probably already is a serial killer and she got her weapon snatched by Yellow who managed to reduce Gray into nothing, but a broken record that just keeps stammering. Gray and her siblings looked at each other before Red figured it might be a good idea to follow Yellow.
"Great acting back there Yellow you really saved us." Orange said as he caught up with Yellow.
"I wasn't acting Orange." Yellow replied.
"Wait so your turning emo?" Orange asked his brow raised in confusion and uncertainty.
"People like you never understand." Was Yellow's reply. And Yellow was right Orange didn't understand, he didn't even understand what he didn't understand. (Sounds like most math classes)
"Alright let's address the first order of business. Barney will be here in how long?" Yellow asked.
"Uh.." Red replied still shocked by everything that just happened with Yellow and Gray. Yellow snapped his fingers.
"Oh come on we'd don't have all day to figure out a plan, and figure out how to change us back to normal if even possible though very slim." Yellow said.
"He's coming over in two hours to hang out." Red replied.
"Okay so in two hours we either need to figure out how to stop being vampires or we could stop being idiots and call Barney and say we have to cancel." Yellow replied. Everyone looked kindsembarrassed that they didn't think of that before. "I can tell by your faces no one even thought of calling Barney and telling him something came up." Yellow said.
"I'm gonna go call Barney be right back." Red said as he ran out the room. Green chased after him.
"What's up Green?" Red asked.
"Do you think this has anything to do with the books or the Old Man?" Green asked.
"Uh you know I haven't exactly crossed that possibility out yet." Red said thinking.
"Should we ask him?" Green asked.
"What? No way. If we talk to the Old Man then he'll probably tell Barney, and you know how easily scared Barney can be at times." Red said.
"Red think about it we might not have any other choice." Green said. Red knew Green had a point however, he wasn't willing to let his siblings know they've been hunting monsters behind their backs.
"Lets just take some time to think this through. I need to call Barney before he leaves his house and starts walking over here." Red said. Green sighed knowing what Red was doing, but he knew that if Barney managed to come over here trouble would start for everyone.
Red picked up the phone and nervously dialed up Barney's number. "Come on come on pick up." Red said to himself After a couple of rings he finally picked up.
"Hellos?" Barney asked. Red smiled and then prepared himself to talk to Barney.
From the other room where the siblings were waiting.
"Look while we're stuck this way we might as well have fun." Orange said as he made this 😏😏 face. (Hopefully the emoji shows up)
"I..I d..don't l..like that f..f..face." Blue said.
"Do you like this face better?" Orange asked as he made this 😜 Face.
"N..no." Blue said. Orange sighed. Everyone loved Orange's crazy party time face.
"Look we're vampires. Vampires have all sorts of cool powers. I mean we briefly saw super speed and super strength in action so why don't we see what else we can do?" Orange said.
"Why bother? Playing around with your powers is stupid." Yellow said.
"Okay we'll I'm sorry that your turning into Green when he's in a mood, but I think we'd all benefit from having a lot fun around here, besides practice makes perfect!" Orange said.
Orange stood there for a few minutes closing his eyes. "What are you doing?" Pink asked.
Orange opened one eye to look at Pink then quickly closed it. "Concentrating." He replied.
"On what?" She asked.
"Shush! I just gotta focus." Orange said. Suddenly Orange (I've been using capitals for color names so often it won't let me lower case Orange) Suddenly Orange mist surrounded him getting everyone's attention including Yellow. When the mist cleared there was now a brownish colored bat floating in mid air. "See I'm a bat now." Orange said with a squeaky voice. Green laughed. Orange dashed on over to him. "You think my voice sounds funny?" Orange asked he got up in Green's face.
"No I think you sound like Yellow." Green replied.
Yellow looked up. "Having a "cute" voice means no one will suspect you of committing a murder." He replied. Green looked nervous then stopped laughing.
"Anyways you guys should try turning into bats." Orange said.
Purple stood up and with ease as a purple most formed around him and he transformed into a dark black bat. "See look Purple's got the hang of it!" Orange said squeaking with delight as he did a backflip in midair.
"That was surprisingly easy." Purple said as he started flying around.
"You two are so cute!" Pink said. Orange flew close next to Purple and hugged him with his large bat wings. Purple sighed and excepted his fate of being hugged. "That's even cuter!" Pink squealed.
"Are you going to stop hugging me now?" Purple asked.
"No you never let anyone touch you! So I've got to savor in the moment." Orange said with a giant smile.
"So you turned into bats that's not very impressive." Yellow said.
"Hey I haven't seen you turn into a bat yet!" Orange said.
Yellow rolled his eyes. "That's because it's easy and stupid." He said.
"Stop being so grumpy!" Orange said.
"No, you guys are acting like annoying little children." Yellow said.
"Dude you always act like an annoying little child. Never shutting up, always smiling and laughing, talking about rainbows, and flowers." Orange said.
"You mean I used too." Yellow said.
"Whatever!" Orange replied.
Blu sat quietly as he watched Purple fly around the room. Purple turned and realized Blue was staring at him. Blue slowly stood up from his seat and walked over to Purple and stroked him. Purple looked confused at first. Blue hugged bat Purple and started petting his ears. "Hes r..really soft." Blue said with a slight smile.
"I'm not cute I'm a creature of the night!" Purple exclaimed.
"We're a..all vamp..pires, s..oo y...you a..aren't that sca..scary." Blue replied.
"Then why do you keep stuttering?" Purple asked.
"B..blue c..can't help it. H..he al..ways stu..stutters." Blue replied.
"You didn't always talk like that you know." Purple said.
"Th..that's bec..because p..people d...didn't m..m..make fu..fu..n of m..me as a..a b..baby." Blue said.
While Blue continued hugging bat Purple, and bat Orange and Yellow bickered Green noticed Magenta sitting all by herself.
"Magenta you've been awfully quite?" Green asked as he walked over to her.
"I'm surprised your checking on me Green. I..I just don't like this you know?" She asked him. Her expression was full of pain and suffering. Green sat down next to her.
"Yeah I don't really either." Green said. Too be honest Green would have loved turning into a myhtilogical creature, if of course that creature was a werewolf. Being a vampire just wasn't his style, and he could understand why Magenta was so fearful and disgusted with herself.
"I just really don't want to become a monster, or drink b..blood." Magenta said.
"Magenta your never gonna turn into a monster, we'll get trough this together. You're way too sweet to every be evil." Green said.
"Thanks Green." Magenta replied as she hugged him. Green tensed up a bit, but accreted the hug anyways. A rare moment when Green shows how much he actually cares about people.
"HISSS!" Yellow screamed as he bared his fangs at Orange. Orange started flying around in the air as Yellow swatted him.
"Anyways Barney I.." Red said. A loud hissing sound followed by people screaming could be heard on Red's end of the line.
"What's is thats?" Barney asked.
"BLEH!" Yellow screamed.
"Uh...nothing." Red replied.
Soon a crashing sound could be heard from the background. "WHAT THE HECK?" Pink yelled.
"Reds I donts knows what's goings on, buts I'm goannas comes over anyways." Barney replied.
"What? Barney no I told you everything's fine!" Red replied. As one of the bats started hissing in the background.
"I donts believes yous." Barney replied and with that he hung up.
Red hung up the phone walked back into the room and turned to face his siblings. "Well, good news. Barney is coming over anyways because he heard you all making noise in the background and thinks we're lying to him." Red said.
"We are lying to him." Pink said.
"I know that!" Red yelled. "Guys this is really bad." Red said.
"Bleh bleh bleh." Yellow replied.
"Enough Dracula. Just ugh! You guys can't even be quite for five minutes!" Red said. Red was beyond annoyed with his siblings, how would they hide being vampires from Barney? Barney knew a lot about supernatural creatures from all those books The Old Man had. There's no way they would be able to hide this.
"Red." Purple said placing a hand on his shoulder. Red looked up. "I'll go see if I can find anything on vampires you guys try to vampire proof the house, close the windows, and any places where light may come in." Purple said.
"Thanks." Red replied. He was glad someone was helping him instead of freaking out or being annoying.
Purple went off to research vampires on the computer.
I the course of an hour or so a lot went downhill. Everyone started acting different and they all decided to wear black and blood red.
Barney finally arrived and walked into their house.
What did Barney walk into to? All the lights in the room were off. In the corner Red was playing the organ and wearing a long black cape. Yellow looked frustrated wearing all black including guyliner.
Barney turned to look behind him for a half a second then turned back and saw Red right in his face. It scared Barney so much he almost had a heart attack. "Barnabe." Red said with a smile. His voice sent a chill down his spine. "Oh dear, siblings we've scared our guest." Red said while the others laughed except for Yellow who was busy sharpening a knife against a rock.
"Yellows?" Barney asked fearfully. Yellow turned up to look at him.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" Yellow asked rudely.
"Ares yous sharpening a knives?" Barney asked. Yellow rolled his eyes.
"Um obviously." Yellow said.
"Whys ares yous doings that?" He asked, but Red was in his face again.
"Barnabe. Why don't you sit down here and I'll teach you how to play a song." Red said as he a bed Barney and sat him down.
"Reds whys are yous acting weird? And why ares you dressed like that's?" Barney asked.
"Oh this well we simply decided we were creatures of the dark." Orange replied with a dashing smile. Barney didn't manage to see Orange's fangs.
"Of the darkness? You means likes Gray?" Barney asked.
"I don't see what the problem with this is Barnabe." Magenta said as she stood up from the couch and walked over to Barney. Magenta wore a long blood red and black dress. It looked gothic like something a vampire would wear. Barney searched around the room to find someone who could explain what was going on, but all his friends looked strange and no one seemed confused at all.
Then Barney noticed something odd Pink was laying on the piano. "Hiya Barney." She said winking.
"Um..." Barney questioned. Did Pink like him or something? I mean he sorta liked Pink, but she was acting strange.
"What's wrong? Are you not pleased to see me?" Pink asked, she sounded like she was pretending to be hurt.
"Pinks whys are you dressed like a movies villains?" Barney asked her. Pink looked offended.
"What do you mean?" Pink asked.
"You haves reds eyes, and yours wearing dark bloods reds dress." Barney said.
"We haven't even started dating and you're already criticizing my looks!" Pink complained. Barney's eye was wide in shock.
"Pinks!" He said. Magenta looked at Barney with anger in her eyes.
"You have a problem with the way my sister dresses?" Magenta asked as she walked towards him. She grabbed the knife from Yellow's hand and ignored Yellow's complainants.
"Nos! I donts!" Barney said backing up. Magenta still pursued Barney till his back was against a wall. Barney was really regretting his decision to come over at the moment.
"Good." Magenta replied. She looked at him for a moment pointed her knife right at him and then walked away. "He's all yours Pink." Magenta replied with an evil laugh.
Barney turned to look at the others, but in a flash Pink was in front of him. "Hi Barney." She said. Barney gulped and waved nervously. Pink got closer to Barney she looked like she was either going to bite or kiss him. Blue and Green sat on the couch excited for what Pink was going to do. They didn't know if she was going to kill him or what, but they were excited. Pink drew closer and then.
"What is going on in here?" Purple asked as he walked into the room.
Blue rolled his eyes. "Something finally entertaining." He said.
"What!" Purple yelled.
"Pink was going to kiss her new boyfriend." Magenta said giggling. Purple looked back and forth between Magenta to Pink and Barney.
"And why does Magenta have the knife now?" Purple asked.
"I was just teasing Barnabe over there. It isn't my fault he's a scaredy cat!" Magenta said. Blue and Green burst out laughing when they heard that. Purple narrowed his eyes and scanned the room. From Red playing creepy music, to Orange dancing to it, to Yellow judging everyone, to Blue and Green laughing like hyenas and Pink and Magenta trying to either kiss or kill Barney.
"Barney we'll be right back. I just need to talk to them about something important." And with that Purple grabbed Pink and Magenta's hands and led them out of the room. The others decided to follow them.
"What was that all about?" Purple demanded. Blue sighed.
"I was finally having fun and you ruined it." Blue said angrily as he took a seat on the chair.
"Yeah Pink was totally going to kill Barney." Green replied.
"Look this is what I was worried about, the lack of blood in your body is causing yo.." Purple said as he turned to notice Orange mimicking his words in expressions in a mocking tone. Red started joining it.
"Brother please have fun with us!" Red sang. Purple shook his head.
"No! Your all acting crazy!" Purple said.
"You know what's crazy?" Pink asked giggling.
Purple narrowed his eyes again. "What?" He asked. His siblings were seriously testing his patience.
"That you would wear that jacket!" She replied. Everyone laughed.
"You got roasted!" Green said. Blue laughed so hard he feel back.
"I'm fine!" Blue called out and everyone laughed even harder.
Purple felt angry building up in him. "EVERYONE JUST SHUT UP!" He screamed. Finally he had all eyes on him. Everyone claimed down and listened. "First off give me that knife. I'll be holding onto this from now on!" Purple said as he snatched the knife right out of Magenta's hand.
"Look this is extremely important. The lack of blood is causing us to change." Purple said.
"Change?" Red questioned.
Purple was happy no one made any stupid jokes. "Yes, change. See since we weren't born as vampires the lack of blood in our bodies affects us in many different ways. A person who was born a vampire will have learned to control their egress and desires. It can change a person's personality or it can reinforce ones emotions making them stronger than ever." Purple said.
"Then why are you fine? You haven't had any blood?" Yellow questioned.
"I don't know." Purple said. Yellow looked at him suspiciously, but let Purple continue.
"The point is we need blood fast, and luckily for me I have some animal blood in cups for you." Purple said as he pulled out several styrofoam cups.
"But human blood would be so much more tasty!" Pink whined.
"Oh just be grateful your getting some blood, and stop acting like a spoiled brat!" Yellow said.
Pink started crying. "Yellows being so mean to me!" She said. Yellow stood up and walked over to Pink. He opened her mouth up and poured the cup of liquid down it. Everyone took a cup and drank the blood. They all seemed a bit reluctant at first, but when they saw Purple's glare face they needed it would be for the best to drink it. Despite the fact that they all seemed disgusted by the blood they all managed to drink it down.
"It should hopefully start working in a few minutes. We should give it time to go through the body." Purple said. In a few minutes they started acting more like themselves.
"Can we go back to see Barnabe now?" Magenta asked sadly.
"I don't think the blood has fully reached your systems yet, but I guess your safe enough to be around him." Purple said. Magenta smiled happily. And everyone happily got up.
"One more thing if I see anything I don't like I'm sending Barney home and forcing you all to drink an entire cow each!" Purple said. Everyone let out small whines.
"My apologizes Barney we've got everything worked out." Purple said.
"T..that's f..fines." Barney replied shaking nervously.
"Do you wanna play a board game we've got a lot of games that are good for teams?" Orange asked.
"Bored games are boring." Yellow replied still being moody.
"No one asked you." Purple said glaring at Yellow.
"Um sure." Barney replied awkwardly. That whole attack or whatever it was still had him shooked up.
Eventually once they started playing their game Barney and the others seemed to slowly go back to normal.
Barney had trouble reading his card. His teammate Red seemed to have no trouble, but the lack of proper lighting was hurting his eyes.
"I'm gonna opens the windows it's darks in heres." Barney said as he walked over to the curtains.
"Don't do that Barnabe." Magenta pleaded.
"We don't like the light." Green replied.
"Whats?" Barney asked.
"We really don't like the light." Yellow said whimpering sadly. Yellow not liking sunlight? What was going on. If Barney knew anything about Yellow it was that Yellow loved sunlight. Every morning Yellow would thank the sun for existing. Loudly. And Barney's spent quite a few mornings in the Vacktor house. Barney started to wonder if Yellow was deprived of sunlight. In would explain everyone's pale skin.
Barney took another step closer to the curtains and realized they were nailed to the window. He tugged on them tightly and managed to pull them off sunlight came pouring into the room. Barney smiled trumimpantly until he smelled something burning. He turned around and saw his friends screaming in agony.
Red had his cape sprawled out to protect his siblings from the sun. Sounds of loud hisses came from everyone.
Barney stood back in horror. He couldn't move, he was frozen by what he saw was happening to his friends. Their eyes, skin, and hair were smoking. He stood still for a couple of minutes as he process why this was occurring and eventually rushed back over to the curtains and tried closing them. It was hard to do. Ripping the nails that held them to the walls were easy, putting the curtains back up was not. Barney tried with every once in his being to close them back up.
Gray entered in. She ran over to Barney and helped him.
The bright sun from the room faded and the Vacktors started to calm down.
Barney and Gray stood there.
"I suppose you two want an expiationation." Red said.
"Yeahs. What's was thats?" Barney asked.
"Well I don't exactly know how to explain this.." Red said.
"You were bit by bats when we went to a cemetery to take pictures for your new photography hobby." Gray said. Everyone's eyes widen the memories were starting to come back.
"That's right that is what happened. We got bit and the next day we woke up as vampires." Red said happily as he finally remembered what happened. Barney took a step back in fear.
"Barney?" Red asked.
"The vampires are legends to drinks bloods of people's, and drinks bloods of animals." Barney said.
"Barney I'm your best friend I'd never hurt you." Red said.
"Actuallys yous my only friends." Barney said. Green felt jealous rise up in him. Best friend? Only friend? What did that make him and his siblings to Barney.
"And what are we to you then?" Green asked.
"Also bests friends." Barney replied nervously as he looked at Green's dark red eyes.
"Nice save." Gray replied.
"Anyways Barney we'd never hurt you, even though we may have tried to kill you like an hour ago." Red said trailing off for a moment. "We'd never hurt you." Red replied as he realized he didn't really have a point anymore. And of course the guilt of never telling Barney about them being mutants that were born in their mom's lab came back to Red, but that guilt started to go away when Barney responded.
"Okays I'll trusts yous as longs as you no drinks goats." Barney replied.
"Deal." Red said with a smile.
Red and the others turned to Gray.
"I knew you are vampires the entire time." Gray said.
"Then why all the.. the stuff?" Magenta asked.
Gray chucked. "I simply just had to scare you. It was delightful to watch you freak out."
"So you aren't a vampire?" Orange asked.
"Obviously." Gray said. Man her brothers were really stupid at times.
"B..but y..you got bit." Blue said. Everyone looked at him. "O..or a..at l..last att..attacked." He said quietly.
Gray glanced away for a second she seemed to be thinking. "I did."
"Then why didn't you get affected?" Green asked.
Gray turned a pained expression on her face. She looked sad, quickly however she changed hher expression and demionor as she realized her siblings were looking at her in a strange and unusual manner to the way they normally looked at her. They looked at her with care, concern, and pain as they saw their sister looking so vulnerable. It made Gray feel happy that they dared for her like this, but she decided it would be better to not say the reason why. "..Its better if you don't know." Gray managed to I say. "I.. just don't.." Gray said. She decided not to finish her sentence. She quickly snapped out of whatever little moment she was having and turned back into her normal self. "We need to find a way to cure you." Gray said.
"I was reading up on some books about vampires." Purple said.
"Good so was I did you find anything?" She asked.
"Yes, we need to change back as soon as possible before midnight or we'll be stuck like this forever." Purple said. No one wanted to be a vampire forever. Finding a cure was now the top priority.
"Forever?" Magenta asked.
"Yes forever." Purple replied sadly.
"We have to change back now! I can't stay stuck like this! I miss the sun! And I hate having to wear black all the time!" Yellow said.
"AHHH! What do we do?" Orange asked.
"Well I think if we make a potion..." Purple said as he looked at Red.
"To the lab?" Red asked.
"To the lab!" Purple replied. Red stood up and swished his cape, as the others followed.
At the lab
"Wows you turns this into a lab?" Barney asked.
"Yeah, it wasn't that hard. Our mom was a scientist for a long time, so she let us do all sorts of scientific stuff down here." Red said.
"That's cools." Barney replied.
"Alright let's get started on making this potion." Red said with a smile. He and Purple worked as hard and as fast as they could to make the porion. After the potion was made Red and Purple held it out victoriously.
"It will turn us back to our original selves." Red said with a smile.
"I..d..d..not know if t..that's bet...ter or not. At lea..least as a v..v..vampire I..I c..c..can't s..see my reflection." Blue said sadly. Blue didn't like having his picture taken or looking at his reflection. People made fun of the Vacktor siblings for being rainbow colored, and that negatively affected everyone's view on their appearance especially Blue since he was very sensitive to things. Yellow wanted to say something to encourage Blue, but he never knew what to say to help people.
"Look there's no way we can stay like this forever. I say we change back now!" Pink said.
"What if we.. What if we decided to not change back.." Purple said biting his lip.
"What?" They all asked.
"I.. Think I kind of like being a vampire." Purple said. Everyone concerned his words carefully.
"What?" They asked again.
"Look I know I should have said something sooner, but this just feels right." Purple said.
"Seriously? What about oh I don't know sunlight?" Green asked.
"I never liked the sun anyways. It always stun my eyes, and made me feel weird." Purple said.
"You'll have to drink blood Purple." Magenta said. Magenta being a vegetarian was disturbed at the idea of her brother having to do that.
"I can drink animal blood, I don't even have to kill the animals that I drink." Purple replied.
"What if someone finds out about you and stakes you?" Magenta asked. She didn't exactly like vampires, but she didn't want her brother to be killed simply for being a creature.
"I'm glad you're concerned, but I'm plenty powerful I can take care of myself." Purple replied.
"Purple, please if you don't drink the potion now you'll be stuck as a vampire for the rest of your life. Sure you might like it now, but what about a year from, now or two, or five, or ten? What if someday you get married? And want to have a child someday? A vampire would probably have trouble having a child with a human. Or if all of us move to places that have a lot of sunny days? Would if you drink the blood of an animal that's sick? Will you get sick? Purple I just don't want anything to happen to you. I love you so much and I just want to make sure your safe and happy." Magenta said with a weak smile. Magenta checked her watch it would be midnight in a couple of minutes.
Purple thought about Magenta's words for a long time. She just wanted to keep him safe and protected. It was really sweet, Magenta was the sweetest one out of the family, and she made many good points. Being a vampire would probably suck in the long run, besides he can barely control the powers he has now how could he control new ones? It would just create something else he'd struggle with adding to eternal darkness lurking inside of him, because of the abilities he already possessed. Magenta was right. "I'll take the potion." Purple said. Purple picked up the formula and drank it down along with the rest of his siblings.
"It feels tingly!" Yellow said with a smile.
"I hope that means it's working." Green said.
"I think it is." Red replied.
Everyone felt relief as they returned back to normal. Their skin and eyes returned to their normal color.
"We're cured!" Magenta said happily. Yellow started jumping up and down hugging everyone.
"Thanks goodnesses. I was reallys scareds of yous." Barney replied.
"Well you don't have to be anymore we're all back to normal." Red replied.
Everyone started cheering and celebrating well all except one.
Purple didn't feel any different. He thought about saying something, but figured it would be best to keep quiet. Everyone was so happy and he didn't want to worry them. Besides Purple didn't look like a vampire, it probably just takes awhile for the potion to fully affect them.
After they all celebrated for a few minutes Red spoke up.
"If you excuse us, Barney, Green, and I have some business to attend too." Red said.
"Which is?" Gray asked.
"Where just gonna take care of those vampire bats." Green said.
(Of course they left so they could return the vampires to the magic books that The Old Man has)
That night Purple locked himself in the bathroom for awhile. He cautiously walked up to the mirror his reflection was there and his eyes were purple, but he still felt unchanged. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was still a vampire...and he wasn't sure what to do. If he still was a vampire it wouldn't be that hard to hide from people right? Purple already hid his ability to mind control people, and his ability to kill things by touching them. Surely this would be no different if that was the case. Purple sat there staring at his reflection for a few minutes. His eyes started to turn a darker color. In shock Purple blinked a couple of times and they returned to their normal color. He was probably just tired, it's been a long day and this whole vampire thing was pretty chaotic. Purple decided to shake the feeling off as rejoined his siblings.
Later when everyone was sitting in the kitchen
"I'm glad that's over." Red replied.
"Yeah that wasn't exactly fun." Pink said.
"I'm just glad you aren't crazily obsessed with Barney anymore." Purple replied. Pink chuckled. It was obvious to her that Purple was jealous.
"Please you're just jealous that no one has a crush on you." Pink said as she rested her hands under her chin.
"Yeah it's probably because he's all tough and angry." Orange said laughing.
"Stop being Creeps you know one day I'll find the girl of my Dreams." Purple huffed.
"Suuure, because you're quite the romantic type." Green said.
"Hey he does have that mysterious vibe going for him." Gray said. Everyone looked at her. "I know about romance tropes even though I hate them." Gray said.
"Haha. That is true I'm sure there is a girl of my Dreams out there for me." Purple said with a smile.
The siblings spent the rest of the night, laughing, and joking forgetting about all they're problems.
The next day
Finally school resumed and everything went back to normal for now. The Vacktors of course apologized to Barney all together for the craziness that endured, but Pink felt a strange feeling in her heart. She needed to personally apologize to Barney for acting so bizarre. Why? Pink didn't know. She just knew she needed too.
Barney was sitting down at a bench reading a book.
Pink quitely and quickly sat down on the bench.
Barney noticed that Pink was there, but said nothing. The two of them just sat in awkward silence for a couple of minutes until Pink decided to stop being a whimp. "Hi." She said. Barney didn't turn around.
"Hellos." He replied.
Then things got awkward again neither of them knew what to say after hello. Pink decided to be the brave one again and spoke up. "I'm...sor.." She said. Barney cut her off as he turned to look at her.
"Pinks its okay.." Barney said this time she cut him off.
Pink stood up. "No it's not okay! I lost control of myself and my emotions!" Pink exclaimed angrily. She couldn't believe she had let something take over her willpower like that. She felt so weak, and Pink hated feeling like that. "I could have killed you or something..." She said sadly as she sat backdown as the anger subsided.
"Yeahs...something." Barney said. They both sat there for a few moments. This time Barney was the first to speak again. "Pinks everyone's has those moments of weaknesses." Barney said. If anyone else had said that to her Pink would've responded sarcastically or said "well I'm not everyone" but for some reason she didn't feel like saying that to Barney, instead she found some sort of comfort in him saying that.
"Strangely enough that made me feel better." Pink said.
"I'm glads." Barney replied with a sincere smile.
"What?" Pink asked.
"Im just glads you ares okays." Barney said.
"So we're good?" Pink asked.
"Yeahs." Barney said. This time it was Pink who had a smile.
"Come on Barney the others are waiting for us." Pink said. Barney stood up and followed over to a table where all the other Vacktors sat.
(Ah this was so long) (sorry if some parts aren't that good)
