That night all of the Vacktors stayed up waiting for Red to return home. He was staying out with Barney pretty late.

"Guys I'm tired I think I need to catch some Zs." Orange said as he yawned. 

"You can't we all need to be up and wait for Red to return home. His life could depend on us." Gray said. 

"We don't even know if Red is alive right now. Barney could have taken him somewhere." Purple said. 

"Why don't we just call the police?" Blue asked shyly. 

"Oh yes. I can see it now. Hello officer our brother whose actually a dinosaur mutant is being captured by a Dino mutant tracker and is being brought back to his home country. We'd get locked up in a mental ward." Green said sarcastically.

"Well...well maybe we could just say...he's been kidnapped. We don't have to tell the truth." Blue suggested. 

"Barney would probably tell the police about our tails and then we'd become science experiments." Pink said. 

"I don't want to be a science project." Magenta said. 

"I know and that's exactly why we need to do this." Purple said with a yawn. 

"Okay finnnnne, but can we at least take turns staying up? I mean Yellow can take a shift he doesn't even need to sleep. Besides he can see "everything." Orange said. 

"Alright if you whimps are really that tired I'll stay up with Yellow and keep and eye out for Red trying to sneak in." Pink said. 

"Hey I'm not a whimp." Blue said. 

"There's a spider on your shoulder." Pink said. 

"WHAT? AHHH!!!!" Blue screamed trying to shake off the spider that wasn't actually there. 

"See." Pink said. 

"Okay maybe I am a bit of a scardey cat." Blue said. 

The rest of the Vacktors went to sleep while Pink and Yellow stayed up. Yellow of course annoyed Pink the whole time by asking her questions and wanting to play cards games while they waited.  Hours passed and everyone went through shifts Red still did not return home. 

"This is it. I'm going to track down Red and Barney." Green said.

"Alright I'm coming too." Purple said. 

"I will be coming as well." Gray said. 

"Blue, Orange, Yellow, Pink, Magenta you five stay here in case Red returns. Contact us immediately if you see or hear from him. And try to call mom she might know what to do." Purple demanded as he picked up the cell phone. 

"Okay have fun you guys bring him home safely useless he doesn't come back on his own!" Yellow said. 

Green, Purple and Gray started moving out. The sun would rise in an hour or so and they all began to worry about Red. Him not being home and hanging out without someone was all strange specially since Barney's home country captured dinosaurs. 

They walked all around trying to find Barney. Where would they be? 

"Maybe they went to go to the woods. Red has always had a fascination for haunted things, and they say the woods are haunted." Green suggested. 

The three of them agreed to search the woods. 

"I know man they say the woods are haunted." Red said. 

"Haunteds? Then maybes we shouldn't be heres." Barney said. 

"Oh come on its fine." Red said. 

"Stop." Green said. 

"Um Green aren't yous in our class?" Barney asked. 

"Yes. He is. Step away from Red." Purple cried out. 

"Reds? Whose Reds?" Barney asked.

Red awkwardly looked at the ground. "That's Red he's OUR brother." Green said. 

"Whats? Your names is Reds? And they are your siblings?" Barney asked. 

"Yes and you better stay away from him or I'll bite you." Purple said narrowing his eyes. 

"Bite him? Purple what the heck our you doin..." Red was cut off as Purple pushed Red to the side and glared right at Barney. Barney started to back away. Green and Gray started surrounding Barney as well. 

"Didn't think you'd be able to take on four of us did you?" Purple asked darkly. 

"I uh Michaels or Reds what's are they doing?" Barney cried out in fear. 

Red ran up trying to break up the situation. "What the heck is wrong with you three?" Red demanded. 

"Oh you haven't told him yet? Don't worry I'll tell him for you, even though that will have ruined the surprise." Purple said to Barney. 

Red tried to break Purple, Green, and Gray away from Barney. 

"His home country is known for dinosaur people." Purple said bitterly. Barney's eyes went wide. He started to get even more nervous and afraid than he already was. Red's eyes went wide. His siblings were trying to save him from some dinosaur hunter. 

"See he admits it Red look at his eye." Gray said hissing at Barney. 

"I thought you were my friend!" Red yelled at Barney stepping closer to him. 

Barney puts his hands up in defense. "I ams." Barney said. 

"Liar! A friend doesn't keep secrets like this." Red screamed. 

"Okays I'm sorrys." Barney said. 

"You better be, because you won't be capturing me today." Red said his face just inches away from Barney's. Barney looked confused. 

"Captures yous? What's ares yous talking about?" Barney asked. How dare Barney behave like this. Claim to be Reds friend even after being caught and playing dumb when questioned about capturing them. 

"Don't you play dumb with us. You know exactly what we're talking about." Green said. 

"I don't knows what yous mean be capturing!" Barney said crying. 

"Oh so you don't want capture me and my family and sell us away to your dinosaur mutant hunting village!" Red screamed. 

"Dinosaur hunting village. We don'ts hunt dinosaur people. We haves myths abouts peoples like that's, but we do nots hunts them." Barney said. 

The four Vacktors backed off Barney a bit. 

"My homes country our mostly goat farmers. The dinosaurs peoples are just myths that my peoples celebrate." Barney said. Red gave a sigh of relief. Purple, Green, and Gray stilled had their eyes trained on Barney. "Waits a minutes why did you thinks I would captures yous...unless." Barney said. 

The four siblings started to look very very nervous. "What's is goings on here?" Barney asked. 

"Um just a second." Red said as he pulled his siblings close to him whispering. "We have to tell him. He already knows." He said. 

"Are you crazy! He'll capture us for sure." Gray said. 

"He literally just said his people celebrate dinosaur hybrids. Besides I trust him." Red said. 

"Red you've only known him for a couple of days." Green said with a poker face. 

"I know that Green, but I trust him." 

"He'll probably figure it out later." Gray said thinking. 

"We don't have much of a choice do we?" Purple asked rhetorically. 

"No. We don't." Gray said. They all turned back to face Barney who was looking at a rock on the floor. Barney looked up at them. After Red cleared his throat. 

"Well um you see we're sorta of dinosaur people." Red said. He lifted his jacket and shirt up a little bit revealing a scaley red tail wrapped tightly around his waist. He left the tail fall down and swished  it around a few times. Green, Gray, and Purple lifted their shirts up as well letting Barney see their tails. They all looked nervous at Barney. Even Gray looked nervous which was an unusual look for her. 

Barney remained speechless. His facial features were hard to read. He slowly lifted a part of his shirt up revealing a purplish tail. 

"Your one of us?" Red asked. Green, Gray, and Purple looked extremely shocked. Very rare for the three of them. 

"Yes." Barney said. 

They all just sort of sat there for a bit looking at each other. The only sound was the sound of the birds chirping and the sound of their tails swishing.

"So.. "Green said awkwardly. "I'm guessing you don't hunt dinosaur hybrids?" He asked. 

"Nos." Was all Barney said. 

"Well uh sorry we accused you then." Green said. The other three Vacktors said a quiet sorry. 

They just sort of exchanged looks and various "ums" and "uhs" 

"If you don't hunt dino creatures where did the myths come from is this why you left your country?" Red asked trying to fill the awkward silence. 

"Well everyone in my villages is borns with claws, tails, and sharp teeths." Barney said. He reached into his mouth and took out these fake teeth that we're covering up the real sharp looking teeth as well as taking off his gloves and revealing long sharp claws. The Vacktors did the same as well. Except they trimmed their claws down so they didn't really look claw like. 

"Everyone?" Purple asked in disbelief. "How could a whole village be like this and not be discovered?" He asked. 

"Wes kinda keeps to ourselves. Expects for sellings dirts and goats milks. My peoples generally never leaves the countries. Afraid of what's peoples might dos. Like locking thems in labs. Howevers, my parents let mes to explores the worlds and so they lets me come to Americas." Barney said. 

"This was most certainly unexpected." Gray said with a smile. 

"Oh so you can smile?" Red asked. 

"I'm a very prepared person that always expects the unexpected. Anything or anyone that manages to surprise me deserves a reward." She said with a smirk. 

"Reds why didn't you tells me your reals name?" Barney asked. 

"Oh um well I just wanted to make friends with someone. As you can tell we aren't exactly normal." Barney let out a small chuckle. "And people have always thought we were weird. So we never made any friends. And for once I just wanted to make friends with someone and not be seen as one of the "Vactors" "the rainbow kids" or "the kids that still wear onesies in middle school." And of course I being stupid figured that distancing myself from my siblings and pretending I wasn't one of them was the way to get that and for that I'm sorry." Red said. 

"Your forgiven Red." Purple said. Green and Gray nodded. 

"The truth is id do the same." Green said. 

"You would?" Red asked. 

"No." Green replied. 

"Well nows I have four new friends insteads of one." Barney said happily swishing his tail back and forth. 

"Actually you'll have more than four friends. We're a rainbow. There's nine of us (I probably won't add more into the story unless it's the future)." Red said. 

"Reallys that manys?" Barney asked.

"Yep. We are a big family." Green said. 

The five dinosaur hybrids walked out of the woods. 

"You should come meet the others some time." Red suggested. 

"I woulds but I shoulds be getting backs homes." Barney said. 

"Yah you should probably get home, but hey maybe next week we could go check out the woods or this haunted house on the way to school." Red suggested. 

"Haunted house? Creepy forest? I'm in." Green said. 

"You are?" Both Barney and Red asked. 

"Don't look surprised my middle names Danger." Green said. 

"No it's not its Emerald." Red said. 

"Whatever I live for the extreme." Green said. 

Barney whispered to Red. "Emerald that's a weird middle names." He said. 

"Trust me I know." Red replied. 

They all continued walking as the sun starting rising. Purple was walking along and the sun started shinning through a cloud hitting him. Ah. It wasn't a pleasant feeling it made his eyes water and he quickly moved into the shade. Gray took notice of this. 

"How ares yous Green and Purples anyways?" Barney asked. 

"Um we were born this way." Green said. 

"Yeah it's um best not to talk about it right now." Red said. He wasn't exactly sure if Barney needed to know the whole truth about their origins yet. Especially since the other Vacktors might not be comfortable with him telling Barney. 

Barney waved goodbye as the Vacktors walked up to their front porch. "Byes you dirts." He called out. 

"Bye." They all waved. 

"Dirts? That's an unusual thing to call someone." Gray remarked. 

"Yes. Yes it is." Purple said. 

They opened the front door and found the other Vacktors standing in the living room. 

"Hey guys." Red said. 

"RED!" Yellow cried out as he ran up to him giving Red a hug whether he wanted one or not. 

"Where we're you? What happened with Barney? Our any of you hurt?" Magenta asked. 

 "I was in the forest hanging with Barney, but you'll never believe what happened." Red said. 

"What? Did you get locked in a hotel for 20 years by an evil hotel manager because you were a lizard person and a red haired girl befriended you?" Orange asked.

"What?" Red asked. 

"I don't know man sometimes I get visions or something." Orange replied. 

"Um okay." Red said. Yellow started bouncing up and down. 

"Tell us Red. Come on tell us!" He said. 

"Barney is a dinosaur." Red said. 

"Red we're a little too old for kids TV's shows." Pink said glaring at him. 

"No not that Barney. Barney the foreign exchange student. He's like us. He has a tail and everything." Red said. 

"What really?" Blue asked. 

"Yep. Green, Gray, and Purple saw it too." Red said. 

"Oh yah. It was kinda awesome. Having another dinosaur around." Green said. 

All the Vacktors had to agree having another dinosaur friend was going to be awesome. 

"Oh and by the way we forgive you." Magenta said. 

"Speak for yourself I don't. I want 20 bucks and then I'll forgive you." Orange said. 

"Orange.' Red said glaring. 

"I'm just kidding." Orange replied. 

They all laughed. 

Later that day 

Purple was cleaning up around his room. Moving bits and pieces of his projects. He picked up a remote control to his and Red's failed generator. Purple walked towards the closet when he smelled something gross. Green's dirty clothes. Green was sitting on his bed listening to music.

"Green you should really pick up your socks." Purple said.

"I'll get to it in a bit." Green replied taking his head phones out of his ears.

"Green. You never get to it. You always put it off." Said the purple haired boy.

"I know, but this time I'll do it." Green said.

"I don't believe you." Purple said.

"Whatever. Your so bossy just like Red." Green said.

"I'm not bossy!" Purple replied.

"Yes you are." Green said.

"No I'm not!" Purple yelled.

"See your yelling." Green said.

Purple was getting angry. Why couldn't Green just pick up his socks. Blue, and himself always cleaned up their parts of the room so why couldn't Green?

"You need to clean up your side of the room now." Purple said angrily. He tried being patient with Green, but it wasn't working.

"Oh yah make me." Green said. Purple felt strange his eyes flashed a deep shade of Purple. He looked at Green and noticed that his briefly flashed the same shade. Then something even more bizarre happened. Green bent down and started picking up his clothes. It was someone what robotic. Almost as if he was forced to do so.

Purple was in absolute horror. He.... Yes... He made Green starting cleaning up their room. How did he do that? That was... scary.... He could control people?

"Green?" Purple asked fear in his voice.

"Yah?" Green asked.

"Wh...why... are you picking up your clothes?" Purple asked.

"Um..." Green paused for a moment before thinking. "I guess cause I want to." Green replied. He wanted to? Purple thought to himself? This was bad very bad. Not only could he control people's movements but also their thoughts? Purple started panicking which was unusual for him. His powers were getting stronger and they were getting out of control. He needed to figure out a way to stop this.

"I... uh... must leave now." Purple said.

"Whatever." Green said confused.

Purple ran out the room and into the bathroom locking the door behind him. How? Is that even possible? What I am? Purple thought to himself. What triggered him to control Green like that? Was it his anger? Was it the fact that Green said make me? Purple pondered if experimenting to see what causes these powers to work was a good idea. On one hand if he does he might be able to figure out what is chasing him to control people. On the other hand what if he made someone do something bad like kill someone?

Purple decided to get some fresh air. It would be good for him conscious wise. As Purple walked outside he heard laughter coming from the backyard. "Whee!" Yellow screamed jumping up and down on a trampoline. Ever since his accident with the sun Yellow has been more energetic than ever. Yellow saw Purple coming and in the blink of and eye Yellow was now standing in front of Purple. Purple jumped he hadn't expected Yellow to move so quickly. "Geese Yellow you almost gave me a heart attack." Purple said.

"Sorry. I was just really excited to see you. Plus it's kinda hard to get used to all these powers and finding out that your a robot and all this stuff. What are you doing out here anyway?" Yellow asked bouncing up and down.

"Okay first off stop that." Purple said placing his hands on Yellow's shoulders so he wouldn't bounce up and down again. "And second off I came out here because I've got a lot on my mind right now." Purple said.

"That's great I could talk to you about it. Is it a secret or something? Even if it's not I'm really happy to talk. I really don't care what the subject is I just want to help you. Talking is sometimes a good way to get everything you need to say out. I used to not really like talking or being around people, but I guess I've sorta changed and...." Yellow said really fast before Purple interrupted him.

"I can't think straight with you talking!" Purple yelled.

Yellow looked hurt. He wasn't trying to be annoying. He just wanted to hang out with his brother. You... you mean you want me to shut up?" Yellow asked sadly. Finally Yellow was starting to get it.

"Yes." Purple said. As soon as that word left Purple's lips he felt that strange feeling again. He looked at Yellow's eyes and they flashed Purple. Oh no. "Yellow?" Purple asked. Yellow looked at Purple but remained silent. "Yellow?" He asked again, but still Yellow remained silent. "YELLOW?" Purple screamed. Yellow just covered his hears unused to his advanced hearing. He didn't like Purple's shouting. Yellow looked sadly at Purple and decided to run off.

How did he manage to control Yellow? Yellow's a robot he doesn't have a "brain." Then he looked down in his hand. He was holding the remote to the generator. Perhaps the remote had some affect on Yellow. 

Behold baby Red. This is what Red would have looked like at the time of this chapter. Just picture baby Red. 

(The last part doesn't exactly fit with the whole Barney thing but I decided to add it because I didn't want one mini chapter next time)
