This is sort of a head canon 

In this story the Vacktors are Red's siblings and not his emotions

Chapter one how the Vacktors came to be

It was late at night. No one would be around at such a late hour. Well almost no one. The sound of high heels clicking against a marble floor could be heard coming down from the hallway. They grew louder and louder until the sound of a door unblocking could be heard.

A young women wearing a lab coat stepped inside. She wiped the sweat from her brow and took a deep sigh. She had been working on this for a year now. And if things went right this would be her greatest achievement.

She picked up the clipboard laying on top of he desk and turned to the files. Perfect. Everything seemed to be according to plan. It would finally be time to take them out of their tubes.

On the other side of the room were the tubes. The tubes were pretty big, big enough to fit a person inside of them. Each of the tubes had a different colored liquid inside of it, caused by different chemicals. The tubes were each labeled with the name of a color. Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, Magenta, and Grey/Gray. The names of the color of liquid that was inside of each tube. She had made so many children, because she didn't think many of them would survive, and if they all did well then she'd have a big family. Inside the test tubes were small infants with wires suspending them from the air. They floated around inside the strange colored water.

These were going to be her children. You see Miss Vacktor was unable to have children. She and her ex husband had previously tried to have children, but after a tragic trip to the doctor she discovered she was unable to have children. This was devastating to her. She always wanted to be a mother, and finding out she could never have children broke her heart.

She decided to take action into her own hands. If she couldn't have children she'd make children. Miss Vacktor was a scientist, so creating children wasn't impossible. Of course it wasn't easy. First, she was only person she'd need more DNA to create children. Luckily, she had a huge lab full of chemicals, and animal DNA.

She had to convince her collages that the project she'd be working on would help the company in order for them to let her use these ingredients and not intrude on her work. She made sure she worked on her project when no one else was around so no one would see what she was actually doing. She even told the janitor that she'd take care of any messes she made in her laboratory.

Of course Miss Vacktor was working on a project that she'd eventually reveal to her collages, but that part would come later.

After receiving the DNA and chemicals that she needed she set to work to create her prefect children. Once she put the chemicals and DNA together she put the children inside giant test tubes for nine months so they would grow and develop.

The kids DNA's would be unique to each of them. They would all have some DNA from her, some DNA from fish, and DNA from a dinosaur. However, the chemicals were all different. She tried to use as little animal DNA and chemicals as possible to keep the children from mutating, but it was very possible that they would end up looking like hybrid creatures. She hoped not. She wanted her kids to live as normal of a life as possible.

She walked over to the test tubes to finally release her children and see what they looked like. The test tube weren't exactly that easy to see through, but for the most part they looked normal.

She nervously reached over to the control panel ad pressed the button to open the first test tube. The one marked "Red." As she slowly opened it up steam started pouring out of the test tube cursing her to shield her eyes while the liquid drained out of it. There it was the first baby suspended from wires. She detached the nutrients cords and quickly unhooked the child and took a little at it.

The first baby was a boy who had red hair and brown colored eyes. The baby was beautiful to look at. And she thought that the name Michael would suit him. She turned the baby over and saw to her horror a bright red tail, and fish gills under his arm pits.

This probably wasn't a good thing. Her poor little baby was a mutant. And it was her fault. She should have ran more tests. Or found safer chemicals or DNA to work with. Would kids pick on him if they saw him like this? Was he even really a person? Would more mutations occur as he got older? Would he live a shorter life than other "regular" people. All these horrible thoughts about her child's future came crashing through her mind. She worried for her baby.

She looked down at him and saw his tail wag back and forth in happiness as he smiled up at her. She held him close to her kissing the top of his wet little head. "I'm so sorry Michael. I didn't mean to do this to you." She told him. She walked over to the crib and feed him a bottle of milk before wrapping him up in a blanket and setting him down.

She really hoped that he'd be okay. Maybe she'd be able to find a way to remove the tail and gills if she did a couple of harmless tests on him. She'd have to do tests on all the babies anyway, and removing his tail and gills would not cause him any harm, but now it was time to release the others.
