; a perfect storm, pt. 2
Leo's POV;
My lower abdomen was in such immense pain I felt as if I was going to burst. Although the pain was ephemeral, it still hurt like hell. My palms were clammy and beginning to get doused in sweat, and my forehead felt like it was beaming red. "Okay, Leo. I'm going to sedate you now. You'll wake up after the surgery," Donnie said, his amber eyes soothing my tension already. I nodded groggily and he injected my vein with whatever was in that needle.

As I woke up, my eyesight was beginning to only adjust. I saw three silhouettes, each belonging to my brothers and my lover, I hoped. A hand touched me, and I immediately knew it was Raph. His hand made my thoughts nebulous, and his scarlet voice made me incredibly nervous. "The surgery went fine," Donnie said, from what seemed to be my left side. "Although you went into v-fib once, I was able to keep you stable. Your vitals are great now, so you'll be as good as new in a couple of days or weeks," His voice seemed to trail on and off, which might've been me hopping in and out of consciousness. But, all that mattered was that the surgery was successful.
Everyone left to go do their own business, except Raph. He stayed by my side, with the help of a chair. He sat down and played with my hand. It calmed me down, though.
"There's an end to every storm. Once all the trees have been uprooted, once all the houses have been ripped apart, the wind will hush, the clouds will part, the rain will stop. The sky will clear in an instant and only then, in those quiet moments after the storm, do we learn who was strong enough to survive it."
