Varun's POV

Me: Umm... Deepika... If you don't mind... Can I have your number?

Deeps: Oru ponnu kitta ippadi dhaan tuppnu number kaepingala inspector sir? Naan ethanaavadhu ponnu?(You'll ask for a girl's phone number just like this ah inspector sir?)

Me: Naan yaaru kittaiyum indha maari kettadhu illa ma. Nee dhaan first and last. (I have never asked a girl for her number ma. You're first and last.)

She chuckled and we exchanged our numbers. We were just talking about each other's life and how's it going. It doesn't matter what I talk about with her. The only thing that matters is spending time with her. My Deeps.
You guys may think that it's just a normal school time puppy love. It's not. To be honest, even I thought that it was just a crush. But when I  entered college, I started to miss her a lot. We would only meet once in 3 or 2 months. Earlier, when I was in school, I would meet her every day. And these five years, was really hard without seeing her. I was a fool to think that she already had a boyfriend. Anyways, I have now got the chance to chase my girl. My first love. My first crush. My Deeps.

Vikram's POV

I was hugging Ammu from the back. I have never felt this way with anyone. The cool breeze and my Ammu in my arms. She was lost in the skies while I was lost in her. Suddenly she turned around to face me. What she said next made me go to cloud 9999. She looked into my eyes and said,

"Vikram, I have always had few expectations for my life partner. I don't whether it's too much or less. But I definitely know that they are reasonable. According to me, my life partner should be a lover, a best friend, a good comrade, a dear husband, a well wisher and most importantly a shoulder to lean on. Right now, I want all these to be you. I know that we have only spent few weeks with each other. But, now, I can surely say that YOU ARE THE ONE.  I just can't imagine my future with anyone else rather than you. And, I promise that I would be a life partner to you just like how I expect you to be."

Oh my god. Is it a dream? Wait. Did she just propose to me? This girl... She looked at me for an answer. Her eyes only reflected love. Shouldn't she know the answer? I love her. I don't know why I love her. But, I just can't be without her.

Priya's POV

I don't know where I got that courage from. I just spoke my heart out to him. I searched his eyes for an answer. He just hugged me and kissed my forehead. I loved his way of answering me. I encircled my arms around him reciprocating his hug. I just closed my eyes and forgot the things around me. The only thing I could hear was his heartbeat. A rhythm that I wish to hear all my life.

Author's POV

Priya and Vikram were immersed in each other's hug while Varun and Deepika were busy catching up with each other's life. Shantima was busy preparing lunch and Murugan thaatha was watching a reality show on TV. Oh... Did I forget to tell you guys? It was a Saturday.

    After a while, Vikram and Priya came down as Shanthi ma wanted Priya to go to a nearby shop to buy something. She went with Deepika while Vikram and Varun stayed back helping Shanti ma. They both came back and noticed that Shanthi ma was preparing a feast.

Priya: Amma!! Pullaikum maaplaikum treat ah? ( Amma!! You're giving a treat to your son and son in law?)

Shantima: Avangaluku mattum illa oru important guest um varaanga.(Not only for them. An important guest is also coming.)

Priya: Important guest ah? Yaaru?

"Vera yaaru naan dhaan"(Who else? It's me) a voice came from the direction of the doorstep. It was none other than Priya's dear sister in law. Aditi.

Vikram: Eyy!! Kutti pisasu nee edhuku di Inga vandha? ( Hey, dork!! Why did you come here?)

Vikram asked Aditi twisting her ear.

Priya: Vikram!! Vidu avala.. paavam chellakutty. (Vikram!! Leave my darling)

Aditi: Apdi sollunga Anni!! En Anni veedu naan eppo venumnaalum varuven. Unakku ennada? Seri... Nee  Varun Anna va paakuren nu dhaana pona? Inga enna pandrel? (It's my sister in law's house. I'll come whenever I want. Ok... You said you are going to meet Varun Anna right? What are you doing here?)

Varun came out from the kitchen hearing a familiar voice from the living room.

Varun: Eyy!! Kutty enna Inga? Anni ah paaka vandhiya? (Hey Kutty!! You came to see your sister in law?)

Aditi: Varun Anna... Neenga epdi Inga?? (Varun brother... How come you are here??) She asked and looked at everyone confused.

"Adha naan soldren.."( I'll tell that to you.) Deepika said and took Aditi and Priya with her to Priya's room. They both explained to Aditi how they knew Varun. After that, The girls were busy gossiping while the boys were helping Shanti ma.

Murugan thaatha: Keela vaangada kannungala..(Come down darlings).

Hearing him, they came down and sat on the dining table. Their eyes brighten seeing the dishes in front of them.

Hyderabadi Biryani

"Super ma" All the three girls said in unison.

Vikram: Soru nu sonnadhum paaru epdi bright aagitaanga? (See how enthusiastic they are after seeing the food?)

Priya: Namakku soru dhaan mukkiyam 😋 (Food is important)

All of them including Shanti ma and thaatha sat and dug in.

After finishing lunch and talking for a while, Deepika, Varun, Vikram and Aditi left to their respective houses. Priya spent the day talking with her mom and grandpa.

It was 11:30 pm. Priya was binge-watching Alaipayuthe for the nth time. A person would never get bored watching that film right? Soon after Snehithane song got over, Priya got a call from her Snehithan💜.

Priya: Oii!! Enna? Innum thoongalaiya?(What? Didn't sleep still?)

Vikram: Naan thoonguradhu irukatum.. madam enna pandreenga? (Leave that.. what are you doing?)

Priya: Naana? Oruthan kitta naan inaiku propose pannen ah? Avan badhil sollaama hug pannitu poitaan... Adhaan avana nenachukitte Alaipayuthe padam paathutu iruken.(Me? I proposed a guy today. He just hugged me and went instead of answering me. So, I'm watching Alaipayuthe thinking of him.)

Vikram: Apdiya?! Nee enna badhil edhirpaatha?(Really? What answer did you expect?)

Priya: Naan edhaavadhu cheesy ah.. solluvaan nu edhirpaathen... Avan ivlo romantic ah irupaan nu yaaruku theriyum?( I thought that he'll say something cheesy. Who knows that he'll be this romantic?)

Vikram: Ahaan? Do you know something? He can be much more romantic enough to make you go red like a beetroot.

Priya blushed at what he said just now.

Vikram: Ayyo.... Madam kannam enna ipdi sevakudhu? (Oh my god!! Your cheeks are turning so red)

Priya: Yaar!! You're not even here... How did you find that I am blushing?

Vikram: Adhaan ippo sollitiye. (You said just now.)

Priya: Kadavule!!🤦😒

Vikram: *chuckles* Seri Ammu... Poi thoongu da. (Ok fine. Go and sleep, darling.)

Priya: Seri, byee good night.

Vikram: Byee... I love you.

Priya:😳 Eyy enna sonna?

Vikram: I... Love... You

Before Priya could ask something Vikram hanged up the call. Here Priya was still not able to comprehend what just happened. They both went to sleep thinking about each other.

On the other hand, Varun and Deepika were busy thinking about each other. Both of them thought to call each other but something from inside is telling them not to. Busy debating to themselves about calling each other, they both dozed off to sleep.
