"NAMKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!"

Cuz same

------------------------------------------------------------------

"NAMBABYLOVEPIE!"

Namjoon's eyes widened when Hoseok flew through the air at him, having no time to even bring his arms up to defend himself before Hoseok tackled him to the tiled floor.

He winced as his back hit the ground, Hoseok's weight on his hips as the younger boy babbled incoherently, kissing the students face all over and pinching his cheeks while sobbing.

Jungkook hurried over to help Namjoon, expecting the boy to shove Hoseok off and yell at him, but he was surprised to hear Namjoon laugh, his arms draping over Hoseok to hold him.

"I missed you too, you pestiferous progeny."

Hoseok moaned in-between sobs.

Jungkook reached a hand down, and lightning shot through his nerves when Namjoon grabbed it, hauling the boy back to his feet.

Hoseok slid off but hugged Namjoon tightly, and Jungkook couldn't help but give in as well, wrapping his arms around both of them and squeezing tightly.

Resting his cheek against Namjoon's strong chest, inhaling his familiar scent and feeling his arms hold him tight nearly had Jungkook crying just like Hoseok, but he forced himself to keep it together.

They couldn't celebrate just yet.

"What are you guys doing here? Are the others here? How did you find me here? Is...is...he...?" Namjoon swallowed.

Jungkook pulled back and looked around, thankful they were alone in the hallway.

"Come on, let's get back to the limo before class ends."

He grabbed Namjoon's hand and hurried down the stairs, yanking the confused boy along behind him.

Hoseok raced along beside him, squeezing Namjoon tightly, as if not letting him go.

They ran across the grass, through the parking lot, and all the way down the block, where the limo was still parked.

Taehyung saw them coming and climbed out, sprinting over to meet them.

"Tae!" Namjoon gasped. "How-"

Taehyung leaped off the sidewalk, arms spread wide as he too tackled the poor student, knocking him back to the ground once again.

"Namjoon!" He cried, burying his face in the boys neck.

Hoseok threw himself on top of them, crying again, and Jungkook stood there, not knowing what to do.

Namjoon hugged Taehyung tightly. "Tae...what's going on? What are you doing here? Where's Jin and Jimin? And..."

"Oh, right, an explanation." Taehyung scrubbed his eyes and sat up. "Almost forgot."

Jungkook opened the door and they all climbed inside, everyone swarming around Namjoon.

"Wow, I really didn't think I would ever get to see you again." Taehyung said softly, cupping the students face gently, as if the dream would pop at any moment.

Namjoon placed his hand over Taehyung's. "My parents made me leave without saying goodbye, I'm so sorry I couldn't stop them. I didn't want to move, I never wanted to leave you guys. I tried to run away once, and they installed bars across my window."

"I know, it's not your fault what all happened." Hoseok nodded.

"What did happen?" Namjoon looked to Jungkook for answers.

"Do you want the heartbreaking truth or the short version?" Hoseok sighed.

"Where's...what happened to...him?"

It hurt Jungkook the fact that Namjoon couldn't even say Yoongi's name.

"Let's get back to the hotel. I feel like your parents put security cameras in the trees." Taehyung shuddered.

-

Sitting together on one bed, with Taehyung and Hoseok both hugging Namjoon and Jungkook facing them, was finally when Namjoon could get his answers.

"We traced Taehyung's phone number to this area and found him, and he said he had seen you going to school here, so we snuck inside to find you." Jungkook explained.

Namjoon frowned, looking down at Taehyung. "What were you doing all the way in Sannamdong?"

"Making McFries."

"What-"

"Nyumnoojoo!" Hoseok gripped the boys arm. "You have to help Seokjin!"

"What- Jin? Why? What happened to him?" Namjoon was alarmed.

"After the trial everything went to shit! They took Yoongi, Jimin was manipulated back into a relationship with Cho, Jungkook left, my parents made me get a girlfriend, Taehyung ran away and Seokjin...my best friend...his parents forced him into conversion therapy. They brainwashed him to hate us!"

Namjoon stared, and Jungkook bit his lip, knowing the students heart was breaking.

"No...Jin..."

Hoseok shook Namjoon's shoulder roughly. "You have to help him! Make an antidote or whatever! A cure! Make him remember! I need him!"

"I- it doesn't work like that!" Namjoon tried to reason. "It would take ages to slowly undo all that they did- there's no cure for manipulation!"

Taehyung hugged the sobbing boy. "It's okay, Hobbes. We'll think of something. We'll get him back, no matter what."

Jungkook slid off the bed, unable to bear seeing Hoseok so upset, and walked to the balcony.

He stood under the evening stars, feeling a cool breeze rustle the trees around him.

The door opened and shut behind him, and Namjoon joined him.

"Kook..."

"I need to tell you something."

Namjoon fell silent, gazing at him silently.

Jungkook took a deep breath, looking out over the streets below.

"Hoseok said I left...but that's not really true."

Namjoon said nothing, waiting for him to continue.

"This is going to sound crazy and I'm aware of that, but it's the truth. Leaving is what the Jungkook of this reality did. Not me."

He risked a glance at the boy, and Namjoon gazed back.

"I'm from a different timeline, one where we won the trial, and all lived happily ever after. Agust even changed into a good guy, and we defeated Yoongi's father, and none of this terrible shit ever happened! I know how weird that sounds, and you don't believe me-"

"I don't."

"Do it anyways!"

"Jungkook-"

"I think if I fix all of this, if I get everything back to normal, I'll go back to my real home." Jungkook sighed, leaning against the railing. "They think I have amnesia or something because I didn't know anything about what had happened in this world, and that's because I'm not from here. I don't have amnesia and I'm not crazy."

"Kook, trauma can affect people in ways they don't even realize or comprehend."

Jungkook huffed. "Yeah? You don't believe me? Then explain how I know you were going to propose to Yoongi."

Namjoon froze, eyes wide. "What...how...how the hell did you know that? I never told anyone, no one!"

"I know because in my world, you and Yoongi proposed to each other at the same time just after graduation, which was right after the trial!" Jungkook faced him. "But in this world, we lost the trial, so that never happened."

Namjoon frowned. "Did you see my browsing history or something?"

"No! I'm telling you- this isn't how everything was supposed to happen! We weren't supposed to lose, and Agust isn't a bad guy! We need to find him and the alters and get them all back!"

Namjoon glared, wrapping his arms around himself as he turned away.

"Agust..." He laughed darkly, hanging his head. "That's funny, Jungkook. Really hilarious. He's the reason we lost, he's the reason the love of my life was taken away from me right before my eyes, he's the one who held me down and hurt me. And you want to say he's not a villain?"

"Joon, please listen-"

"How could you even say that?" Namjoon whirled on him, eyes shiny with tears. "After everything he did- the harm, fear and pain he's caused!" He shook his head. "I don't think you have amnesia, Kook. I think you're just damaged."

Jungkook's breath caught in his throat, and he wordlessly brushed past the student, storming back inside.

Namjoon looked up at the stars, tears running down his cheeks.

"Yoongi..."
