As the ride goes on, Ruhana finds herself relaxing more and more... she watches the neon signs fly by... and slowly the scenery turns something scenic. 

"Ye kaha agaye hum?"

She questions sensing that they are now speeding away on to the highway. she thought maybe they would stop by her place and have a nice quite dinner. her stomach growls just as she thinks that...

"Hey kya tha wo? mere bike ka engine sound toh nahi?"  Vineet jokes.

"Arey wo..." Ruhana is annoyed, "there's no way you can hear it okay!? stop making fun of me?"

Vineet laughs harder and she pounds on his back-

"outch!! acha! are you angry? hey... i heard a strange sound okay... was it your stomach?"

Vineet turns to look behind but she makes him turn around.

"Road ko dekho!"

he has his helmet on now and she doesn't know what expression he's making.

"Bataya nahi kaha jarahe hai.." she asks again.

"It's a surprise. par pehle bolo... are you hungry?"

Ruhana bites her lip.  before she can overcome her embarrassment and say something, he's already driving away towards a road side Dhaba. they get off the bike n when she hesitates, he turns to her-

"This one is good.  trust me, jab hum mission pe gaye the, toh yahi khaya..."

Ruhana nods and follows him.

"Kya mission khatarnaak tha?"

He smiles. was she that worried? there are still creases between her brows and he wants to smooth them down with a kiss- and he does just that!

"Hey!" Ruhana blushes at the sudden move, but stays firm, "no touching until mera gussa shaant hojaye, samjhe-"

"Oh ok mata ji!" Vineet shakes his head, a little disappointed and throws his hands up in the air, "so thodi der pehle kon mujhe hug karraha tha?"

Ruhana is stuck for a moment and then says- "wo toh main hu. I'm allowed okay... I mean jab  mera mann kare..."

"Shuru kardi manmaani..."

"Kya bola?"

"Nahi kuch nahi madam ji.. chaliye."

Ruhana hides a smile and follows him. they sit on a charpai.. and soon delicious dishes are placed on the table in front.

"Wow!" she is about to reach for a paraantha when he stops her-

"Arey kya,.. ab khane de bohot bhook lagi hai!" 

Vineet laughs when she exclaims.

"Just lemme take care of you..." with a smile he takes a small piece and holds near her mouth-

"What??"

Ruhana is baffled. is he gonna spoon feed her?

"Hey... uh..."

she looks around, suddenly feeling conscious.

"It's okay... here lemme pamper you..."

she accepts the bite smiling. and he feeds her until her stomach is full. not just her stomach though, her heart is full too.

"tumhara khana thanda horaha hai.." she tried to remind him but he wouldn't listen. 

when the wind plays with strands of her hair, he tries to tuck it beneath her ear but pulls his hand back, remembering her words.

Ruhana is disappointed..  she's almost tempted to give in but, naah she's not going to melt into a puddle so soon.

for now... she smiles watching him eat... 

just watching him eat, having him pamper her is more than enough.

Ruhana falls asleep right away as their ride resumes. she doesn't know where they are but she feels refreshed. the night air has turned chilly and she shivers.

"uth gayi princess?"

"don't call me that... how long was I asleep?"

"um.. 4 hours?"

"4 hours?!!" 

she exclaims checking her watch.. and takes in the surroundings... it's almost close to 2 AM. and the roads, looks like they are heading to somewhere in the western ghats.

Vinu stops the bike and removes his jacket.

"Kya karrahe ho?"

"Pehenlo... thand bohot hai...kuch aur ghante lagenge.."

"Vineet please! It's okay... tum thak nahi gaye kya? mission k laut-te hi tum... See mujhe kabhi aur manaao okay? abhi hum ghar chalei?"

Ruhana bites her lip. he has been on a mission for days and here he is driving as soon as he got back- 

He laughs, "Ghar? itni door aane k baad? don't worry, love. I'm fine... waise tumhara concern acha laga... makes a guy feel special!"

"Haha! stupid! of course tum special ho..."

His happy laughter makes her wish she didn't say that aloud.

three hours later.

they have reached a hilly terrain and after parking the bike on one side of the road, they dwelve into the woods, trekking.

Vinu offers her hand, guiding her through the trees and shrubbery. a rough mud path can be seen leading to the summit and Ruhana finds traces of sleep vanishing from her body...

A nice trek to a quiet romantic place... not bad...

she smiles to herself....

one hour.... they are exhausted by the time they reach the summit.

As the first rays of sun begins to light up the terrain... a picturisque scene unfolds before the duo...

"Wow!" says Ruhana smiling... "it's beautiful!"

"Sabse zyada beautiful toh tum ho!"

"Makhan laga rahe ho?"

"Nahi... you are beautiful... and humara rishta.. aur bhi zyada beautiful..."

Ruhana goes silent as she watches him.... a smile on her lips.. the sun lighting up his profile and the earnest look in his eyes has her captivated.

she doesn't know he feels the same way..

"you shine like a goddess in the sunlight... Ruhana.. well you are my sun... so be with me always... lighting up my life..."

She is stunned as he goes down on one knee...

"Marry me... then we won't miss each other... and I know... maine tumhe bohot gussa dilaya par... ye plan maine valentines k liye banaya tha... and I can't really postpone it... I want you in my life... as my life.. I want you beside me.. always... so please?!"

Ruhana is speechless... her eyes get watery and she doesn't know what to say. how can she be mad at him, when he's being this sweet!?

"Say what?" Vinu asks getting impatient.

It's a rather secluded spot so there are only the two of them. vineet isn't certainly comfortable to be kneeling down on the rocky ground... they are really close to the edge of the cliff 

so one wrong step could mean something painful...

"Hello.. Miss??"

Vineet waves his hands..

"Tumse shadi karu main ha? yahi pucha na?"

Ruu gets a lil naughty..

"What?"

"shayad... main haan kehti.. where's my ring?"

Vineet's face falls.. "ghar pe hai.. yar.. wo time nahi tha.. main seedha tumse milne chala aaya... sorry yar..."

his hand that he's been holding out for her begins to fall back to his side but she catches it-

"Haan, Vineet..." says Ruhana.

"What?"

"Meri jawab haan hai.. even without the ring."

She smiles. and he smiles back, as he understands the meaning..

"Oh Ruhana.!"

He exclaims as he gets to his feet and then he hugs her tight..

the sun shines down on the two of them bright..

"so am I allowed to do this?"

he cups her cheeks and she nods...

She closes her eyes as his soft lips descend on hers...
