"And why the hell are you telling us this now?" Namjoon's voice thundered through the room, his piercing gaze fixed on his sons, who could only stand there, heads hung low, unable to meet his eyes.

"Look at Jin," he continued, gesturing toward his eldest son. "He had the decency to introduce his boyfriend to us properly. He shared his life with us. And yet here you are, dropping this on us last minute, saying you want to get engaged by tomorrow? I haven't even met the girl." His voice lowered to a cold, bitter hiss. "You think you can just get married without our approval?"

Namjoon's disappointment cut through the air, thick and heavy, his hands clenched tightly at his sides. He remembered the hardships he had endured, the love and sacrifice it had taken to raise his children—a near-impossible task to bring four sons into the world at once. He had dreamed of watching them each marry in his own time, in his own way, with his blessing.

But Taehyung and Jimin had appeared out of nowhere with their sudden announcement, Taehyung calmly stating that he was getting engaged tomorrow. V, as usual, had already taken the reins and started preparing the arrangements, aiming to have everything ready by tomorrow afternoon as if there could be no objections.

And while everyone else seemed to be rushing forward without a second thought, Namjoon stood, silent and seething, his heart heavy with resentment, watching his dreams for his family fall apart before his eyes.

The very first issue is that he  doesn't wish for a bride for his children, he wished a son in-law. He is gay and very introvert...Since V has created him into a hybrid in his laboratory, the only women he met was V's mother who was very generous.

But before meeting or more like getting kidnapped by V, he had a very shitty life...His mother was abusive, his land lady will sexually assault the poor kid and the girls in his school would pick on him, and his own sister was a bitch who ruined her husband's life with her plannings & plotting. In short, Namjoon doesn't want a women in his household at all.

The second reason was simpler yet equally profound—Namjoon didn't trust people easily. His protective instincts, almost maternal in nature, urged him to take time to get comfortable with the girl his son had chosen. He had dreamed of sharing in each of his sons' big moments, of feeling involved in their futures. But, with a deep sigh, he reminded himself he still had three other sons—there would be other chances to fulfill his dreams. This thought was the only balm for his inner turmoil.

"Appa, I'm sorry for not informing you beforehand," Taehyung spoke up suddenly, his tone a strange mix of seriousness and regret. "But I'm not asking for your permission. I'm just telling you what I've decided." With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Namjoon in stunned silence.

"This lad is getting ruder day by day," Namjoon muttered under his breath, scoffing softly at the defiance.

Shaking off the sting of the moment, he turned to his eldest. "Jin, tell Yoongi to come with me to the mall later. I want to pick up some party wear for me and your dad. And... maybe I'll get something nice for your boyfriend too—it's about time I bond with him."

Jin nodded, a gentle smile tugging at his lips, before going to call Yoongi.

Jimin sat quietly in the waiting area beside his father, his fingers fidgeting slightly as he tried to steady his nerves. His father, V, was right there beside him, a comforting presence in the otherwise tense room.

"Are you absolutely sure you want to do this, Jimin?" V asked softly, reaching over to gently caress his son's head. His fingers moved with a tenderness that only a father could offer, soothing and steadying.

Jimin nodded, his lips pressing together as he let out a deep sigh. "Yes, Appa... I'm sure." His voice was quiet but resolved, as if he were gathering strength from each word.

V smiled faintly, his hand lingering on Jimin's head in silent support. There were no more words needed—just the warmth of a father's presence, steady and unwavering.

Both of them were waiting for their chance to get a medical check up for Jimin.

"Yibo said that we can just crash there but if we have these reports, this will make sure that there isn't a single chance of letting Hiya win. I like this idea. What's wrong if Taehyung knows this? He will react for some time then calm dow. He will calm down, hmm? Dad?" Jimin spoke with hope lacing in his tone.

V's heart soften at how close his sons were to each other in this world where brothers do nothing but fight for property. Plus, he can feel something changing in Jimin, he is same but his way to approach his brother (tae) was changing.  V shook his heads, he is mature out of all of them and he can see a glimpse of what the future is holding for them and he is mentally preparing himself for it , so that one day if Jimin suddenly comes crying to him with hurting heart saying it hurts to see Taehyung with somebody who isn't he, V won't get a heart attack 'cause he is already expecting this to happen in the future.

V wanted desperately to warn Jimin, but he knew his son's stubborn nature all too well. Jimin would brush off any caution, convinced he didn't need protecting—at least, not until it was too late.

"Kim Jimin," called the compounder, his voice echoing in the quiet waiting area. V jerked slightly at the sound, his heart tightening. He managed a reassuring smile for Jimin, giving him a small nod, and watched as his son followed the compounder down the hall and into the medical room.

They were in a modest, local hospital, one where the technology was just good enough to collect the samples they needed without raising suspicions. If they had gone to a more advanced facility, there would have been greater risk—Jimin's body wasn't like a typical human's. No, Jimin was a hybrid, his unique physiology carrying secrets that had to remain hidden.

"Let's hope this works as the officer said it would," V murmured, blowing out a shaky breath into his fisted palms. Standing up, he rubbed his temples, feeling the weight of stress settle heavily over him. All he could do now was wait, clinging to the hope that everything would go smoothly.

Flashback:

"Such a long time," Yibo murmured as he saw Jimin standing at his door. He hadn't expected this visit, especially today—a rare day off he had planned to spend catching up on sleep and indulging in way too much ice cream, hoping to ease his mind and maybe even start to move on a little. But then, attorney Zhan had insisted they go out to see a new documentary, one that explored law, crime, and all the things Yibo usually couldn't resist. It would be good for him, Zhan had argued, a way to shake off the weight he'd been carrying around, and Yibo hadn't found it in himself to say no.

So, instead of asking Jimin to meet him at the office, Yibo had invited him over to his home, thinking it might feel a bit more personal—less like work, more like old times.

But soon he got off when he saw Taehyung behind him. Yibo hugged Jimin and hesitantly looked at Taehyung who was looking a bit mature than usual but still he shyly smiled at him..

"w-wow! I didn't expect you to tag along. Come sit." Yibo said.

And then suddenly Jimin chuckled , "He isn't taehyung, yibo."

"oh s-shit! I'm so sorry u-uncle...please have a seat." Yibo stuttered and bowed for umpteenth time in apology.

"Ah, it's alright. Let's get to the point, shall we?" V said, offering a polite, fatherly smile that only faintly masked the concern in his eyes.

"Jimin, what proof were you referring to?" Yibo asked as he poured water into their glasses, the soft clinking of ice breaking the tense silence in the room.

Jimin hesitated, looking down as he gathered his thoughts. "Uh... actually, Taehyung never spent a night with Hiya." His words hung in the air, causing Yibo to pause mid-pour, brows knitting in confusion.

"How? In the lie detector test, Taehyung himself admitted to—"

"He doesn't know," Jimin interjected, his voice wavering like a candle flickering in the breeze. "He genuinely believes he was with her, but... he actually hooked up with someone else. He doesn't know the truth."

Yibo leaned back, fingers tapping thoughtfully on the glass he now held in his hand. "Hmm... I see," he murmured, though his gaze was far from convinced. "But do you have any evidence to back this up?"

Jimin glanced at his father, seeking a silent encouragement. V gave a solemn nod before replying, "We're certain my son wasn't with her. In reality, he was with someone else—a boy." The words fell like stones in the quiet room, sending a flush of crimson to both younger men's faces, the bluntness of V's statement stripping away any pretense or decency that the term "hooking up" might have preserved.

"W-what? How can you be so sure?" Yibo stammered, barely able to reconcile the sudden revelation. This tangled web of secrets was growing more intricate with every word.

"Yibo, please try to understand," V said, his tone firm yet gentle. "We know the boy, but we can't reveal his identity." There was an irony in the statement, a secret hidden within a secret, as if V were playing both protector and confessor in this delicate situation.

Yibo let out a slow breath, thinking it over, his mind already assessing the risks like pieces on a chessboard. "O-okay, Uncle... We could confront her at the engagement. If she's not that clever, maybe we can pressure her into admitting it. But if she's sharp, it could backfire, and she might file a defamation claim against us." He glanced at Jimin, and something in Jimin's posture—his fists clenched tightly at his sides, his jaw set—hinted at a newfound resolve, a courage he hadn't shown before.

And then, as if something inside him finally broke free, Jimin spoke up, voice low but steady. "I'm the boy." His confession fell like a stone into a still pond, sending ripples through the room. V's eyes widened, and for a moment, even he seemed struck by the weight of what his son had just revealed.

"Huh?" Yibo's voice was barely a whisper, struggling to process the meaning behind the words.

"I... I mean, I was the one with whom Taehyung... you know." Jimin's voice faltered as he mumbled, his fingers twisting anxiously, like tangled threads he couldn't seem to smooth out. He'd been careful, hidden, but here he was, unraveling his own secret before them.

The truth lay exposed, vulnerable, like a wound that still stung raw.

"W-what? Are you serious? Are you trying to save your brother by lying, Jimin-ssi?" Yibo asked, barely able to contain the mix of disbelief and—though he hated to admit it—a bitter hint of jealousy that gnawed at his chest. Just a day ago, he had sworn to let go, to pull himself away from the silent agony of his unrequited love for Taehyung. But three years of longing could not be erased like a smudge on a page. Now, seeing Jimin's confession, the irony struck him like a blade—it was Jimin, the very person who had his trust, who had unknowingly occupied the space in Taehyung's life that Yibo had yearned to fill.

To be honest, he felt a pang. The way zhan was always jealous of Tae, the very some way, at some points, Yibo wished to be at Jimin's place to be held close to Taehyung but he would remind himself that doesn't matter how close Jimin & Tae are, they are still brothers but today after whatever he just heard, his mind feels like it will burst out any second.

"no..he isn't making up things. We are sure about it ." V sternly said in his cold voice which made Yibo nod in respect & a bit ...like a tiny mini bit of fear 🙂.

Yibo turned to Jimin, seeking confirmation, and Jimin nodded, though his expression was clouded with uncertainty.

"H-how? It's i-impossible. How could you sleep with y-your own bro—" Yibo's voice was a mix of disbelief and concern, his mind struggling to reconcile the implications of Jimin's revelation.

"Please don't take on the role of his father," V interjected sharply, his tone firm yet composed. "For all those questions you're dying to ask, I'm here. You're an officer, so your focus should be on simplifying the case. The rest is our responsibility. I'm his dad—fit, alive, and more than capable of justifying what's wrong or right for my son."

Yibo nodded, swallowing his initial shock as he felt the weight of V's words. The atmosphere hung heavy with unspoken tension, and Jimin let out a puff of breath, the sound escaping him like a deflated balloon.

Honestly, he felt a fleeting urge to punch Yibo for even questioning his character, but he knew he needed the officer's help. Anger simmered just beneath the surface, a boiling frustration that could easily boil over if he let it. He had always been a bit spoiled, used to navigating life without others poking their noses into his business. The thought of outsiders or friends commenting on his choices was enough to make him bristle.

Yet, amidst his irritation, Jimin noted that even V hadn't raised questions about his character. His father's unwavering support was a small comfort, a shield against the judgments of the world outside their tightly knit family.

"We both were drunk..we had sex..without a single brain cell left in us...Then in morning when I woke up, I found out all these...And to clarify it even better, let me tell you when I woke up, he was clearly still physically joint with me. And he can't be at two places at once so Hiya's accusations are invalid." Jimin spoke boldly, without stuttering a bit even. He wasn't ashamed now..what has happened, has already passed. He could have stopped it if he could but it was not his fault that he can't go back in his past. Duhh!!

"o-oh, I get it...Then its cool...he won't have to marry her." Yibo nervously stated, I mean it was so unexpected for him.

"ok thanks ."

"Well...I think t-that you should get a medical check up, this way can prove through legal medical papers which can claim t-taehyung's intercourse with you ..and then you can fine a c-charge on her for defamation." The officer said and bowed.

The father son- duo thanked him before going out.

Flashback Ends!!

V turned his gaze as he saw Jimin approaching, his steps hesitant and unsure, as if he were navigating a treacherous path. The worry that clouded V's heart felt palpable in the air, tightening like a noose.

"Are you okay?" V rushed toward his son, instinctively cradling him in his arms as if he were still that fragile one-month-old baby, the weight of the world momentarily lifted from Jimin's shoulders. In that embrace, time seemed to blur, and the chaos of their circumstances faded into the background.

Jimin melted into the warmth of his father's embrace, feeling the familiar comfort wash over him like a soothing balm. It reminded him of childhood nights when the world felt overwhelmingly big and scary, and his father's arms were the only refuge. Yet now, he was a young man carrying burdens that threatened to crush him. The irony of needing his father's strength while also grappling with the reality of his situation wasn't lost on him.

"I—I don't know, Appa," Jimin admitted, his voice muffled against V's shoulder. "Everything feels so messed up."

V pulled back slightly, searching Jimin's eyes for the answers he sought. "You don't have to face this alone, Jimin. Whatever it is, we'll handle it together." The sincerity in his voice wrapped around Jimin like a protective shield, offering reassurance that resonated deep within his heart.

Jimin took a deep breath, the heaviness in his chest easing just a fraction under the weight of his father's unwavering support. "I just... I don't want to hurt Taehyung," he confessed, vulnerability lacing his words. "He's already dealing with so much."

V nodded, understanding the complexities of their situation. "I know, son. But sometimes, the truth can be painful. It's not your fault."

"Yeah dad. They said we'll get the reports tomorrow morning." Jimin spoke then coughed a bit.

"DAD!! Can we go back home?" Jimin's voice trembled slightly, laced with discomfort. "I don't feel good... My head is spinning..." He rubbed his temple with a frown, the smell of the hospital mingling with antiseptic and medicines swirling around him like a relentless storm. "It always makes my head dizzy."

V's heart tightened at the sight of his son in distress. Without hesitation, he nodded, the decision settling in him like a warm promise. "Alright, let's get you out of here," he replied softly, leading Jimin out of the hospital's fluorescent-lit corridors. The exit felt like a breath of fresh air, a sanctuary away from the sterile environment that had suffocated Jimin's spirit.

As they approached the car, Jimin hesitated for a moment, the weight of his emotions threatening to overwhelm him again. "I'll sit at the back, Dad," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, a plea for a little space to gather his thoughts.

"why?" V asked cause Jimin always sits in front and keep changing songs.

"I feel tired, so I'll take a nap... wake me up when we reach," Jimin murmured, his eyelids growing heavy as he settled into the seat. The exhaustion of the day weighed on him like a thick blanket, and all he wanted was a moment of peace.

"Of course," V replied, his understanding evident in the gentle way he opened the back door for Jimin. As his son settled into the seat, V couldn't shake the feeling of protectiveness that swelled within him. He wanted to shield Jimin from everything—pain, confusion, and the harsh realities of their lives.

Once Jimin was inside, V slid into the driver's seat, glancing in the rearview mirror. He saw Jimin leaning back against the headrest, his eyes fluttering closed, fighting the dizziness that threatened to pull him under.

"You're going to be alright," V reassured him, starting the engine and feeling the familiar rumble beneath them.  "Sure, my mochi... sleep well," V replied, affection threading through his words. He couldn't resist the endearment, the nickname that had stuck since Jimin was a child.

"Don't call me that," Jimin whined, though a small smile crept onto his face despite his best efforts to appear annoyed.

"why?"

"only taehyungie & appa can call me that." Jimin mumbled with a pout before sleeping. He was very tired after landing off in S Korea. Since three days, he has been travelling here & there without a proper rest.

V chuckled softly, the sound lightening the atmosphere in the car. It was moments like these that reminded him of simpler times, when Jimin's biggest concern was which toy to play with next. As he started the engine, he could still see traces of that little boy in his son, even amidst the weighty troubles they faced now.

V  glanced at Jimin through the rearview mirror. He looked peaceful, a serene expression gracing his features as he leaned against the window. The world outside blurred into a mix of colors and shapes, but inside the car, it was just the two of them—a cocoon of comfort amidst the chaos of their lives.

"Just a little while longer," he murmured to himself, knowing that soon they would be home, where Jimin could rest and heal away from the burdens that threatened to weigh him down.

Jimin could only nod lazily in response, his head heavy and thoughts drifting like clouds in the sky. He realized, almost in a distant way, that he hadn't even eaten lunch; a hollow feeling settled in his stomach, making him feel weaker still. The combination of exhaustion and hunger tugged at him, and he wished he could escape the looming worries for just a little while longer.

As the car moved steadily through the streets, the scenery shifting outside the window, the reality of their mission began to sink in. They were on their way to free their beloved one from a trap, a weighty responsibility that felt heavier than any physical burden. V's heart raced at the thought of what lay ahead, the potential dangers hidden in the shadows. He was driven by an unwavering determination to bring some semblance of peace into his children's lives. The thought of their struggles gnawed at him, and he longed to shield them from every hardship.

He glanced at Jimin in the rearview mirror again, taking in his son's tired form. Each moment spent worrying about Jimin's well-being made the stakes feel even higher. With every turn they took, V's resolve solidified. He would do whatever it took to protect his sons, to guide them through the labyrinth of uncertainty they faced. In the depths of his heart, he believed that love could break through the darkest traps, that hope could light their way even when everything seemed lost.

And there laid an angel.

A sweet Jiminie who was trying to mend Taehyung's tangled life unaware of the lurking danger which is yet to come.
