Ok,let's talk about Nico de Angelo.the little dark chocolate muffin that we all love.i.freaking.love.Nico.at the start I was like"ok,he's a innocent child.what else is there?"then he lost his sister and he turned into a emo....just as soon as he showed up at the ranch in the battle of the labyrinth I went"I love you,you are my child."and then I spiraled into the same obsession I have with Keith today:it's a cute emo that must be protected.i'll just search up Nico fanart and fangirl like no tomorrow 😂.

Alright,back to business.Nico's character arch is beautiful and the way he acts after Bianca tells him that she's ok and shouldn't hold a grudge with Percy is amazing,Nico chooses not to use deadulos's soul to bring back Bianca and he generally tries to act like Percy's friend.Nico did ignore Bianca's warning in the last Olympian but that was because he had a new goal to get answers,I find it amazing that when Nico puts his mind to it he can do great things and would seriously get himself hurt if Percy letted him protect him and go out to fight in the last Olympian.he tries to prove himself to Percy and uses his powers to help him,for being so young he acts like Percy's age and nothing feels rushed when it comes to Nico.he betrayed Percy because of the temptation for answers and made it in the deal for no harm to come to Percy which can make you respect him even though he's being a traitor in Percy's eyes,also....can someone tell me if Nico is canon as gay?please?i really wanna know.
