Chapter nineteen- Jefferson you fat arrogant loud-mouth national embarrassment
(A/N Warnings: Getting beat up, manipulation, controlling... lets just say Jefferson is back. This chapter is a couple hundred words shorter then usual, may feel a bit rushed, although I came up with the best insult ever so its all okay [An insult that's a paragraph long])
Five days later, I was not mad at John anymore. He apologized multiple times, until I could bare it no longer, and jumped into his arms very dramatically. I will never be able to be mad at him, its too hard. I held his hand as we walked down the hallways towards Care of Magical Creatures class, which I was looking forward too.
Through the library, I learned my creature was an Occamy. They have a snake like body, coated in iridescent blue and purple feathers, with bird wings and a bird beak. They can shrink and grow in size, and are very hard to tame. I've been feeding it bugs, which it seems to love, and I temporarily named it Blue.
I smiled up at John as we talked, lovingly staring into his eyes. I know, a bit creepy, but we where a couple so it was fine. John had started calling me 'Lexi' which I thought was insanely adorable and my heart melted every time he said it. I laughed quietly at a joke he just made.
That's when I ran into something, or someone.
"Alexander," Jefferson's voice drooled.
I froze in place, avoiding eye contact.
"I've been looking for you," He said. "I know you want to get back with me, and just have not had the courage to break up with John. That's alright though, I can do it for you."
I tried to protest but my lips where sealed shut. I was able to force myself to move backwards, away from him. I accidentally glanced at his eyes. Now I was completely frozen, held by his evil gaze.
"Come here baby," He said, reaching a hand to me.
"Lexi, stay away from him, get over here," I heard John say gently.
I couldn't. I couldn't move.
"Johnny, face it, he doesn't like you. Hes just been to afraid to break up with you, come here baby," Jefferson said, a smirk on his evil face.
Benjamin, Aaron and Charles came up behind him, evil glinting in their eyes.
"Come here, or John faces the ultimate punishment," Jefferson said suddenly, his tone changing from sweet to pure evil and demanding.
"Lexi, don't do it, come here," John hissed from behind me.
Suddenly Charles and Aaron broke away from their friends and walked towards John. I was able to pry my eyes away from Jefferson to watch as they punched him.
"Stop!" I wailed in fear.
"Come here babe," Jefferson commanded.
"D-don't Le-" John was interrupted by his out terrifying scream as he was kicked in the face.
"Stop... Please," I begged, turning towards Jefferson.
"Come here then," Jefferson smirked.
I slowly walked towards him, fidgeting my fingers together. I took a glance over my shoulder to see Charles taking out his wand.
"Don't hurt him, please," I said as I stood right next to Jefferson.
"Cruci-"
"Stop," Jefferson interrupted Charles.
I stared in horror at Johns body on the floor. Blood poured out of him, and he flinched, and whimpered like a dying puppy. And they where about to use Crucio. One of the worst spells in the universe. It was forbidden, punishable by prison. The torture curse, making unbearable pain come to those it has been cast on.
I shivered as Jefferson wrapped his arm around me, and turned me away from my boyfriend. I tried to glance back at him, but Aaron blocked my view. Tears began to stream down my face as I walked away with Jefferson down the hallway, leaving Johns body behind.
*~*
I shivered on the floor, watching through the blood as Alexander was forced away from me. He shouldn't have done it. I thought, tears streaming down my cheeks uncontrollably. Now he was going to be tortures forever. Now I was the worst bodyguard ever. The whole point of my job was to protect him from Jefferson, and I failed. I failed my only purpose. I failed to keep my Lexi safe.
I cried on the ground, curling into the tightest ball I could, trying to ignore all the pain.
"John?" I heard somebody say.
"J-JOHN!?" They shouted.
I couldn't tell who they where. Now that I think about it, my vision was going blurry. Soon I only heard muffled noises, and then I only saw darkness. My Lexi, stay safe. I love you. I'm coming to get you. I swear I- My thoughts where cut off by my consciousness slipping away.
*~*
I woke up in the hospital wing, blinking to see the bright lights seeping in through the windows. I rubbed my head, then sat up in the bed. I looked around to see Alex there, his head face planted into the mattress, he seemed to be asleep. It reminded me of how I waited for him to wake up after that fateful Quidditch game.
"Lexi," I said softly, reaching out to pet his hair.
He mumbled something then lifted his head up, his eyes meeting with mine. My eyes grew wide. He had bigger bags then ever under his eyes, he had a couple scratches on his face, his hair as clumped together and full of dirt, his hands look like they had been squeezed until they lost circulation.
"What happened to you?" I asked, reaching down and hugging him, ignoring the pain coming from everywhere in my body.
"Jefferson," He mumbled, wrapping his arms around me.
"That rat," I hissed through a face full of hair.
"Don't hurt him. Its okay, as long as you're safe. If you hurt him then hes going to hurt you more and I wont be able to bare it," Alex said, I could hear he was crying.
"How did you get away from him to visit me?" I asked.
"I asked him to let me go and he did, I have to meet back up with him later," Alex sighed, still holding onto me.
"Don't," I said firmly, slowly letting go of him.
"I have to," His voice wavered. "Hes becoming better, really."
"Sure, and what rules does he have for you," I asked.
"Um well I'm not allowed to touch other people then him, especially you I have to stay two feet away from you, I have to stay by his side and ask permission to leave, I can't keep secrets from him, and I have to call him either Tommy, daddy, babe, baby, honey, love or bae," Alex said.
"Daddy? disgusting. Hes going down," I said, popping my knuckles.
"Please John, don't," Alex pleaded.
"Why wouldn't I?" I asked, glaring into his eyes soaked with tears.
"B-because he swore he would hurt you. He said if he saw you alone again he would beat you up to 'Protect' me. You can't, I swear John, I am fine," Alex said, his tears where easing up.
"Fine. I wont go murder him. But I am formulating a plan to get you free," I said, brutal images running through my head. A million plans I could use, spells, curses, traps.
"If you're going to get me free, do it legally and maybe tell a teacher. No force," Alex said sternly.
All the plans in my head suddenly disappeared. There's no legal way to get revenge.
"Fine," I said.
"Thank you. Now I have to reconvene with him," Alex said, giving me one last hug, then standing up and sprinting away.
How could I let this happen? How could I let him get captured by that demonic shit?! Yes, I swore! I could swear my face out at him.
That fat, pompous, idiotic, short-tempered, illiterate, careless, clueless, mouth-breather, worm-face, snob-headed, camel turd, fox-hearted, piece of mouse-dung, useless, cruel, arrogant, loud-mouth, demonic turd, national embarrassment known as Thomas Jefferson!
I don't care that Alex sees the good in that guy, or if he just wants to protect me, I'm going after him.
I'm assembling my gang, readying up for war, making a plan, to get rid of Jefferson and his lunatic minions. We could have code names, outposts, train with new spells, and start an all-out war. We could convince Alex to bring them to our favorite field, that would alter be splattered with blood after we ambush them.
Plans filled my brain. Jefferson was not going to get away this time. Not with my Lexi. Alex meant the entire world to me, and I will get rid of any threat towards him. Lets go to war.
WHO'S WITH ME!!??
