A/N: already I'm in a new home and I am already full of fleas. What the hell?! I feel like a dog. But that's not important. Enjoy another Sonadow chapter, even though they're not together yet.

Morning had hit Sonic's eye and it only made him want to close the blinds. But he knew he couldn't due to his arm and to the fact he was in a hospital. She rubbed his eyes with his other arm and yawn. "I hate mornings." He groaned.
Sonic had never felt so bored of being asleep. But he then turned his head to Shadow, who was sleeping in the chair. He snores loudly and was laying against the cold silver bar of Sonic's bed.
Sonic smirked and just kept repeating on his head of how cute Shadow look. He looked like a little kid who finally got some sleep from a play date. "Oh my gosh. So cute." He whispered. He was certainly lucky it didn't wake him up.
He then brighten with an idea. He would probably get killed but it would be worth it in his opinion. He reached over to Shadow, let his hand grabbed Shadow's right ear, and began to lightly tickle his ear. It was so gentle and soft. It felt like a feather was tickling Shadow's ear.
Shadow felt the tiny tickles on his ear and finally woke up. He shot up from the bar and glared at Sonic. "Stop it."
"I'm sorry man." Sonic chuckled. "I couldn't resist."
"You better have slept good cause I spent a whole three hours watching a lame race for nothing."
"Sorry about that. This is why I don't watch TV much and why I rather play a game."
"Well I'm not in risk of having you break your arm even more and me having to explain."
"Can I have it back by the way?"
"No."
Sonic then pouted. "Aw man."
Shadow only nodded of how he was acting so much like a child. He then left him alone for a while.

Later that day...

Bonk!
Bonk!
Bonk!
Both hedgehogs were bored out of their minds. Sonic kept throwing the ball against the wall as it came back to him. He kept repeating the bounce. Shadow, on the other hand, was trying to look at his bills. He was able to use Chaos Control and get some papers to work on his bills. He only hope he had a plan.
The bouncing of the ball though really irritated him. He growled a bit loud, hoping Sonic would get the message. So far he wasn't loud enough.
"Will you stop that?" He said in irritation.
Sonic then looked at him puzzled. "Stop what?"
Shadow could tell the blue hedgehog was messing with him. He then grabbed the ball as it was coming back to Sonic and said "Stop throwing the ball so much and quit being a baby."
"Well excuse me for being so bored."
"Well what exactly do you want to do? Other than playing your ridiculous game."
"... That just ruined my answer." He joked. He then tried to think of something. "Umm... I don't know. Usually I just eat chili dogs, play the game, and run around."
Shadow never thought Sonic could be so... eventful? Seemed the little blue guy was gonna need something to do so Shadow won't kill him.
Sonic noticed Shadow had his phone in his hand and was starting to get an idea. "Can I use your phone?"
Shadow only looked puzzled at him. "Why?"
"So I could text Knuckles. It's fun to annoy him. One time I actually made him believe Rouge was gonna take the Chaos Emeralds away and once he was away from the Master Emerald and came back to it, it was gone. Rouge took it."
"Did he get it back?" Shadow asked.
"Yep. It wasn't easy for him one bit though. So can I?"
"Uh no."
Sonic's smile then went away. "Why not?"
"Because I prefer you not to do that on my phone. People are gonna think it's me. Also, it's my phone. You can suck it up."
Sonic groaned and laid against his pillow more bored than ever. He threw a look at Shadow again and saw him put his phone in his lap. Shadow went back to his bills. Sonic smirked with another idea shouting in his mind. He then reached slowly towards Shadow's lap and then quickly grabbed it away laughing.
Shadow noticed it was gone and saw the blue hedgehog playing on the phone. "Sonic, give me back my phone." He said trying to stay calm.
"Just give me a sec." He said not looking at him. He began to type something.
Uh oh.
"No more fooling around. Give it to me."
"Just another five seconds man."
"Sonic!"
"Done!" He had a playful look on his face as he gave the phone back to his black friend.
Shadow grabbed it away relieved to have it again. But he noticed how Sonic still had his smirk on. That wasn't really a good sight for him. He turned on his phone to see what he has done. He then had the face of anger back on.
Sonic's laughter was in the air. Shadow's expression was too hilarious for him. Sonic seems very impressive when it's pranking someone on a phone.
Shadow then dropped his phone and gritted his teeth. He grabbed Sonic's chest and bang him against the pillow growling. "I'm gonna kill you! You are such an idiot!"
"That's just how I role!" Sonic laughed still.
Shadow then threw his fist back, ready to pounce him, but that never happened.
"Shadow Hedgehog!"
Shadow looked down and felt a bit embarrassed with what he was doing.
"Put him down! He's already injured enough." Rouge flew up to the two hedgehogs and pulled Shadow away off the bed. Omega did his best not to let his robotic laughter get out of hand.
Shadow finally let go of Sonic and let him drop to his bed sheets. He was only still for the fact that Rouge was holding him back. He was strong, but she is certainly stronger. "He started it!"
"Doesn't matter. Just chill." Rouge said.
"Do I want to know what just happened in here?" Blaze asked as she and Silver walked into the hospital room.
"E123 Omega believes nope." Omega said. "It was very disturbing. Luckily, the one, known as Sonic, is not anymore injured."
"That's good to hear." Silver said.
Sonic tried not to laughed by how embarrassed Shadow was. His blush was too resistible.
Blaze only looked disgusted and felt guilt as she looked at the blue hedgehog. "Wow. You weren't kidding when you said he was injured Silver."
"Yep. It's pretty bad." He said.
"Luckily," Omega said. "I am here to see how much progress you are making by laying in bed healing. But judging by how you were almost attack, there's probably not much progress that has been made."
"You and me both Omega." Sonic said.
Shadow only growled as he was still being held by the bat. "Now if you'll excuse us ladies and gentlemen," Rouge said as she was starting to push Shadow out of the bedroom. "I'm gonna have a talk with mr. Dark here."
They agreed and only had a few conversations with the blue hedgehog.
Rouge pushed him outside the room and crossed her arms. "Now start explaining mister."
"It's not my fault!" Shadow said. "He did the most ridiculous thing ever to me!"
"And what is that exactly?"
"This!" He then grabbed his phone and shoved it towards her to see the screen. She read the screen and was a bit surprised herself.
Seemed it was a text message to Silver. She was a bit surprised Shadow had his number. But what surprised her more was the text that was sent to Silver.

"I think you're cute ;3 you and me bang? ❤️"

"I didn't text that to him! He did!" Shadow growled.
Rouge couldn't help but laugh at the situation. It was a bit funny. But he manage herself to stop and said "I can see why now."
"So can I kill him?"
"I don't think so."
Now Shadow was the one who was pouting.
"What I don't get is why are you sticking around with him if you're just gonna get annoyed with him?"
"Amy promised she give me a hundred rings if I watch the idiot."
Something was odd about Rouge to the black hedgehog after he answered her. Her eyes were lift up a bit and she looked as if someone had stolen her most favorite gem. Shock was the word that remain on her face. "What?"
"You're.... watching him for rings?" She asked.
"Yes? Is there a problem?"
Rouge wasn't sure she should answer that. Knowing him, he probably ignore her forever. She threw him a small smile and said "Nope. And I'm guessing the rings are for your bills that you haven't paid."
He sighed a bit embarrassed. "Yes. I still have no way to pay them and if I don't do it soon. I'm kicked out of my own home."
"Well understand Shadow, you're only hurting him."
Shadow looked puzzled at his bat friend. He's known her for years and now she isn't really make much sense. What does she mean by hurting him? "What are you-"
"Hey Shadow." Silver interrupted him with a concern look. "Can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Most certain you can sweetie." Rouge said with a smile. She flew back into the room with Blaze and Omega but decide to ears drop the two hedgehogs. 'This will be interesting,' she thought.
"Listen, I got your text.." He said. "And I'm sorry but-"
"I didn't sent it Silver."
The white hedgehog look puzzled. "What?"
"I didn't send that text. Sonic did."
Silver sighed in relief. "Well that's good to hear. I had the feeling you didn't really text me that. Well, either that or you were playing a prank on me."
"Well I'm sorry but it wasn't me. Hate to ruin it for you."
"No I'm glad you did. Although I won't lie, I was a bit flatter-"
"Okay this is getting weird."
"Yep. I'm going back in there." He ran into the room as fast as he could to stay away from Shadow from that awkward moment.
Shadow watched as the friends were surrounding the hedgehog. He only smirked of how ridiculous they all look. His stomach woke him up to reality. He was a bit hungry. He figure since everyone is with him, he could get some lunch from the hospital's cafeteria.
"He'll be fine." He said and headed down the hallway.

One hour later...

Shadow felt his boredom grow in the cafeteria. He finally was able to be away from Sonic to relax but he wasn't very entertain by it. He ate three meals that have been passed and been on his phone ever since.
"Shadow." He heard Rouge's voice. He looked around for her but saw she was nowhere.
"Shadow, do you copy?"
He then realized it was his ring. She was communicating with him on his ring. He lifted his hand to face the ring and said "Yes?"
"You need to be back to the hospital room with Sonic. We're heading out."
He groaned. He really wasn't looking forward to being annoyed again with him. "Do you have to?"
She laughed. "I'm afraid so. See you soon Shadow!" Then she hung up.
He only rolled his eyes and began to leave the cafeteria. He figure since he's going back in the room, it might not be that bad. Maybe the blue hedgehog could keep him a bit entertain.
He finally reached to the room but he could hear Sonic talking to someone. He now didn't understand. But he didn't hear another person's voice though. He peek around the corner and saw the blue hedgehog talking on the phone.
He was gonna walk in but wanted to hear he hedgehog's conversation. He figure he was talking to Amy.
"Yes I got in here because a bunch of kids put burned dog poop on my porch." He said.
Laughter was made on the phone. He only rolled his eyes and said "What? Those kids I'm thinking about just calling their parents. It's ridiculous."
Shadow knew Amy knew about his accident. So he wasn't talking to Amy. But who then?
"Oh sure laugh." Sonic said. "Laughter from the guy who stole half of the jewel stores and got a wedgie from one." He smirked knowing that would be a funny sight.
There was a small pause.
"No I haven't called mom yet. I was thinking about doing it tomorrow."
There was another pause. This time Sonic looked surprised.
"No I'm not telling her! You're lucky I'm not killing you because of it."
Shadow wondered what they were talking about. Mostly who he was talking to. But he got one answered cleared.
"Manic I just can't tell her. I may not be into royalty like Sonia but if mom ever finds out about it, I might be a disgrace for our family."
Shadow wondered if it was about his injury. There no reason to be a disgrace if you're injured. That's silly.
"Well I gotta go. Thanks for calling man. Bye now." Then he hung up and laid back against the bed looking so worried.
Shadow finally felt e could come into the hospital room. He found the blue hedgehog on his bed with a sad look. It wasn't like him to be sad. He couldn't help but feel pretty bad for the blue hedgehog. "Who were you talking to?" He asked.
"My brother Manic." Sonic said not looking at him. He didn't even bother to smile at Shadow.
"Was he calling to see if you're alright?"
"Yep. Him and Sonia heard."
Still there was no happiness or anything positive to him.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm gonna go to bed. Night Shadow." Still had no happiness on Sonic's face and he drifted off to sleep.
Shadow began to kinda worry for him. He's never seen Sonic like this before.
But he didn't believe he shouldn't worry. Family problems were the last thing Shadow wanted.
"Maybe tonight will be peaceful." He said quietly to himself.
He walked towards his chair and drifted to sleep as well. Hopefully rest will make them both feel better.
