Home away from home

Max curled up on the floor of the TARDIS. The room he was in was in was a bright white room, with roundels on the walls and a large computer bank taking up a major part of the "back" wall. These computer banks contained the fault locator and various systems relating to navigational control.

Max didn't really have time to pack a bag for this. Everything happened so quickly and so last-minute he didn't even have time to pack. The only clothes he had on where the ones he was wearing.

He rolled around on the floor as he tried getting comfortable, but to no avail. He did this for about almost three hours before giving up on the idea of sleep. He sat up and looked at the door. "Maybe it wouldn't hurt to look outside?" Max thought to himself as he walked to the door and opened it up slightly.

He stuck his head out as he looked outside. He blinked a few times before stepping out and looking outside. The sun was rising as a new day was approaching. He rubbed his hands together nervously before stepping out. The sun beamed down on his pale face as he stepped out. He looked around. The area seemed peaceful enough. That didn't stop him from being cautious though.

He looked around and stepped out further. He looked around and took a breath a relief as he began to relax. Until he heard a bell, ringing a whistle blow. Max jumped nervously and looked behind him in the direction of the sound. A cop on a bike was pedaling up to him and stopped in front of him.

Cop: Sir, I'm going to need to see some ID.

Max looked at the man, both nervously and puzzled.

Max: Did I do something wrong, sir?

Cop: I'll say you did. Parked your little...what is that?

Max: That's a TARDIS, sir.

Cop: Parking a TARDIS in a public park, and wearing funny clothes on a Sunday.

Max looked at his outfit. He was wearing the usual gallifreyan clothing.

Max: But I-

Cop: Tell it to the judge.

He gave Max a ticket and sped off. Max looked at the ticket and put in his pocket.

Max: Maybe they don't like gallifreyans in these parts.

Max walked back to the TARDIS, and tried opening it up, but the door was stuck. Max's eyes widened and both his hearts sank. He started pulling and tugging at the door. Max paniced as he tugged and pulled. The TARDIS had locked him out.

Max: Oh no. Oh no no no no no no!! Oh! What am I going to do!

Max stopped pulling at the door and paced the ground as he was trying to think.

Meanwhile, Shinobu Miyake, was walking in the same area. She was very short and skinny. She has short straight brown hair and black eyes. She was wearing a white sweater and red skirt. As she walked past the park, she heard someone mumbling to themself. Curious, she decided to check it out. She looked over and saw a skinny, tall, male.

The male had white hair and looked rather young. He had Caucasian white skin, and red eyes. He was tall and lanky. He looked to be about five foot nine. He seemed both nervous and upset about something as he was walking around what looked like a small silver dome.

Max: Ok, how do I get in. Think, think, think...

She slowly approached the male.

Shinobu: Excuse me?

Max jumped in fright and looked at her.

Max: Oh...hello?

Shinobu: Is something bothering you?

Max: Well, actually yes. My TARDIS locked me out and I'm not sure why.

Shinobu raised an eyebrow and looked at him confused.

Shinobu: TARDIS?

Max: Yes. It's the primary space-time vehicle used by the Time Lords of Gallifrey allowing them to travel throughout the universe. Well, was the.

Shinobu looked at him puzzled. She figured he'd been outside too long and his mind cracked.

Shinobu: Do you, live in there?

Max: I suppose so. I don't have any home to go to.

Max looked up at the sky as he said that. A sad look was on his face. As Shinobu looked at his face, she knew that something terrible must have had happened to his family.

Shinobu: Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bring up anything bad.

Shinobu looked at him with remorse and clasped her hands together.

Max looked at the sky. He could still hear the screams. The cries. And the burning screams of those words "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate! Daleks are supreme!"

Max shuttered and shivered as he remembered those painful words. Tears were building up at the corners of his eyes. Shinobu looked at him with remorse. She couldn't help but wonder what had happened to him.

Shinobu: Hey, would you wanna go to the flower shop with me?

Shinobu felt bad for him and thought that maybe he'd like some company. Max looked at her as he pondered the question for a bit.

Max: Yes please...I think.
