Midnight's POV:

The cage I was inside wasn't what I'd expect it to be. It was more of a hard mesh tray with a blanket for me and Faith to rest on. Nothing was blocking us from leaving. We were in the lap of one of the Clicas that had captured us.

The female stroked my back gently as we continued to zoom through space. Well... it was more like we were in a cool bluish white tube, with other colors blipping here and there. I think mom would call this "hyperspace" but I'm not sure why.

Suddenly we came out of hyperspace and in front of a planet. It looked to be covered by a huge, angry storm cloud. Even from here I could see lightning flashing as minuscule white specks.

We came closer to the planet. The captain announced gently. "Ok guys! We're here!"

The other five Clicas, including the one that held us, all replied with excited chitters. Me and Faith exchanged glances as we gazed outside the window.

We went down, down through the thick murky clouds, and came out on the other side. It was drizzling, but only a little. We were right above the sea and coming towards a very large island. It had big twisting trees, suited for constant heavy rains. And there were several caves here too. Oh, and this dome-shaped building that looked like a parking lot (whatever that is).

The ship we were in went inside the dome building, then landed. Our ship was pill-shaped and had insect-like legs, and its triangular wings folded up once we landed.

"Time to get out of here." The female that held us said, having a tight grip on our tray as she got up.

She and the other members of this squad went out of the ship, then out the dome building. But instead of taking a way that went to the now-raining outside, we went into a cave.

The tunnel we traveled in was huge nonetheless, having beautiful greenish blue moss lighting the interior. Vines of similar color hung above us, some having yellow bulb fruits dangling on their ends. I glanced at Faith, who looked as awestruck as me from how tranquil this place was.

We continued along this path for a few minutes, when we saw what looked like a metal porch with a wooden house on it that was halfway inside the tunnel walls. Once we approached it, I spotted a cardboard box on the porch with no address.

"What do you think is inside the box?" The Clica holding us said innocently, looking down at us.

...were you asking us? I pressed myself against the blanket and flattened my ears, then looked at the box as the captain opened it with his claws.

He pushed away the folds and took out... another slime cat? He set them on the floor in front of us, then suddenly went into the house with the other Clicas. The one holding us set our tray down in the porch, then followed the others into the house.

Weird. I focused my attention on the slime cat, who was currently a cow-patterned blob. I relaxed a little, as Faith whispered. "Hello? You awake?"

Her whisper caused the slime cat to stir, coming out of their blob and taking the shape of us. Except their appearance was different... not only were there gills on their neck, but they had webbed paws and a third eye!

They stretched themself, yawned and looked at me directly instead of Faith. I pressed myself into the tray even more. "Hello there." I said awkwardly after a few seconds.

They smirked. "Ah... I remember you. Do you remember me?" They asked.

Their voice was very familiar. The only way I could describe it was as it being Canadian... whatever that is. I hesitantly shook my head. "N-no... but you seem familiar for some reason..."

"I bet." They replied. Then I heard their voice in my head, and I froze. "Does this ring a bell?"

Memories came back to me. I nodded rapidly and got up on my feet. "Yes! Yes it does!" It all makes sense now! "You're Jirrel! The one that sent me the electric mind message!"

"Correct." He smirked, winking at me. "I see this group decided to bring you over so we could meet face to face-"

"Wait Midnight this is where you discovered it??" Faith blurted, causing me to stare at her. "I thought it was because..." she stopped, "never mind. Continue."

Jirrel nodded. "Ok so yeah. These Clicas brought you over so we could talk, and so they could comparar us."

"Cool." I said.

We remained in awkward silence. Faith looked up at the flora, still glowing calmly. Despite literally being kidnapped and brought here against our wills, this place had a sense of serenity and security that made me feel at home.

It was like this planet was patting me on the back and saying, "Everything's going to be alright."

"So are we gonna do anything or just... sit here?" Faith deadpanned, a horribly bored expression on her face.

Jirrel's body glowed a little. "Oh! We can do something! Do you two like tea?"

Tea? The faint memories said that it was a bunch of herbs and dried plants in a bag that you brew in hot water. Then you drink the brew and eat the bag.

"What's that?" Me and my sister asked in unison.

He facepalmed, then sighed a bit. "Sorry, I forgot you two aren't from here. Come along, I'll show you!" He motioned with a hand, turning around.

Being children, we had no choice but to follow the cool uncle I wish I had.
