There goes Hawaii
There there there goes Hawaii
Oh there goes Hawaii
The island is gone.
There goes Hawaii-
!!!
My eyes flew open. I'm back at home?
I was in a small bed-like nook on a shelf, or rather, a shelf in a bedroom. I rested my chin on the edge of it and looked around.
Seika was directly on the other side, also in one of these bed thingies. They were still asleep. There was a ledge there instead of a shelf that had a window behind it.
Near the ledge was a miniature tree where Heather was. He was staring into my soul.
"Hello?" I mewed softly.
Heather blinked, then shifted his position and kept staring at me. Suddenly Seika began to stir and wake up.
They lifted their head and looked at me with tiredness before turning into joyful surprise. They caterwauled. "Katy!!! You're awake!"
I yawned. "Yeah... had a weird dream though..."
They immediately got up and flew over to me. They loomed over me from the left. "Are you ok? Do you need anything? What was-"
"Calm your scales!" I put a hand on their snout, making them flinch. "I'm fine, and I could use a purple lemon."
They sighed in relief, and turned around. "Ok good... I'll go get one. The Kymari are out sorting something with the Clicas because..." their voice faded away as they flew out.
I hummed to myself, looking down to see myself in spread form. I shifted to normal form and stood up, stepping out of the bed. I stretched myself out like a cat, then lunged, allowing my lower half to feel the same bliss.
Seika returned with a purple lemon in their mouth. They set it in front of me. "Liki stocked up on them ever since we found you."
Before I could even think to dig in, a dark thought entered my mind. I looked them dead in the eye and said. "Seika... how long was I out?"
"Oh... about three weeks..." they said somewhat casually.
"Three weeks?!" I gasped, quickly reducing the purple lemon to nothing. "That's pretty long Seika... did.... did anything else happen while I was out...?"
The silver dragonet thought for a moment, tapping their claws against the shelf. "Um... not really. But some rogue Clicas 'accidentally' kidnapped this white and black slime cat. They're now being pursued. More formal Clicas are sorting matters with our handlers." They explained like this was a normal thing.
I felt myself glow in surprised anger. "WHAAAAT?!?"
They flinched. "I-I know! We don't even know why they did that!"
"I hope that slime cat is ok..." I looked up at the ceiling. "...and those Clicas who took them can kiss their quarters goodbye."
Heather made a weird shrilly squeak noise and flew off his perch toward us. He landed on the bed. He made a few bobbing motions before flaring his wings and bobbing again.
I squinted at him. He make biscuits with his talons and jumped up, hovering in place. He then flew out the door and made that squeaky noise again.
We looked at each other. Seika flapped their wings and trilled. "What are we waiting for? Lets go! You haven't flown around in three weeks!"
I shifted into flying form and hovered above the bed. Strange, I thought I would be weak for not moving in awhile. They flew out and I followed them into the main room.
Heather was on the same couch as usual. He looked like he was waiting for something. I flew into the kitchen, and then to the fridge, which was opened by this hidden lever from what I've learned.
Using my tail, I pulled the lever and opened the fridge. There were several fruits, including watermelon, cantaloupe, PURPLE LEMONS!... sunburst berries... shia fruit, and other stuff I somewhat recognized.
"Pull the lever, Kronk!" Seika trilled in my head.
"Ok..." But first I took out a few of those berries (yuck) and a slice of cantaloupe and setting them on a counter. Once I did that I pulled the lever again.
The fridge closed. They flew past me and shrieked. "Wrong lever!"
"Are you trying to reference something?" I asked them, landing on the counter and shifting into simple form.
"They're always trying to reference something." A girl's voice made me froze.
It was in English.
Seika landed beside me, sending a huge mix of shock and confusion to me.
We looked to the backyard door, and there was a girl there. She had fair skin and brown hair that had a strange gold shimmer to it. She was wearing a black T-shirt with a white line through it with 1971 on the right. She also had jeans and a small leather purse with an eye-like indent in the middle. She didn't have eyes, only empty sockets with blood stains on her cheeks like she was crying.
She smirked and waved at us. "How you hangin, Katy?"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW US?!" We shouted.
The girl frowned, then opened her purse and took out her phone. It was an iPhone 6s. She put it back and sighed. "Never mind. Cash wants to have us meet back at Bri's server."
Blood rolled down her face like it was tears. And then in a small burst of blackness, she vanished.
We stared at where she once was.
Seika looked at me and said. "...have you watched The Emperor's New Groove?"
I shook my head. "No? Should I?"
They looked shocked. "Yes! Then a bunch of memes will make sense for you!"
"Ooooooooooh..." I slowly nodded, seeing how this is all coming together.
Somehow I still remember that one from years ago.
But... I feel like I missed something recently... like it just happened and it's unexplainable in every way.
"Oh well!" They chimed and popped a sunburst berry in their mouth. "Now you know."
I giggled and brought the cantaloupe slice in front of me. "Yeah... now I do know..."

YOOOOOO
Guess who's back from the dead?
Actually I've always been here, just working on other stories since I had an idea block for this story for awhile.
But!
I finally have a plot idea to continue this shell of a story.
And I have a new cover! See?
Sexy, isn't it?
Those newbies will be important later!
And remember: Scotland has butterscotch, a lot of rain, and most importantly, tax fraud problems
