Katy's POV:
Still with this spaghetti person, watching him making something with a far-more advanced 3d blender. It looked like a ring, or more likely, something for me. Seika just vanished off the mind link, leaving me border than ever.
The Kymari stretched himself, getting up and heading back to the unseeable hall. I took this time to web climb onto the ceiling and hang around. Literally.
I'm upside down, peacefully hanging despite not having the Rain Dance to calm myself. In fact, it reminded me of Peter's cat, who got used to him in about two days. Though that might not matter now, the rescuer came back with something in his giant hands.
He paid no attention to me with his eyes, but the surprised expression on his face told me he was secretly watching. His journey ended once he sat back on the couch. Whatever he's holding smells really good, so good that I dropped down from above and came slightly closer to him. His hand opened to reveal, the beautiful, and devastatingly delicious, purple lemons.
My body lit up in delight, earning another odd look from this Kymari. Before I could paw at the cage door, he beat me to it. Several hinges unlatched and the exit was open. I put a paw out, feeling the table's cold and smooth texture.
Though, it didn't last long, because I stretched myself to reach for the fruit. To my surprise it was much farther away than I thought, so I put myself on his leg. Gathering all of myself on this spot, I once more lengthened myself to nab the treasured food.
Though I was still too short, only able to reach the edge of his hand. Despite my nervousness, I still pulled myself up and sat on the rim. At this point, I couldn't wait to taste purple lemons again. Without giving him any time to react, I wrapped my proboscis around a piece of the fruit, greedily reducing it to an empty skin. There were two more pieces of it, but I finished them before you could say "how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood" three times fast.
After finishing off the last piece, I quickly darted back into my cage, backing against the barred wall. He swiftly closed the cage door, and got up with the lemon skins in hand. How did he know those were desired by our kind? Either way, they must have something to secretly watch us, which is why we never see them near the purple lemon bush.
Hmm... now thinking about it, the dragonets must had have an adventure if they got some injury, or in my case, got high enough to be brought into Kymari care. Maybe it's why Seika's voice on the link was a little funny.
The door on the far right made a calm jingle, causing my carer to teleport over there. My eyes widened in awe, because that door split in two, the separated sections going into the wall. Another spaghetti person came in with something off of this world on his shoulder. It looked like someone gave a gravestone wings, and called it a creature.
Whatever it was, it gave me Kirby's mass attack vibes.
"It seems to be doing well. Has it tried to electrocute you yet Liki?" The gravestone Kymari spoke.
My carer shook his head. "Oddly enough, no. The fire lizards and these... slime cats... seem to have a pattern among them. I've never seen anything attack a Pyrikan, especially when the species tends to stay underground most of its life."
I felt my ears perk up. Yes... we're slime cats. The gravestone bird yawned, briefly glancing at me with his care taker. "Curses, that eliminates one of my theories of the slime cats' behavior."
Liki also glanced at me. "You think a little too hard Indi."
They came to the couch right of me, and sat down to talk about several theories about us. I payed no attention to it, because most of it isn't true. Them spaghettis think they're clever by theorizing we have a special coating that protects us from fire, but we don't. All of us are 98% water, and 2% creature. How we didn't completely shrivel up from the fire, I have no clue.
Watching the gravestone bird carefully, I learned that its name is Heather, and despite the feminine name it's a he. This companion is pretty mellow about everything, but is extremely fierce when he needs to be. Or that is, according to Indi.
Speaking of Indi, him and Liki smell almost identical. I wouldn't be surprised if they were brothers. Moving my position into one more comfortable, I took a good look at the several patterns made by light reflecting on the window. It's mesmerizing, but not enough to make me brainwashed.
"Should we invite others? Like father?"
"Yes, indeed. It wouldn't be a celebration without father, but not at my place."
"But I'm also very busy at my-"
"Liar. It's time we try this tradition at your house, because I have company, AKA this slime cat."
"You still need to give it a name if you're willing to tame such a creature."
So... you want to gain my trust, and have us be partners like Heather with Indi? Seems reasonable, but I liked my freedom better.
"I hadn't decided yet Indi. There are lots of fitting names, but none of them shine out."
"You can't take Heather's name for it. He's already taken that name."
"Duh, but I'm still trying..." this is a first. Liki sounded a little whiney. From all our observations, most Kymari are good at hiding their emotions, except these two.
Maybe they do so outside, because Indi here is very naive. If they are brothers, then Indi is the younger one.
They continued talking, and I got bored despite the interesting things they spoke of. Maybe too bored, because next thing I knew, I was asleep.
