September 11, 2001.

Garte strolled down the streets of New York City, with a smile that was laced with triumph and confidence on his face. He was so happy in life and he felt as if nothing could possibly bring him down at the state he was in. He was living with a beautiful wife named Zianna, their four year old boy which he had fell into an addiction of being around, named Garroth, their other three year old little boy named Zane, and their most recent child, Vylad, who was only one years old. He was absolutely loving life and felt like nothing could ruin it. Right? He walked into his work building, which just so happened to be one of the twin towers, in New York City. He smiled at everyone he passed by and gave a high five to a couple of his friends that worked on the first floor. He got to the elevator, swiping his work card in the slot machine beside it, causing the elevator doors to open up swiftly. He steps into the fairly large elevator, a few people behind him doing the same. There was a woman with shoulder length grey hair, sky blue colored eyes, pale skin, and red lips wearing a grey vest with a black shirt underneath and all of that was mixed with a simple pair of black pants. She smiled at Garte and waved slightly. "Long day already, hm?" She asks and Garte chuckles with a nod.

"Very. I just want to go home to my beautiful wife and kids. Can't wait for this day to be over," He responds, clicking his floor number on the elevator buttons. Another man walks into the elevator with a smile before the doors shut and proceed to carry them all to Garte's floor.

"Aw, same with me. I have an eight year old girl. What about you?"

"Three boys. Four, three, and one year olds," Garte smiles softly at the thought of his boys as the woman giggles.

"A full house, huh? Well watch out, that's how it was with my family, take out your camera, too, because soon your oldest is gonna be telling everyone what to do like a king," She tells him. Garte laughs and crosses his arms.

"I can't wait for the day that happens. It's going to be so fun to watch them argue over such foolish things."

"I bet. That's how siblings get close, they argue and make each other mad but then they realize that they're nothing without each other. Always like that," The woman nods towards Garte with a wide grin.

"Ah, yeah. What about your little one? Does she play any sports?"

"Baseball. She's a huge fan of it and practically cries when her team loses."

"Really? Same with my oldest, he's a huge baseball fan, too. My youngest giggles a bit whenever he sees a soccer ball but he's too small to play just yet," Garte's smile grows bigger.

"Oh wow! That's adorable. What're their names?" The woman questions.

"Garroth, Zane, and Vylad."

"Oh! Those are gorgeous names! Never heard those around!"

"Yeah, that's why we chose them, me and my wife knew that our children were gonna be different from other kids in a good way. What about your little one, what's her name?"

"Lucinda. She's a very laid back yet competitive girl. Basically my heart walking around outside of my body," The woman releases a sigh of happiness. Garte nods and looks up and sees that they were about to reach his elevator floor.

"I'm Garte," He introduces himself quickly with a respectful tone in his voice. The woman smiles and shakes Garte's hand.

"I'm Hyria. Nice to meet you Garte."

The elevator doors open once they reach Garte's floor and he nods towards the woman with a smile.

"Nice meeting you, too."

And with that, he walks off onto his floor, heading towards his working space. The elevator doors close behind him and take Hyria back down to her floor, which was the third. Garte settles down at his large desk with a sigh and begins to organize his papers, whilst working on his computer and answering phone calls. As he's typing into an important document, he feels a strong hand on his shoulder. He turns and smiles to see his best friend, Hayden. "Garte! You really gotta start texting me whenever you get here so I don't have to sit at my desk all alone anymore," He mutters, causing Garte to laugh loudly.

"Fuck off, I have shit to do," He mumbles playfully, turning back to his document on the computer.

"Ah, come on, we work everyday, you can take a break for at least an hour! Come on, let's go get lunch, down the hall," Hayden suggests and Garte nods with a sigh, giving in to having lunch with his best friend. They walk down the long ass hallway to get lunch. Whilst walking, Garte nudges Hayden's arm lightly.

"How's your little ones?"

"Cadenza's good, she made a new friend and will not stop cheering about it. It's adorable," He replies.

"Oh yeah? What's her new friend's name?"

"I think it was Candice or Canada. Something like that..." Hayden trails off, causing Garte to burst out into a huge fit of laughter.

"Canada? That's a fucking country you bloody idiot," Garte punches Hayden's arm, laughing at the brunette male's little 'oh shit I forgot'. They both laugh as they continue down the hallway before Garte cools down and sighs. "What about your other one? How's he doing?"

"Laurence's doing great, too, yeah. He's been singing his heart out to every song he recognizes nowadays. And even though he sounds just like The Grinch's laugh, I can tell that he's gonna get better and be a real good singer one day," Hayden smiles down at his feet. Garte snorts back a laugh.

"First of all, you're not just gonna skip past that and act like you didn't just say what you just said."

"What did I say?" Hayden chuckles and Garte clutches the bridge of his nose with a laugh escaping his mouth.

"You're so mean to your little boy. Jesus, Hayden," The blonde snickers lightly and Hayden shakes his head quickly, hysterically laughing.

"Tough love. It's tough love," He replies. They reach toward the end of the hall by the huge windows when suddenly there's a loud ringing coming from outside the building. Everyone covers their ears and groans loudly, yelling around about what was happening. Garte and Hayden turn to their rights to find a little white speck from far away in the sky heading towards them. They furrow their eyebrows in confusion, but as it gets closer, they realize that it's in fact a plane. Their eyes widen and they scream, sprinting towards the exit stairs to run out of the building. But they were too late, and the plane smashed through the building, killing them both instantly. And the moment the situation got on the news, little Garroth saw it, and immediately had something to say about it.

"Daddy got out, right?"
