nobody probably cares but it went very well. My leg is sore and when I woke up in the recovery room that had curtains and other beds, I saw this little girl standing there who looked TERRIFIED. I called a nurse over and said "she looks scared, can you see if she is having the same type of surgery that I am so I can talk to her and help her not be so scared?" the nurse thought that was a great idea and talked to the parents. Turns out she was having the same surgery that I had, so she walks up to my bed and I say "hi there, I figured out that you are having the same surgery that I did and I wanted to say that there is nothing to be scared of. The worst part is waiting for lunch. and that made her laugh. She got to see my incision on my leg, and I told her that I couldn't feel anything. Later we found out that her name is Caitlyn and she is 8 years old, and the day she was in there walking around was the day before her surgery and the doctors were just showing her around. And then my dad bought her a little kitten plush to give to her, and I wrote a note saying how brave she is and I even put my number on the note in case she wanted to talk to me. Later I found out that she was really scared about it hurting, so me saying it didn't hurt at all helped her a lot. so every now and then we text eachother and now I get to meet her and her mom for lunch on the 25 of june!
