Original:

Argon fell back-first into the trees, squirming in the spiked net that came out of nowhere. Then something hard hit his back, and a loud crack echoed into the night. Bits of wood fell with Argon as he hit more branches. Runora growled as his pain funneled into her because of their mental link. Then Argon's back hit a massive branch.

  "OW!" He barked. If Argon was not an Elfman, the branch would have broken his spine. Then, he finally landed with a solid thump on his right leg, and he heard his bone crack, making him cry out. The spikes in the net stabbed him everywhere, hurting him more. There were not many spikes, but they were all incredibly sharp. Runora turned into her falcon form and dove towards Argon.

Re-write:

Argon fell from the heavens, squirming and squealing in terror. His horns got stuck in the net, and the strange spikes dug into his back the more he moved. A large object knocked the wind out of him, snapping loudly underneath his back. Bits of wood fell with him through the air as he ping-ponged against the trees, breaking more and more branches with him. The strange spikes on the net embedded themselves deeper and deeper into his skin as he hit the branches, causing sparks of pain to burst from his nerves. His head reeled as he tumbled down to earth.

He was now in a tilted standing position, and his right leg hit the ground at a strange angle, snapping a very large bone in his limb with a sickening crack. A roar of agony ripped itself from his chest and out of his jaws, tears streaking his narrowed eyes, before he flopped pitifully onto the ground, whimpering and writhing in pain.
