Back in the trim room Anne is curios to why Donny was checking out the Latin workers. Not wanting to cause issues with the ones there she considers ways around it while snipping away, "so Donny you have someone in your life?"

"Yes, Loril, love of my life?" Donny's curios why she asked that, "been together since high school. How about yourself?"

The answer stirs internal aws in the ladies.

"Yes, Jerry, we've been together a few years now," Anne knows Loril and by gossip knows Don's done a few stints in jail, "Oh Loril from the market. She's so pretty."

"Yup, that's her." Donny glances at Emily wondering if she's single and that's why Anne asked, "Can't be from around here if you haven't seen her there. She's been working there almost a decade. Sadly the only wage increases she ever got was from minimum wages going up."

Noticing Donny glance her way Emily states, "married myself to my college sweetheart."

"Oh nice," Donny nods to her, "and both of you ladies are mothers."

"Yes," they both nod replying however Anne points to the other ladies, "Strangely we found out one day we're all mothers of two, and a boy and girl each, just different ages. Do you and Loril have any?" She asks but realizes Loril can't have children.

"No," Being in and out of jail Donny is okay with it, "we were hit by a drunk driver one night and her injuries were bad, included losing the ability to have any. That's also how she got the little scars across her face."

"Oh, that's awful, I'm so sorry for her," Anne almost regrets asking about possible children.

"A guess she's lucky to have you in her life," Emily and the others that understood feel similarly.

Louisa gives Donny a quick point of the finger turning it into a thumbs-up, "Very honorable of you." Louisa informs Jose, Strother and Angelina what's been said.

"Thanks," Donny feels fortunate to still have her in his life, "honorable? I don't know about that." Feeling all eyes upon him puts out there, "guess you all know how I got here, my recent release. Stephanie Epper informed me because of our situation I was given the chance here. For years I've been trying to do right by Loril and for us. So I'm really hoping this job here will work out."

Understanding Jose pats Donny on the shoulder and gives a thumbs-up.

"Yeah we heard," Anne tries to lighten the mood, "there's several of us here with records, don't worry about it. Hell I ended up with an assault and battery on my ex-husband. He didn't even have me charged. I was picking him up from the drunk tank and was so mad at him for a few reasons I started smacking him about the head right in the police station. They formally charged me under the domestic violence act...and there was a young child there caught in a domestic situation with his parents. So they had to be fair."

"Oh really?" Donny notes, don't piss her off.

Louisa points to himself, "bootlegging back home in my youth. Took a beaten by the police. Not for selling illegal booze, so much. Cause' they weren't getting a cut of it." He laughs about it but Marlena shakes her head in disapproval.

"Oh," Donny realizes no one seems to really care about past mistakes, "I-Loril and I need this to work out, all I was ever doing was trying to get the medical bills paid off. Insurance didn't do much, barely got anything for our old car."

The Americans in the room all understand that, getting Pete to utter, "my parents paid for medical insurance and when they really needed it, it barely covered half the expenses. My mom is so out there she's got no clue, I've been making payments worried they'll force her to sell the house to pay for it."

Emily doesn't think that'll happen, "that's good of you Pete. I don't think they'll force her out of her house."

"Well I'm slowly taking care of all that anyway," Pete continues snipping.

Hearing it all Bill comes over to take away the full bin of trimmed buds and set an empty bin in its place, "Still paying for my own cancer treatments. Should've got health insurance. The benefits here don't completely cover my medication or follow-ups." He takes the full bin to weigh up and log in.

Louisa half jokes, "think I better look for future employment in Canada."

The group begins a debate on American health care and what might work better.

Starting the last shift of the day Anna notices Donny massaging his hands over break. Certain his hands need a break suggests he place the buds on the conveyor for the remainder of the shift.

Gladly switching roles Donny steps to the front of the line dispensing what's left from the bin in place. Being a very slow job and able to view the room's clock it became the longest hour of the day.

Emptying out the bin Donny takes it to a portable shelving cart to be returned to the greenhouse.

Removing a full bin from the cart Donny takes it back studying the piled rows within. The full bin only weighing three pounds, he relaxes the grip on the container.

Attempting to smoothly slide the bin under the front edge of the conveyor connects the top of the bin with the bottom of the conveyor sides, knocking the bin over. In dismay Donny watches as dozens of buds tumble to the floor. He manages to catch the bin between legs and bin-stand preventing the entire bin from hitting floor. Swiftly bending over to prevent further loss Donny's head connects hard with the conveyor's metal rails, his hand manages to keep the remaining contents in place. Everyone sympathetically ohs from the sound of his head hitting the stainless-steel.

Quickly Pete reaches over to get an extra hand on the bin.

"Fuck!" Donny curses the action and pain, "Fuck, for fuck's sake. I can't believe I just did that. Fuck that hurt too." Looking up he checks mood of the room. "I am so sorry."

"At least the whole bin didn't get dumped over." Pete assists righting the bin and placing it on the short stand while Donny still holds the contents in place.

"Thanks Pete," Donny places a palm over the bruise forming on the forehead. He sees Bill coming over to evaluate the loss, "So sorry Bill I didn't mean too."

Not the worst of their losses Bill shrugs it off, "well now you've got your first spill out of the way. I can give you the standard warning," he picks up a waste bin to place the floor buds in, "don't do that again."

"So sorry," Donny sighs looking to the group, "I hope I didn't screw up my chances in here now."

Anne points to the front of the conveyor, "figured we'd put you up there to avoid injuring your hand on the first day. Didn't expect you whack your melon, you okay?"

"Yeah." Looking at the palm Donny doesn't see blood, "serve me right I guess. The bins are so light even when full didn't think I needed to hold on tightly."

They can see an angled mark in his forehead turning color. Setting the waste bin beside the spilled buds Bill studies Donny's eyes, "you seem alright just a little bell ringing. But I'll log it in as an incident just in case." He points to the line, "keep on feeding them then. When the cart is empty we'll clean up. During the clean up join me by the computer."

"Okay." Donny touches the forehead one more time before returning to the task at hand.

Bill picks up the floor buds and takes them over to the work table and scale. For the remainder of the shift Donny mentally curses himself.

After they get the incident report logged Donny finds out he dropped almost 600 grams of marijuana on floor, just over a pound, disgusting himself. Having caused the loss of more Bill points out the 5 tier shelving cart stating if he knocks over a full one of those then he should be upset and possibly fired.

The group manages to finish all their required duties before Donny and Bill completed the incident report. Close to scheduled quitting time exit the room as they're allowed to clock out. Knowing Ray is Donny's ride Bill hands him the room's waste to take to destruction.

In the destruction room Donny explains the incidents to Ray and another sanitation worker Michael Winslow. Both laugh at Donny pointing out all they are destroying right now including a row of plants that went moldy. The buds Donny dropped on the floor were bagged separately so they debated making it just disappear and log it in as destroyed but Mike the supervisor walked in. Michael quickly resolved the debate tearing open the plastic and dumping it in with the other waste plants, all three sighed.
