Wednesday morning Donny arrives at the greenhouse as the office staff are arriving including Richard and Stephanie, they all wave in passing.
Timing-in Donny's confronted by Angelina, Lorraine and Evelyn with Marlena doing the talking for them. She apologizes for their role inadvertently upsetting Miguel enough to target Donny. He of course tells them it's not necessary. Marlena and the ladies have all filed grievances against Miguel with their employment agency. That agency assures them Miguel will be removed from the green-house by the end of the week. However Miguel is not aware yet. Marlena and Louisa attempted to reason with Miguel who of course admits no wrong. When questioned about Donny's car tire coming off Miguel claims innocent. She and the other ladies warn Donny Miguel has admitted to sabotaging others back home. Marlena almost pleads with Donny to not let Miguel know, they'll do what they can to keep Miguel's attention elsewhere. Donny puts smiles on their faces apologizing for still having to deal with men like Miguel. Before heading to actually work Marlena makes one request to Donny: that he not bring in lunch Monday as they wish to make something for him over the weekend. Free food Donny easily agrees.
Having caught the Latin ladies chatting with Donny in the morning Anne and Emily both note the hair thing the other day. At break they question why he's sitting with them still and not his Latin co-workers. Donny updated them on what's being going on with Miguel, and that his own crew are embarrassed by the man's asinine behavior. Miguel entered the break room at lunch however seeing Donny turned and left. Paranoid Miguel may mess with the Granada again Donny spent the afternoon break-time insuring the car was mechanically fine.

The few hours around lunch are Loril's busiest moment in the store. Working check-out with several people lined up already Loril has Jeff, Tom's friend waver to the end studying sugary and salty confections nearby.
As Loril takes care of the immediate customers Jeff begins a loud conversation with an elderly women in front of him. Easy to see the woman is merely humoring Jeff nervous of true intentions. Loril knows Jeff well enough he's merely talking to kill time in line and says to him to stop harassing her customers and assures the woman Jeff isn't dangerous, to her anyway. Jeff almost complies engaging all in line to his thoughts on G8 governments causing the higher cost of living all because tax payers want the government to fix the world. When he starts calling those around him sheep for not standing up to the government to stop this madness, Loril stops him. Loril simply asks when he's starting a petition or scheduling an actual protest? Sounding too much like work he laughs and pretends to button his lip.
When Jeff steps up placing items down Loril notes, "you know most of the people in line complained about higher prices before this year. Wasn't sure if I should've told you to shut the hell up or not. But I guess thank you." She rings in the items."
"Well you're welcome beautiful," All smiles Jeff does question, "for my mere presence in your day?"
"Hardly," Loril points to a couple of the slower customers, now outside, "give them a taste of their own bitchin'. Not like I can do anything about the cost of anything."
"No shit," Jeff digs a few twenties from pocket to pay for the purchases. "Hey how's Donny-boy doing with that cool new gig?"
"He's liking it." She finishes totaling up the purchases, "nine-teen-ninety-five Jeff."
"Oh cool total," He peels off a twenty, "here you go ahead and keep the change."
"Oh thanks," she rolls her eyes taking the bill.
Gathering up the items Jeff bags them, "Oh when's Donny gonna give us a call? We've been waiting all week to hear something from him, got everything set for this weekend."
"He hasn't even called me yet on his new phone," to Loril it sounds like Jeff will be at Rod and Debbie's as well, "I don't think he has your number on his phone. Do you have a phone, these days?"
"Yeah," Jeff doesn't want Donny to contact him in case things go badly, "we put in Tom's number for him."
"I saw and Rod too," As there are other customers Loril tries to keep Jeff moving, "I'm sure you guys can talk about it this weekend when we get together at Debbie and Rod's."
"Sure," Jeff wasn't planning on showing to that, "well I'll leave you to it Loril, have a good one."
"You too Jeff." Turning her attention to the person next in line has a thought, Debbie can't stand Jeff and Tom would she actually want them there? Has she changed?

At home that evening Loril questions Donny, "when someone gets a new phone they typically call someone, especially a loved one. How come you haven't called me?"
"Actually it's in the glove-box even now," he shrugs, "just keep forgetting I have it." A partial truth as he's actually avoiding it, "If you'd like I'll go out to the car and call you from there."
"Really?" The reply unexpected she'd prefer it be the truth, "no you don't have to call me, right now. I'm asking because Jeff came in the store today asking why you haven't called them yet. He seemed more keen for your call than I did making me wonder."
Jeff did what? Oh my fucking god he's gonna fuck things up here. Oh-oh what else would he have said? Am I under examination right now? "Wonder what?" Donny almost fears an answer.
"What's really going on," she toys with him, "should I be concerned there's more going on with you guys and that's why Tom gave you that phone. You're leaving it in the glove-box so I won't find any special texts between you. Hmm, hmm" She pokes him for a quicker response.
"Hey stop it," Donny pushes her hand away after the second poke, "I don't even know if I can text on that phone. Sounds like your accusing me of fooling around with them."
"Ah, so you admit it," She teases him, "what happened to you Donny did you have a Brokeback moment with a madame butterfly while away and feel the need to pursue it. Funny Jeff and Tom's hair is dark in color."
"What?!" Donny laughs, "yeah okay. Sorry dear you'll have to save your fantasies for your dreams. Jeff's is only dark from being greasy and Tom's getting fairly grey up there." He prays she's only messing around and Jeff didn't raise concerns for her. "Think I could do better than Tom or Jeff anyway."
"Yeah?" amused with teasing him she doesn't sense anything concerning, "what's his name?"
"Fuck off," Donny restrains a laugh not wanting to encourage her.
"His father give him that name?" She laughs poking him again.
"Look all week your you've been putting me in positions where I'm cheating on you for some reason. Which I would never. However I'm starting to consider it might be you." Crossing arms and leaning back he pretends to examine her being.
"Me?" She stops laughing, "what do you think you're saying here?"
"Well I ain't thinking you've been messing around," he points to the television, "all them dramas you've watched I know you got a thing for guys kissing other guys. Probably wondering what I'd look like kissing another guy..."
Snickering she tries to hide the face as the cheeks flush bright red, "um, maybe."
"Oh my god," Donny almost feels dirty, DO NOT ASK WHO SHE PICTURED YOU WITH, "I've always had this feeling the only way a three way was happening with you if there was another guy."
"Nicely built, he doesn't have to be smart," hopeful, she slyly grins at him.
"Ah-no-thank-you, that wasn't an offer," Donny's almost disgusted by the idea, "but that shit is all through those shows you watch. Are you trying to get us on day-time trash TV shows foolishly airing our dirty laundry nation-wide."
"No," she wraps an arm around him, "funny how YOU'RE okay with two girls kissing and not two guys."
"Hey if guys want to kiss each other they can, I don't need to see it," he has a clever notion, "funny how neither of us really like to watch regular couples kiss."
"Oh yeah, well the quick kisses are good. Sloppy tongued kissing no," recalling a first hand experience grosses herself out.
Merely getting off the ideas Donny brings up, "Oh Marlena and the ladies approached me this morning telling me Miguel is done Friday and most likely headed home."
"At least you won't have to worry about him," the news welcome she wonders, how did kisses get us to these women again? "Was Evelyn there as well?"
"Yeah," the query not clearly understood Donny carries on, "they all feel so bad that he may have actually fucked with the car they offered to bring lunch for me Monday. Nice of them isn't it?"
"Evelyn's doing this?"
"Well, maybe," he's slowly realizing Loril considers her a threat, "Marlena for sure and most likely. The other three ladies don't speak English too well, in fact Lorraine and Evelyn haven't even said hello to me. So I don't really know, they're kind of like their own family and the women all rent an apartment together."
She's glad he's making friends at works, "I'm sorry Donny I think because I've yet met these ladies I'm picturing women looking to marry to become American citizens. And knowing what a good guy you are sometimes don't want other women to know that. And it sounds like these ladies may have found out. I'm sure I can trust you around them. Can they be trusted? I don't know because I don't know them. And to make food for you after only working together a week seems odd to me. I've never made anything for Ann."
Donny hears the concern however quips, "Ann? Why would you? She's no good or helpful to you, in fact sabotages you by continually showing up late."
"Sadly true," she tugs at his arm to get his full attention, "hey have ANY of these ladies flirted with you in anyway? Even like a sexy Ola?"
"No," Donny doesn't even have to think about it, "I've told them all you're all I need."
"You betcha," Receiving eye contact tells herself to move past infidelity concerns, until able to meet these women he works with.
