June woke up and felt like she got hit by a bus. Sadly she had to go to work anyway so she hopped into the shower, ate, and did everything she was supposed to then headed to work. She sighed weakly as she waited for a taxi then she heard someone fall behind her. She turned to see Roy standing over a guy's body making her look at him as if he was insane.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" She asked and checked on the guy.

"He had followed you two blocks and he almost grabbed you. Didn't Garfield tell you?" He asked as she was trying to figure out if Roy was actually some kind of stalker.

"I'm Red Arrow alright you know one of the guys you saved yesterday," he explained.

"Oh... you're my neighbor that's awesome!" She smiled as a taxi came up and she looked at the unconscious guy.

"Leave him. I will talk some sense into him, see you around," he said as he picked him up and walked him away.

"Man my day is just getting started and it's already so weird!" She muttered as she got in and Milo got out of her pocket.

"Well you did join a bunch of weird people running around in what you call underwear," he informed.

"That's not what it is! There specially designed suits!" She whispered.

"That makes zero sense to me but I guess you're right I mean. I chewed threw a lot of your brothers things to know and is that way there not what is that weird thin stuff you like? It's really weird and it doesn't make good nesting material just saying," he informed as they stopped and she paid the cab driver.

"It's called lace and can we stop talking about this I don't know how we got from suits to underwear," she said softly as she put Milo on her shoulder and headed headed to the office to clock in.

"Well I said," he paused as he saw flowers in vases on the office table.

It was extremely odd to see flowers here since it wasn't remotely valentines day. It was only March so why would there be flowers here. They weren't hers but she saw they had cards on them and they all had her name on it making her really confused. No one ever got her flowers so this had to be a prank right? She opened it up and saw one was from Robin. They were all from the heros she helped yesterday even Garfield sent her some flowers with some treats for Milo.

"Oh boy jerky my favorite!" Milo informed seeing the jerky package.

"Well Garfield really does knows how to win you over doesn't he?" She chuckled as she opened the package for him and he took out some jerky.

"Oh yeah we have a clear understanding of each other," he said as he was munching away.

"You do know he is a vegan right?" She asked as he paused.

"Still have no idea what that means you know," he said.

"He eats plant based things. Speaking of which maybe I should to I mean I do talk to animals," she said as she shivered a bit.

"Circle of life man, I mean what do you think Jack eats? FYI not grass," he informed.

"That is true, and it's not like I talk to them or you know kill them myself," she informed as he nodded.

"Yeah true that so I think it's fine," he said as she clocked in and started to do her rounds.

"I see they didn't arrest you," one if her coworkers muttered.

"I see you still can't do your job," she shot back as she put the pill he had in a leaf and gave it to the giraffe.

"I hate it when it's not rapped up Ina leaf it tastes funny," the giraffe stated.

"Bet it does," she said as she went over to Jack.

"You seem tired today, do you want to skip our walk?" He asked as she shook her head.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world you know," she smiled as she she unlocked the gate.

They started walking around and she was talking to him and the other animals like normal. Like always a lot of people thought she was insane or she was actually talking to someone threw an ear piece. Suddenly she got tackled making Milo very upset since he had to jump on Jack to save himself. He was not fond of being around predators but he put up with them and actually liked some but it still spooked him a bit.

"Hey sorry June," Wally said as he got off of her and helped her up.

"Why did you do that?!" She asked as Jack growled at him a bit.

"I don't like him I like the green creature better. At least he knows how to control himself more or less. To much energy this one has," he informed.

"Well I um was un a hurry, I didn't know what time you got of of work today and Red Arrow stopped a creepy guy from taking you so I just came to make sure you are okay," he explained as he smiled.

"Oh my gosh are you serious? Dude I'm fine, I'm not that defenseless," she put in.

"I know but I mean we are a team now so I just wanted to make extra sure you were fine and that you also got the flowers I got you," he smiled as he was leaning on pole.

"Is he hurt?" Jack asked seeing he was acting oddly.

"No Jack he's fine. But yes I also got your flowers as well as Beast Boys, night wing, Red Arrow, and Robin's to. Thank you and I'm guessing Beast Boy told you I was allergic to Lillys," she informed making him sigh.

"He warned me, he's such a flirt!" He muttered.

"No wonder he asked me that last night... but you know we are friends right? He volunteeres here sometimes to help me out," she informed.

"He does maybe I should to," he said as she awkwardly smiled at him since people were starting to stair him and take pictures of them.

"Um I guess so I'm going to go since apparently people might think we are you know dating and I personally don't want to be front page news," she said as she hurried off.

"Humans are so strange, do all humans act like that when they knock people over?" Jack asked.

"Not really," she sighed as Wally came back and she face palmed.

"So I was wondering if you would like come by the base tomorrow unless you have work tomorrow," he said as she sighed.

"I can what time?" She asked.

"Noon maybe?" He suggested.

"Okay I can do that just please people are really starting to stair and I don't like that," put in.

"Okay see you around," he said with a smirk and he took off running.

Now she was finally on break and before she could take a bite out of her sandwich Robin hoped down from a tree scaring her.

"Dude?! Where did you come from and you know what I have to many questions," she said as she started eating her sandwich.

"I just came by to see if there was any people following you today. I checked the cameras and there was nothing strange I could see," he said as he sat next to her and Jack.

He poked some buttons to reveal a projected screen showing some footage and she looked at him as she chewed slowly.

"Do you know hoe suspicious this looks?" June asked as he was flipping threw the cameras.

"Do you know how serious this is? You were being followed and if some one knows you are part of our team now then they could come after you," he said as she sighed.

"I really like how you guys are so worried but he was just a creep Robin," she informed.

"Doesn't matter, there could be someone else following you," he informed.

"You guys take this way to seriously," she muttered as she decided to go eat in the locker room.

"Where are you going?" He asked as he looked at her annoyed.

"Away! You are amazing kid alright but I need space and I'm not letting a child protect me," she informed.

"Hey I'm 14!" He growled.

"I'm still older!" She said as Jack licked Tim.

She hurried off to the locker room and tried to eat her food by herself. Richard snuck into the locker room.

"June are you in here?" He asked as she looked at at him annoyed.

"What the hell is wrong with all of you! I just want to eat my food in piece. If I pass out it will be your fault!" She informed.

"Roy said..." he paused.

"Does it look like I care what he said?! You, Robin, Wally, you all came by! I know a creep tried to grab me but guys I'm safe! I'm around animals and you know Jack is here and he is a mean guy when he wants to be," she informed.

"You are the only one that can't fight," he pointed out.

"Leave me alone! Look I know but come on, you are in the girls locker room when I'm trying to eat..." she paused as her watch beeped making her sigh.

"Sorry...," he apologized.

"Just pick me up if I pass out and take me home. Also feed Milo, cheese is in the fridge has his name on it," she said as she put her food away.

"I can do that," he said with a smile.

"Hope so, thanks for the flowers by the way they are beautiful, also since I'm sure Roy is somewhere around here tell him the flowers he got me were beautiful to," she informed.

"Well you did save our lives and you came to work," he said with a smile.

"Well I am the keeper of the zoo I must do what I do best," she said as she went back to work.

For the rest of the day there was no one around to bother her making her extremely happy. But when it came time for her to go home she couldn't take all five vases home by herself. So she called Garfield and to her surprise she heard his ring tone close by.

"Hey! I just came by to walk you home and to see if you needed help," he said as he hung up.

"You won't belive the craziness your friends caused me!" She said as he chuckled.

"Yeah Roy told me, he told everyone and they have been watching your apartment and the zoo all day long. Batman has been watching everyone and using facial recognition software to see if in fact you were not going to get taken," he said with a chuckle.

"Are you serious?!" She asked.

"Yeah... you are part of the team now. I know this is a lot trust me I know. Nothing is private really and I know you didn't really ask to join. I promise to help you though," he said as she sat down in the office.

"I can't freaking do this! I'm going to have a melt down!" She said as she looked at him weakly.

"Hey, you can I know you can," he said as she weakly chuckled.

"I can't stand all of them watching me like I'm I'm zoo animal, most of these guys don't care but I do. I seriously can't deal with this stress of them watching me all the time. I know he doesn't do it with you guys but it's like I did something wrong," she said.

"June you are amazing, I know this is very stressful but you can do it. I never thought I could get off those stupid pills but you helped me threw that. I can't even tell you the last time I felt this good about myself or about what I do. What you did was incredible. No weapons, no special abilities besides talking to the animals, I thought you were going to die but you did way more then any of us could in months! You got two address and saved us from getting sold off.

You have done so many incredible things already and I know you being on our team will make it better. Sure the guys may flirt with you especially Wally but we are a family even when we mess up and do stupid things. I'm sure Batman knows about the pills but hasn't said anything to me yet. You probably saved me from his wrath honestly. I know this is a lot to take in at once but you get adjusted. You talking to them will be just like talking to me. It will take a while but it will happen. Everything takes a bit of time," he said as she looked over at Milo was running in circles.

He was cheering her on in his own way without saying anything so he could talk to her.

"Okay, you are right but I really don't know how this is going to work. I work here a lot and I can't just leave. They are my family to," she informed.

"Don't worry about it now, one step at a time. You are running on three hours of sleep so let's get you home and off to bed," he said as she smiled.

"I didn't see you all day so how exactly did you know where I was?" She asked.

"I may have turned into a mouse and hung around out of sight. I saw and heard everything," he chuckled.

"Nice, so how are we going to get these home I mean I don't live far but still this is a lot," she said as Garfield grew out a monkey tail making her chuckle.

"I know right, I make it look good," he laughed as they headed to her house.

"Want to watch a movie or something? I have tomorrow off," she informed once they put the flowers down on the counter.

"I guess but you must be tired," he said.

"I am never to tired to hang out with one of my friends," she said as she got a movie out and put it in.

They made popcorn and watched a comedy but June fell asleep within the first half hour. She was sleeping on his shoulder and Milo seemed to be very watchful over them as he stared him down.

"Don't worry Milo promise I'm not going to hurt her," he said as he got a blanket and slowly laid down with her next to him.

He covered both of them up and he turned off the TV. He snuggled her a bit and felt Milo get on top of him.

"Okay fine, you can snuggle in to but you have three beds!" He said as he lived the blanket up a bit and her crawled underneath it and snuggled in.

"I can really see why she likes you, really happy I got to met both of you. I owe my life to both of you," he said petting Milo gently.
