It had been a month since Garfield gave June his number and to say she was a life saver would be an understatement. She saved his life, having someone that understood and didn't judge him about his mental health issues really helped. It was hard at first telling her things that happened like how Wally died and Conner but then coming back some how. He was feeling a lot better even though the sleeping pills messed with his sleep cycle he was being with his friends more, working out more often, reading a part of book to keep the nightmares away and talking to June everyday.

When it was time for June to move out he helped her move and boy that was a show. He had to call batman and a couple of his other friends since her parents were actually holding her against her will and wouldn't let her leave because she wasn't "old" enough to. Legally she could and he knew what they wanted from her and it was the money she made she made at the zoo. But little did they know she had been saving up ever since she got the job.

It was insane, the racial slurs at Aqualad and calling them all freaked for there powers but really got them was when June yelled back at them. June was not an aggressive person at all but she lashed out at them all scaring them. They tossed her things out the windows and tried setting her things on fire which failed but still her parents were crazy but now they couldn't hurt her or touch her again.

It was early in the afternoon and today was the day they had a plan to stop the people from stealing animals and selling them on the dark web. They got wind of a transfer of exotic animals at a local Warehouse on the other side of town and they were going to go there.

Roy, Richard aka Dick, wally, Garfield, and Tim were going out while the others were already on other missions. They headed to the location to find nothing was there. The place was just a warehouse that hadn't been used in a long time. It was odd to say the least but they waited a bit in hopes something would pop up. A three darts came out of nowhere and hit Wally, Garfield, and Dick making them loopy and unable to concentrate. Walking was hard and it seemed like the earth was shaking under there feet.

Roy tried to help them get out of the area but a dart hit him to making him fall to his knees as bad guys started to show up. Two people had collars and put them around Garfield's neck and Wally's so they couldn't use there powers while the others tied the other heros up as they one by one passed out.

"Easy money, how much do you think people would spend to have a couple of heroes?" A man asked as Roy was trying to stay awake.

"Millions!" Another man chuckled as Roy passed out on the ground.

June had been texting Garfield then all of a sudden he stopped. That was six hours ago and she would send a text to him once in a while to make sure he was okay with no response. Sure he said he was going to be on a mission but that was this morning and he had sent her half of a text message making her worry. Maybe his friends rushed him.

"Are you worried about your green friend my dear?" Jack asked as she looked at her phone again.

"Yeah, he hasn't replied to my text messages," she informed.

"He has a job you know... I know you wanted to help them but life got in the way. One day you will be able to help them but today might not be that day. Odd, I never seen a bad quite so large or walking before," Jack said as she looked over to see her boss and Batman coming to the enclosure she was in.

"It's batman!" She whispered yelled.

"How can a bat be also a man? You humans really like to confuse us simple minded animals," he chuckled.

The other zoo keepers looked them shocked and some where chuckling like he was going to arrest her for something.

"June can I you come here for a minute?" Her Mr. Langley asked as she hurried over to them.

"I need your help, some of my team members have gone missing and there trackers are not picking up there signals. Do you think you can talk to a fox and a snake for me to see if they remember where they have gone?" He asked as she froze.

The zoo staff that were working near here were floored. Never did they think that he of all people would ask a freak to help him.

"Beast boy got taken didn't he?" She asked as she pulled out her phone and showed him the last text message she got from him.

"Yes he was on that team," he said as she looked at Jack.

"They took him Jack! Smugglers took him!" She said shocked and horrified knowing that his powers were valuable.

The things that they could make him turn into, if they were threatening him or his friends there was no telling what they would do. The tortur they would inflict on him and everyone else. They had been talking about it this morning. He had been asking her about the rarity of the animals that were some how going missing. A panda, cheetah, a snake, and ostrich, and a few others that had been going missing from a few zoos.

"Go then June, help them. I know you can do it, remember to be patient like you were with me and even if you have half a plan that is better then none at all," he explained as she nodded and opened his enclosure.

"I need to know where exactly the fox came from what zoo or area of the world did it come from?" She asked as as she hurried off with him by her side.

"It's a Sechuran fox and it's from Peru, it's wild doesn't like people," he informed.

"So it speaks Spanish then," she informed as she she went to the main office and got onto one of the computers and started printing off numbers and the Spanish ABC chart as well as some of the extra pincushion marks.

"You can't speak Spanish can you?" Batman asked.

"I speak seven languages actually, but the animals can't read but they can point out markers. Even if it's not spelled right I'm sure I can find the place they were at and see if I can give you two spots to look instead of one. If he or she was brought here maybe it remembers a street sign or something," she informed as she printed off the English alphabet and printed off numbers  zero to nine.

"You think you can can get that out of a fox?" He asked.

"No, it's been a month but worth a shot," she informed.

The entire time heading to the base she was nervous. The fox Amy not like her and refuse to talk to her and she was probably going to have to beg. Batman and June quickly went to the bat cave and the fox was frantically trying to get out of the cage.

"Hey its okay I know your scared but we need to talk about what happened to you a month ago," June said in Spanish making the fox stop.

"How can I understand you? Do you... unstand me?" He asked looking at her oddly.

"I can yeah, can you give me an hour it might take a bit of time," June said as he nodded and walked off to try to get something done or make it look like he wasn't worried.

"You are a very special girl then of you can understand animals well. I can try to help you but I want something in return for my help," he informed.

"Name it," she said.

"My freedom, I don't like being looked at like a prize to your kind and the other animals seem content with there living conditions. Don't get me as ungrateful for them fixing my leg but I want to go back home, I have a family there. The reason why I was caught was because I was protecting them. I wish to go home even if it means my death," he informed  as she looked at his leg and smiled.

"Don't worry you will live a long time unless you get attacked by another animal three times your size. I promise I will do what I can to make your freedom possible," she smiled.

After an hour he gave her an address in Peru along with a building number which was a lot more then what she thought she was going to get and gave it to Batman.

"This is one of the address he gave me also what the building was filled with. He doesn't know if it's there now but he told me that they were planning on staying there for a while. It's been seven hours they probably took them by plane and they won't touch down for another four hours!" She informed.

"I'll head there now and if he gives you another address I will look at it. Stay here and don't go anywhere," he ordered as she nodded and quickly headed off to the Zeta-Tubes.

"Finally I made it here! Do you have any idea how scared I was when I heard Garfield got taken?! You should have taken me along!" Milo hollered as he scurried across the floor.

"I'm sorry okay! I know you care for him to but..." she almost started crying.

"Oh June don't be upset I'm sorry. I just thought you left to go find him by yourself," he said as she took a deep breath and let it out.

"I wouldn't do that, I got to go see if a fox knows anything about a local address maybe that could help batman find him," she said softly.

Garfield woke up to find Richard, Tim, wally, and Roy, all tied up and a bit cut up to. They were looked at him and sighed.

"Good morning sleepy head," Richard said as Garfield tried breathing free but he couldn't.

"Tried that already, they out collars on us man!" Wally complained.

"Well hello there, you are the boy that can turn into animals aren't you?" He asked as he came out of the shadows.

"If I am?" He asked.

"Then people will pay top dollar for your powers, if not then well I can still sell you all off. You are all some of the most hated people on this planet you know. How much do you think batman would pay to have his little side kick back?" He asked looking at Tim.

The man was wearing exotic furs and a black suit with several gold rings on his fingers. He had short black hair and was really tall compared to them since they were all sitting down chained to the wall and floor.

"He doesn't work with criminals," Tim spat.

"Well he will have to if he wants you alive. If not it's fine I can sell you, I may know people who are intrigued by little boys," he smiled.

"Get the fuck away from him!" Richard growled.

"You aren't in the position of telling me what to do," he smiled.

"Watch them font let them..." he paused as his phone started going off.

"Looks like one of you got a call, June. Pretty name for a pretty girl," he said as he opened up the voice mail.

"Hey its me, I know I should  have listened to you and I didn't I'm sorry. I didn't see it before but now I do and I know it's late but please call me back. If you don't call me then I'm going to hunt you down again and I don't really want to do that. But I will. Call me," he said as he smiled.

"Who's girlfriend? Sounds worried about you," he chuckled as he walked away.

"Watch them, if there here others will fallow. I'm going to hunt down a pretty little girl who seems to be missing her boyfriend," he chuckled making Garfield glare at him.

She was being vague and she didn't say her name either. So she knew and she was looking for them and the call was to maybe give them some reassurance which was a bad choice on her point. He might trace her number and go after her. They looked at each other knowing they had to get out to save June who put herself in a lot of danger or maybe that was the plan. But Batman wouldn't do that would he? Use her as bait?

"So this is the right?" She asked the fox as he nodded.

"Yes the symbols are where they should be if my memory is correct," he answered.

She looked up the address quickly and saw it was clear across town. It was at an old warehouse making her smile bright. She found them, she actually found them!

"Milo! I know where they are maybe, come on let's go!" She yelled as the fox looked at her oddly.

"Stay here okay there should be plenty of food and water for you here. I will be back in a couple of hours!" She said in Spanish as she took Milo and hurried off to the location.

She tried to sneak around until she found the right building with the numbers on it and stopped as soon as she found it.

"We should get batman," Milo informed.

"We don't have time remember they are poachers here and they might hurt Garfield badly since he has shape shifting powers," June whispered as she looked at the erie building. Fog started to roll in and no one seemed to be around which had her concerned.

"Okay I have half a plan, find the animals and see if they can help us. I know it's a stretch but we can't do much by ourselves," he explained.

"Right yeah... but where to look first?" She asked.

"Well there has to be a secret

"Well I smell a cheetah around here so if I fallow the smell I could find it. It peed a lot around here," he informed.

"Okay thats a start," she informed as she used her phone flashlight and looked around to see if she could find anything useful to break into the warehouse.

There was nothing to speak of except for a door and knowing there had to be a key somewhere she started searching around it in hopes to find one. Milo claimed the frame and found the key that was placed on top of the frame.

"Detective Milo is back!" He shouted as he tossed the key to her.

"Wow good job! Now let's see if this key opens this door," she said as she tried to unlock it to no prevail.

She got out her old debit card she didn't use anymore and opened the door making her smile. They heard animals quietly talking and once they got closer the animals started panicking.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! I can understand all of you and I know your are all scared but I'm here to help okay. If we work together to get out of this mess I can get you all home okay?" June informed quietly.

"Why should we belive you?!" A snake hissed.

"Because I am really trying to help you all. Help me and I help you okay?" She asked as a zebra nodded in agreement.

"Okay so I have half a plan! We unlock your cages and then we save the food humans that might be here still alive. That is all I got..." Milo informed.

"They have guns and you want us to help you after they shot us and dragged us to who knows where?! Thanks but no thanks," a panda said.

"Look I know you are all scared but my friends are here to. We can work together without killing each other or any humans here okay," June informed.

"Not killing those pathetic excuses for humans will be hard but we can maybe manage that. I did come from a zoo and you smell like other animals. You to must be a zoo keeper?" The cheetah said as she nodded.

"Please I want to keep you all safe. We need to work together to get out of here and so we both get what we want. To be returned to where you all belong and so I can get my friends back. If we don't work together we won't get what we both want so deal guys?" She asked.

"Deal," the cheetah said making her smile. She tried the key to unlock the cages and it worked thankfully letting them all out.

"There are ten bad guys that we know of," the panda said.

"Ten... with guns. Okay well that's better then twenty. I'll be the bait okay, if you here me scream then well attack all the bad guys but try not to kill them," she informed.

She headed off to hopefully find Garfield amongst  the crates that were stacked high on top of each other. She sighed weakly as she stumbled a bit and tried not to alert anyone that was around. She stepped over some sleeping guards and picked up a pipe that was laying on one of the crates and took it with her as she walked threw the boxes.

"June there is a guard near them!" Milo informed smelling soothing Oh so unpleasant.

The smell of cheetah pee, must have gotten sprayed when he was trying to feed him or something. The man was chuckling as he cut Dick with a knife and pure anger filled her body. She walked up to him quietly and hit him as she could knocking him out.

"Hello... to be honest with you guys I have no plan on how I am going to get you out," she said seeing the chains.

"June?!" Dick asked in shock seeing her.

"Run! Get the hell out if here, they will kill you or worse June run please!" Garfield begged as she tried to free him.

"Just because you all have amazing abilities doesn't make you stronger then anyone else! I came to help you! I am a zoo keeper and as a Zoo keeper it is part of my job to protect both humans and animals alike from idiots!" She informed as she tried to free Roy.

"June... you have to leave. There are to many people here and we don't wasn't you to die okay," Roy said as she smiled a bit at him.

"Well I don't want any of you to die either... I'm not leaving any of you. I may not know any of your real names besides Beast Boys but to me that doesn't matter. I will do what I do best and that is break things more until it's fixed," she smiled.

"June there is someone coming!" Milo warned as the lights turned on making her get up and turn quickly.

"Thought I heard a little girl come threw here, you know I have motion sensors and cameras around here. Pretty helpful especially when it comes to un wanted guests," he smiled as he pointed gun at her and she dropped the pipe.

"June I have a plan... it isn't a good one but it's all I got okay. When I say run, run!" Milo informed as the man that was covered in furs made her move away from them.

"Don't you fucking touch her! Dick growled.

"So she's your bitch then. I like my girls a bit older sometimes younger just depends on the day. You have to be what seventeen? I mean you work at a zoo... I would keep you but I like pretty girls. Tell me how you got here or I will kill you," he said as he pointed the gun at her.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, also you wouldn't point a real gun at a child would you?" She asked as he shot at her feet making her jump.

"Once I get out if her I swear I will kick your fat ass!" Tim growled.

"Run!" Milo hollered as he ran up the man's pants and started biting his leg and anything else he could bite.

June took off running as the man screamed waking up more of the guards. Milo came out if the man's pants and took off running. June quickly started climbing some of the create and pushed some them over onto the armed guys making some trapped or knocked out as she was trying everything to lose some of them.

"A little help!" She hollered as the cheetah quickly took out a man and the panda was pushing over creates.

The snake quickly chased three people in a corner and an ostrich quickly kicked them hard knocking the breath out of there lungs. Boxes were falling over and June quickly started hitting people with wooden planks as hard as she could.

"Get that little bitch!" The fat man screamed as june found a better gun in a pile of broken boxes.

She quickly entangled two men and froze as a guy started shooting at her.

"No....," Tim said softly as everything went quite.

"Looks like we got her!" The fat man asked as the cheetah knocked him down and bit his hand making him let go of his gun.

He screamed and the cheetah dragged him away and the ostrich quickly knocked him out. Garfield was trying to hold back his tears knowing she was gone now. He lost another team mate to this mess and she didn't even stand a chance of winning.

"I found the key! Well actually Milo found the key!" June said as she smiled holding the key.

"You psyco path don't fucking do that!" Tim yelled as dick started laughing.

"You are out of your fucking mind!" Richard said as Roy looked at her shocked.

"Yeah please don't ever do that again, i almost had a heart attack," Wally informed.

"Well I never said I was sane now did I, I am so lucky that a crate saved my ass and that cheetah is Hella fast," she said as she she started freeing them.

"Don't you ever risk your life for us ever again!" Garfield said as he hugged her tightly.

"You would do the same for me, powers or no powers," she smiled as the doors opened and everyone got into fighting stances except for Garfield who put June behind him.

"June how did you get here?" Batman asked as they all relaxed a bit.

"Um It's a very long story so um... I talked to the fox gave me an address.. I couldn't figure out how to get a hold of you so I went here and I may or may not have freed all the animals and asked for there help. Also I found Garfield and some of his friends to. I know you told me to stay but I was afraid of what they were going to do to Garfield I MEAN Beast Boy! He can shape shift so I knew that his powers would be worth a lot to poachers," she informed weakly.

"You came here without any weapons?" Another man asked and she froze seeing it was super man.

"Yeah.. I know really stupid but I wasn't thinking!" She informed as she felt all the color drain from her face.

"Well done, your on the team," batman said as she couldn't even say anything.

"Sorry? But I um.. I can't fight, I pass out when I see blood and I'm not good in very stressful situations!" She informed as he actually smiled at her.

"She did something stupid, she shouldn't even be here," superman said.

"Your right but while I was in Peru she was here. They might be dead now if she wasn't here. They laid out a trap for me and even with all my weapons I probably would have been taken down. She had no weapons and convince a bunch of wild animals and a rat to fight them. As for stressful you did good and you did fight without giving it a second thought," he said as Garfield smiled.

"Told you your powers were amazing," he said as he hugged her again.

"Cool we got another girl on the team, hi I'm Wally," Wally said as Tim kicked him in the balls.

"Not now you idiot we got to take the animals home and take these people to jail," he informed.

"So I'm guessing you are on the spandex team!" Milo said as she picked him up.

"We are on the team not just me. Also it's heros not spandex," she clarified.

"Can't wait to get these collars off! When I get my powers back I'm going to kick your child size ass!" Wally informed as he was in pain.

"In your dreams!"

"Oh my gosh I'm going to die and I haven't even been trained or nothing!" She sighed as they started to leave the building.
