What's with the boxes? Paige Burgin thought as she got home one day after school.

"Mom?"

"Yes Paige?" Paige's mom asked from the kitchen. "Come in here! Me and your dad need to talk!"

"OK! Let me throw my stuff upstairs real quick!" Paige yelled as she ran upstairs and set her bag on her bed. She looked in the mirror before heading down.

She saw a brunette, blue eyed girl starring back. She was wearing a too big for her sweatshirt and jeans, she also wore nice black knee high boots. It wasn't anythong special but it kept attention away. I definitely didn't want to be bothered at school. She kept her hair in tight side pony tail.

She quickly got back downstairs and got to the average sized kitchen. Her parents were sitting on the small breakfast bar and pointing to the chair in between there. She quickly climbed up and sat down.

"Okay, so your dad got promoted." Mrs. Burgin said shifting her eyes at her husband.

"Which is great mom." Paige replied wondering what was up.
Dad was a great worker he earned it.

"And because I got promoted, they are moving me to another office....... In Pennsylvania." Her dad said like it was a crime

"So we are moving?" Paige asked.

"Yes." Her parents said at the same time.

"Great! When? I can go start packing...?" Paige replied. She honestly didn't care that they were moving.

"Well in a week." Her mom said still sneaking glances at her husband.

"OK. I'll go start packing some stuff then." Paige said getting up from the chair. She started walking out of the kitchen but before she looked back and saw her parents looking at eachother surprised.

They must've thought I would have cared and made a fit. Moving might actually help me. The new girl never gets a second glance.
Paige thought as she started packing the clothes she wouldn't need for the week.

Maybe it will be nicer in Pennsylvania. Probably better then North Carolina.

She just about finished her dressier clothes. Oh no! Homework!

Paige went too her backpack and opened it up. Notebook. Check. Homework. Check. Notes. Check. And my book..... Ah here it is.
She thought as she pulled everything she needed out. And my pencil. She grabbed a pencil from her desk and started working on math.

Ugh. 9th graders have soo much homework!

She thought about what the house would look like. Would it be smaller? Bigger? I guess she'll see. After doing homework for a while she started to drift off to sleep, dreaming about 'Pennsylvania'.
