"I don't want your money, Rick. If you want a divorce grant this wish of mine." Della clenched her fist, trying to control her tears.

"Will enlighten me about this wish of yours, Dell?" Rick asked.

"I want three months time before the divorce. Dellrick's admission into first grade is in two and a half month and I don't want to get divorced before that and in those three months, you continue our old breakfast routine." She told him her wishes.

"Your wish is quite weird. Instead of getting 35% of my wealth you are choosing a rather simple thing Dell but your wish is granted. After three months if you want to keep Dellrick with you then you can keep him otherwise I'm ready to take my son's responsibility but remember the day these three months end you will have to sign these divorce papers without any excuse. Is it clear?" He asked.

"Yes lov... I mean Rick, everything is crystal clear," saying so she went inside the kitchen and Rick went to take a bath as he came here in the morning and know he wants to get changed and go to the office. Only if he would have looked into her eyes, he would have seen pain and longing in it but may be due to her increasing ugliness and deteriorating health he might have lost his interest in her. But she still wouldn't tell him the real reason for her wishes because she didn't want him to pity her.

NEXT DAY

"Della, why didn't you prepare breakfast yet? I'm hungry." Rick asked Della in an irritated tone.

"You forgot my wish so early Rick."
She told in a painful tone still sleeping in the bed.

Then Rick remembered their old breakfast routine where he used to prepare breakfast daily and then as soon as Dell would come out of the bathroom, he would carry her in his arms to the breakfast table. He used to place her on his lap and then feed her with his own hands. He doesn't exactly remember when they did it last time. Maybe one or two years back.

He went into the kitchen and hurriedly prepared the breakfast and kept it on the dining table. Then he went inside their bedroom and as soon as she came out from the bathroom he took her in his arms and went towards the dining table. Their son Dellrick clapped his hands and was laughing happily watching them like this. Looking at his cheerful face they both smiled. Dellrick has a cute dimple on his left cheek whenever he smiles just like Della.

As he placed Della on his lap he just remembered the day after their marriage how Della's face was lit up with a smile when he told her that this would be their daily breakfast routine until they get old and how he had promised himself that day that he would never let her beautiful smile fade away. But there is a wide difference between that Della and this Della. Now she wasn't even the shadow of the beauty that she was in the past.

He then feeds her with his own hands and after she was full Dellrick asked him to feed him also so he feeds him four bites and then told him to eat the rest with his hands as he was getting late for office and he too didn't have his breakfast yet.
